Stories like these are precisely why I own guns. Imagine how different these stories would be if the story went: Someone broke into my house... until I came out with an AR-15, and they then ran out of the house. It wouldn't make for a good story, though.
The night terror stories always seem to scare me the most. Also there are quite a few stories in here that bring up the topic of toxic relationships. That would be great for horror stories in the future!
Story 5 is something similar to my story…. This happened many years ago .a painting that my great uncle painted we had on our wall fell. This was very weird since the painting was secure on the wall and had never fell. Maybe 5 minutes later we got news that my great uncle died. I remember that and it’s very weird. The painting has never fallen after that.
The "gut" feeling should never be ignored. Its you noticing differences visually, without consciously knowing, in what the person is saying and and what they're doing. Theres certain ques in a person's body language, eyes, and tone that we may not notice but our brain picks em up and says something's off
Definitely. Gut instinct is there for a reason. If you have to try and convince your own subconscious it's wrong about something, it's almost certainly right.
My gut tells me when things are wrong a lot. I used to live in Dayton Ohio, last year a guy named Brandon who was from Bevercreek, he got shot and killed on the west side of Dayton, well a bunch of stuff happened before he was killed, the kids who killed him lived near were me and my boyfriend were living. One night I was at work getting ready to come home, I got off at 10:30 pm, my boyfriend gets off at 3am. But his boss made him mad and he let my boyfriend go home for the night. He called me and told me he was gonna beat me home and that we could order some pizza when I get home. As I was leaving he called me again and said “don’t come home, I was almost car jacked, park at the Krogers down the road and don’t come home till I call you and tell you it’s safe to come home”. I sped home as fast as I could. We got everything on house camera footage. The cops came and said “we know who those guys are but we can’t do anything cause of our Prosecutors. They left, a week later the same guys broke my back windshield of my car, we know it was them cause it was the same teens on the camera footage. The cops came again and said they couldn’t do anything about it. That night I laid in bed with my boyfriend and I said “my gut is telling me something bad is gonna happen, if we don’t move, we need to move”. He trusted me and we did. 3 weeks later Brandon, he was a Lyft driver, he was shot and killed by 4 teens. My boyfriend looked up the case and it was the same teens that did what they did to us. You can look up the article, it’s “Lyft driver Brandon shot and killed in the west side of Dayton Ohio”. If we didn’t leave it could have been us.. My gut was right. It makes me so sad, cause it even says in the article “the juveniles were known to cause issues in the area” me and my boyfriend were some of the people who have been reporting them. The cops said themselves “we know these teens”. An innocent man had to die cause the cops and the jury didn’t take anything serious.. I’m just thankful my boyfriend trusted me.. here’s the article here if you wanna read it. www.whio.com/news/local/1-dead-with-gunshot-wounds-after-crash-dayton/3ZWOI5WECVD67ED43AOG64NHRA/?outputType=amp

Story #2 is upsetting, especially when it comes to the little brother, Scotty, being screamed at by the dad's gf, Kathy. I hope the father has seen her true colors since then and that the children are safe.
Yeah, that pisses me off. I understand being lonely, but there's not excuse to not take his own children seriously, nor their safety. I would've kicked Kathy out at that point.

They weren't wondering how the person got into the basement, they were wondering how they got into the house in the first place. The basement was obviously open and unlocked, and it's not mystery how someone got in there, but that person had to enter the house first to get into the basement. Usually, you notice when someone enters a house. We don't know whether the doors to the house were locked or not, it's not specified, but even if they were not locked, you'd likely hear them opening and closing when someone enters.

