Idea for lock companies: Send LPL their newest lock they are making, if he can open it within 10 seconds, they call it Moderate Security. If he takes more than 10 seconds, High security. If he somehow manages to take over 1 min, they call it MAXIMUM Security.

@@CalvinHikes taping keys is normal... but more for challenge locks. It wasn't so much the keys were taped its that the keys were taped on such an easy lock.
Inspired by your videos I bought my first kit and started picking. At first I think I may have gotten lucky with a few of the locks but now I can actually FEEL the tools working. Still working on my tension and I'm progressing from the rakes to the hooks. Thanks!!

Or even another brand of lock's key to open it..not even turn resistant with a z-bar...stick anything in it...or just simply turn the core with your thumbnail.

I just watched the IFAM Huno picking video some five years ago and LPL has been developing a lot. From an amateur vlogger to the best on RUclips. And why the best? Never unnecessary blah blah but true knowledge and clear videos and good teaching.
These videos are amazing, you've really opened my eyes as far as personal security is concerned. You've also peaked my interest as far as basic lock picking is concerned. Useful skill for those days when you forget your keys lol
There are some bypasses, where the lock is opened by just inserting the tool and turning it, so I guess they are faster. There was at least one video where the bypass was faster than using the key...

Well, i never thought id like channels like this, but i am glad i subscribed and have been a sub for a little while now. I did buy a cheap lock picking set from wish(very cheap and not worth much, i know). A few days ago my wife locked my keys in our garage and i used my cheap set and some of the things ive lear ed from watching your videos to pick it and get my keys back. Im still bad at picking but learning a few things. Our garage, i actually was in an uncomfortable position and got mad at it. I raked it and found pin 2 still not set. Got it set and felt great to get my keys back.

I have one of those el-cheapo gym locker padlocks from the all-kinds-of-chinese-junk store. I shit you not: It opens on the first "in" with the rake 95% of the time. It's a fluke when it doesn't :P
to be fair: many would be burglars are too stupid to even watch LPL, or use the correct rake for the lock. So this lock has some non zero level security.

I really wish that one very positive thing could come out of the lockpicking community, and it just so happens it would take a lawyer to accomplish it. When you say wiper insert, is this something actually made out of the metal piece in a windshield wiper? I tried to make one but the metal just snaps when bent past about 45 angle. Havent tried it with a torch yet. Any advice for a beginner is welcome.
heating it up does help, but also bending slowly can work too. without heat you're not going to get a sharp angle with a homemade tensioner, there will be more of a rounded bend because of the failure you're seeing

Depending on what you use it for, rarely people pick. Examples including bike theft is rarely picked or raked but rather bolt cutters

Yes, windshield wiper spring metal. You do have to work it carefully.

It might be the brand of the wiper. I've made dozens from old wiper blades. Never had a single one snap from bending.