I'll never forget the ONE time I experienced sleep paralysis. It was 100% without a doubt the most terrifying experience in my life. Not being able to move, feeling like the figure over me was choking me until I woke up to absolutely nothing. I know people get curious but I hope nobody has to experience sleep paralysis
@@luisbalbuena6563 There's a name for that condition, but I cannot fully recall it. It isn't sleep paralysis, but shares some similarities. I've had past experiences of waking up being unable to move or breathe, but never saw any figures.
When a child or someone else tells you something is up especially with a partner, listen to them and do not ignore their warnings because they notice things more. I love that the Grandma warned her granddaughter about that boy. It means she's still watching over her.
Thank you for taking the extra time to make these longer, given they’re once a week a lot of us really appreciate them 15-20 minutes but 30 is generous
That particular condo has different shaped balconies. That one was the hexagon shape if I do say so myself. They used to be painted different colors but as the saying goes by the time I got there they were all a bright gray color. Young man you might just be onto something.
The last one about sleep paralysis, while it may not be physically 'real' is by far the most terrifying imo. The absolute dread and terror when you're awake but can't move is something else, and is made exponentially worse with shadow figures hovering over you...
@@asbestosispoison I had one where a little girl with big green eyes and blonde hair was just walking and crawling around my bed but she was adorable so I didn’t feel frightened, the second time I had a screaming in my ear and my body felt cold from some sort of impending doom

The one with the basement send shivers down my spine and tears pricked in my eyes. This happened to me too in my basement when I was in high school. The voice is burned in my head and to this day I don’t know what to make of it.
I’ve heard my parents call me before and go downstairs only for them not to be there or be outside in the garage. It’s definitely scary but even more so when I know they are not in the house at all.
This is more common than you think. I even mentioned it on a previous video. I'm going to guess it probably was even coming from over your shoulder behind and off to the side a little bit. Not quite a whisper but not quite a normal tone of voice. Most people have heard their name and go to answer and no one would be there. I would be really interested to find out about this phenomenon that most people have experienced. It happened to me more often when I was a teenager and less as I got older. It's a little freaky but we usually shake it off. There was a time when I would hear my name and no one there that I'd actually go to the other room saying did you call me and nobody is there.
Story 4, the fact that those women use the whole "men are perverts and women are not" thing to their advantage to get him arrested is absurd. If the roles were reversed, and the dude accused them, they wouldnt get charged.

Story 7 creeped me out the most. (The music was a nice touch!) But this one struck a chord: since I was a kid, my mother has always warned me that if you hear your name being called, and you have even the tiniest doubt, do not answer. If you hear a knock, do not answer. Now I stress that with my own family.
Story 7 sounds similar to a horror story I've heard times before; a kid (preferably a teenager) comes home, calls out to his mother, she calls back from upstairs, the kid goes upstairs as she keeps calling back, but then the kid hears his mother enter through the front door.
The fact the voice sounded exactly the same each time left me wondering if someone had been living in the crawl space, listened to the family, recorded the mother saying the son’s name, waited until the son was home alone, then tried to lure him into the crawl space using the recording of his mother calling out to him.
What I love about Mr. Nightmare's stories is that they aren't about demons, spirits, or people being possessed. It's about actual creepy people and situations that genuinely could happen and would just be freakin' scary.
i dunno. i understand that dudes anger. imagine making it official with your gf and the next morning she calls you to break up because a picture fell off the wall. id be angry too.

AHAH exactly I kept thinking of that story too, story 7 genuinely freaked me out and these stories haven’t gotten to me in a while. I also have a vast basement that’s often times dark cause it’s old and not many lights, so the whole time I was listening to the story I was imagining it happening within my basement with my mothers voice.
Story 7 is so terrifying to think that maybe someone was in there putting a loop of their moms voice leading them down into there just waiting for them to look in there😓😬
Most likely if true the "tape recorder phenomenon" or "audio archaeology." A possible yet unknown to scientific method phenomena where audio can be played back. It may also work visually, and could be the cause of so-called apparition sightings.

I've had a similar sleep paralysis situation. This was 2 nights ago. It was around 3 in the morning and I was having a bad dream, which pretty much never happens. In the dream, my friends and I were trapped in this little 5x5 wall-chipped room, with paintings of kids hands on the wall. We all sat down and started drawing on the wall for some reason. This pinkish beige-ish goop started pouring from out a child sized hole in the wall. One of my friends, let's call her Nicky, decided to walk up this hole and started screaming. That's unusual, since Nicky is the braver one out of the three if us. It was followed by a child giggling. My other friend, let's call this one Beth, couldn't hear the giggling, and was confused as to what had Nicky and I so freaked out. The giggles got louder and we all turned to face the wall. The little girl was right behind me at this point. I tried to stay calm but I frantically started writing on the wall. Except I couldn't spell. I tried writing 'help' and 'shes behind me. I can hear her' but it was never correctly spelt. I could feel a hand on my shoulder at this point. This is when I started snapping back to reality. My eyes were open, but I could still hear the little girl laughing, and feel the hand in my shoulder. I woke up fully when my mam started shaking me. It was her hand on my shoulder. I haven't slept right since then. It felt far too real
@@johnjeckell1953 Nope, her claims can actually be verified by science. What made me realize this was real was the sentence, "I tried writing 'help' and 'she's behind me i can hear her' but it was never correctly spelt". You can't functionally read or spell in a dream because reading and writing is controlled by the right side of the brain, while dreams are controlled by the left side. When you're dreaming, the right side of your brain is unconscious leading to a complete failure of any attempts to read and write while in a dream.
I had the same sort of experience as story 7. Basically, when I was 8-9 I used to live in this farm/house in the middle of hills and there wasn’t another house for a while. Me and my family where moving out for personal reasons and we were all aware there was some sort of paranormal things happening in that house. But it wasn’t enough for us to be petrified yk. And me and my dad went back to the house while my brother and mum was at our new house, me and my dad where just getting all the leftover stuff/fridge and food. Outside we had this rope swing with a shed next to it. I was having fun with my dad inside and then I heard my mum shout. “[my name] [my brothers name] dinner is ready!” I was like ok! But then I remembered my mum wasn’t here? She was at my new house? As I realised I freaked out, jumped off the rope swing, and ran to my dad. I told him and we left soon after.. later that week we did drive back bc I had a Wendy house in the back garden we used as storage space. My parents went to grab it all and my and brother stayed in the car out the front. Everything was going fine and then as we were driving away for the last time, I saw a man in a window on the top floor. Nobody was in the house.
I could be 100% wrong but someone could've been living there with y'all? In the walls maybe? Far fetched but it's happened a bunch of times. Or just someone breaking in alot.
The grandma in story 8 is so careless. The fact that she didn’t tell the kids parents either is such a cunning thing to do. I don’t understand people who think it’s okay to leave kids under 10 at home alone to go shopping. Just take them with you. I can never leave my younger siblings at home alone because I’m so paranoid that someone might break in.
I grew up in the '80s-'90s and I remember being left in the car with my cousin, while my aunt or mom shopped too many times to count, but this started when we were about eight or nine. Nothing ever happened to us and we were never scared. Sometimes we would be in there alone for up to an hour. I'm a mom now, and no way in hell would I ever do this. I don't care if I'm going in the store to get a paper clip, my children come with me.
I stayed whole Summer's starting at age 9 alone in the 1970s and '80s as an only child. However my parents were home from work by 3:00 p.m. and we had a big German shepherd. It's just how you properly raise your kids or not. I would have never dreamed of showing any guns to my friends or touching them or answer the door to anyone or tell anyone on the phone I was alone. And as a teenager I never even got into the alcohol because I knew if I ever screwed up I would lose my freedom. The good thing about it is if I ever end up alone because of relationship breakup or a death I always manage to survive much better than other, it's like the resiliency seen in pioneer children
More channels should have a disclaimer like the one in the begining of this video. So many people steal content and with AI now, it's much more common. I will never understand why people tell a possible intruder, someone, who's threatening violence or harm, that they are gonna call the cops...just call the dam cops!
Wow, tonight’s selection were certainly good. There were definitely some scary ones. I do hope the person experiencing night terrors is no longer experiencing any hallucinations.
Very much agreed, a lot of these got me genuinely concerned for the people involved in them (especially if the person used present tense whilst telling their story). Hope everyone's okay-!
I have never had night terrors or sleep paralysis, but I can imagine those can be extremely terrifying to experience. My ex-friend did describe me what it was like being a sleep paralysis, and he told me that these scary figures resembling a person whose facial features he couldn't see, would slowly walk towards him from the darkness, unable to move. And just as the mysterious figure was about to touch him, he'd snap back into reality feeling very anxious and scared.
@@charlenewhite-di4lk you can make it end first address what sin you did that allowed it to occur for me, I guess it was dabbling in magic repent. takes a long time, I had it years it ended
The second story was scary because it reminds me of how people are willing to sacrifice their children to be in a sexual relationship or a relationship period. My father my he RIP dated a filthy skank that would have tried to harm me if she'd had a opportunity but was scared my father would have did something to her if she did. I hope the person in the second story is safe and find someone to talk to that can help.
chicks crazy for that. i’d be mad if someone broke up with me after a day because of a stupid picture frame falling. bet she’s probably one of those crystal girls also.
For Story 6. That is why it is always good to park your car or jeep in a bushy tree area you can cover up with leaves, plan ahead, make sure a blanket is covering up the back all the way up to the back seats with a dimmed latern and a good book, maybe an MP3 player, make sure you are not parked near water, also make sure you car is looks like a bush for show, then you can sleep soundly without any disturbances.
I found another channel that's really good too. It's brand new but looks like it's gonna be a good one judging from the stories already. youtube.com/@TalesFromTheCryptic666
That last story I can sort of relate to. I'm currently on sleep paralysis medicine, so I haven't had anymore episodes. However, I never saw anything terrifying because I kept my eyes closed until I was able to move again. If sleep paralysis demons are real and if you see more than one figure, that likely means there's not only one but 2 or more demons messing with you at once, and that's horrifying.
I think the explanation for Story 7 is that there must've been someone spying on his house, and managed to record his mom yelling his name one time. They would've then used it to lure him into the crawl space, which is I assume why whenever she yelled his name it sounded the same.
That's not a bad explanation that actually makes people think. However when you think about it carefully you start to realize that even that doesn't really make sense. Mainly because of a few reasons such as, the dude was all the way upstairs and he heard his name being called without a single change of tonality or pace or anything. Like what are you gonna use to play back the voice with? A phone? No way. A speaker? How the hell would you not realize what's coming from an electronic device? And I'm also gonna assume that there's no escape from the basement other than the entrance which is also the only way out, so since the dude ran outta there and slammed the door shut, how was there not any devices, play back devices and even people found when the family investigated together? Unless there's like an exit to outside from the basement, it doesn't really make sense but idk.
Lesson Learned, listen to the kids of "New Family" and nobody listen...what a neglecting and irresponsible father, mother, etc. never bring a uncomfortable person Amazing work Mr. Nightmare.
The story of the mom calling for her son is similar to my experience. It was night time and I had to go to bed then I kept hearing women calling my name playfully for five minutes. i was frightened and couldn't move from my bed to check the sound that was coming from downstairs. My family was at home and all of them were sleeping except for me. I think it was caused by lack of sleep.
Just saying Mr Nightmare, been watching your stuff for literally years since 2015, just wanted you to know you always make the end of my day I watch these videos before going to bed every single night, now me and my wife literally look forward to every new video it's literally a nightly requirement for me and her to get our binge of old or new videos, thank you for making the content you do 😁 don't ever stop 🥺

I've seen all of his videos and I have to wait for him to upload new ones. You guys are so lucky that you have so many unwatched videos. I still remember the first day I found this channel, I couldn't stop watching.
Weird thing about story 6.. I live about 2 hours from there... I know a guy who has a cabin south of there. So it'd be about an hour from where the story takes place... he and his brother went there one weekend and someone came and banged on the door as hard as possible and ran off..this is at night... there are no neighbors
My mom always told me if I heard her call me not to answer but to come find her. She said answering a voice calling your name that sounds like a loved one that isn't you loved one is actually the devil calling to you trying to get you. It scared me then and still sends chills up my spine when I hear others say the same thing has happened to them.
Coincidentally, I just watched a horror movie last night called "At the Devil's Door" that had that same sort of premise of the Devil calling for you and whatnot. Not the greatest movie, but I still enjoyed it compared to some of the complete garbage I've seen. 😄

I was just listening to volume 7 again then this came up!! I’m very happy! I loved this series since 2015.
I miss these volume stories and listened to each one of them like 15 times already. So stoked to see them back
Mr nightmare is THEE GOAT of horror stories. Absolutely love love love LOVE this man. Such a soothing voice.
That person in the 7th story has guts. I’d never go near the small closet. I’d maybe go half way down the basement stairs and turn back around.
@5:21 I feel so bad for those kids.

I thought someone had a recording of his moms voice that they were playing on repeat

That’s scary as hell

I could be 100% wrong but someone could've been living there with y'all? In the walls maybe? Far fetched but it's happened a bunch of times. Or just someone breaking in alot.

The grandma in story 8 is so careless. The fact that she didn’t tell the kids parents either is such a cunning thing to do. I don’t understand people who think it’s okay to leave kids under 10 at home alone to go shopping. Just take them with you. I can never leave my younger siblings at home alone because I’m so paranoid that someone might break in.
true. being home alone is fun until it's not.
You are a great sibling!
The good thing about it is if I ever end up alone because of relationship breakup or a death I always manage to survive much better than other, it's like the resiliency seen in pioneer children
i started getting left home when i was 10, i survived.
More channels should have a disclaimer like the one in the begining of this video. So many people steal content and with AI now, it's much more common. We want to support the original creators, not the thieves. I love that more people are protecting their content. We want Mr.Nightmare to keep the stories coming!
Another volume to just a random set of true scary stories? Epic! Nice to see the simple random themed stories here again.

Imo that one was the most terrifying...
He needs to smoke some weed nd he'd be fine
Thanks franz for asking about me
I have never had night terrors or sleep paralysis, but I can imagine those can be extremely terrifying to experience.
I do since 5 now be 50 in soon . My whole life. I hate it.

Idk why but story number 7 gave me chills. There was so many times things like that happened to me when I was home alone. Truly chilling
I love the story of the grandmas picture. Beyond the grave she’s still protecting her family 💕

It is currently 4am and wow I love watching these videos. Something about horror is somewhat comforting for me
Kathy is that you?

As much as I’ve heard that story, that idea never occurred to me. 😱
@@gagedylanYTHard SAME! 🤣🤣 Makes me feel QUITE dumb! Glad I read further on into the comments!
I was thinking abt an s walker
Or a evil spirit marks the voice of his mother
Lesson Learned, listen to the kids of "New Family" and nobody listen...what a neglecting and irresponsible father, mother, etc. never bring a uncomfortable person
Amazing work Mr. Nightmare.
27:50 comeon nigga you dont gotta do that
Story 7 freaked me out. Mimicry is very unsettling
I thought someone had a recording of his mom’s voice that they were playing on repea
Story five doesn’t seem scary to me at all. I love that her grandmother still communicated with her
The story of the mom calling for her son is similar to my experience.
Not telling your parents about going to jail is one thing but not telling them about the potential intruder coming to their home with bad intentions is such BS. They should know that information for their own safety.
Mr nightmare dropped us a video series he hasn’t made in a long time

Imagine an hour of Mr. Nightmare though
Jesus that's a terrifying thing to tell a kid lol. But I could imagine my family saying something like that too
Coincidentally, I just watched a horror movie last night called "At the Devil's Door" that had that same sort of premise of the Devil calling for you and whatnot. Not the greatest movie, but I still enjoyed it compared to some of the complete garbage I've seen. 😄

Regarding the fifth story; I wouldn’t necessarily have been freaked out, I would have felt relieved. Her grandma was looking out for her!
It was a sign!!
