I think pointing Good Friends (which can be easily triggered by many characters) and how Jessica enables Sotheby's potential as a damage dealer are good points. Concerning Blasphemer of Night, are there other characters who can use it in the future?
Sotheby can actually be an enabler of BoN to pretty much any DPS if you wish, since her poison stacks are easy to apply and last a good while. In the future, characters like 6 and Ulu will further enable BoN as an option since they apply consistent Neg. Status as well. So, if you are already going to build BoN for Jessica, it's valid to consider using it in that way with other characters if you don't want to build Hopscotch or His Bounden Duty.

Truth be told, I actually do not have Sotheby at the moment, but pulled for Jessica anyway because there is no other Plant Reality DPS in sight until 1.6 and that I am somewhat confident that one day I would get her (either through the Golden Thread banner or by losing 50:50). So maybe I would also take my time building her and BoN... Sorry, Jessica, I have not prepared it all... 😢

That's very lucky, congrats! You don't always need the guaranteed, all you need is to win the 50/50. Sometimes you can even get two or more of the rate up 6☆ in a multi-pull if you're super lucky. I hope this guide helps you enjoy the poison team's potential, have fun! ( ﾉ^ω^)ﾉ
love Jessica i only started a under a week ago after rerolling for tooth fairy (i always reroll in gacha games and of the rate ups the other one was on the started banner and funny enough was the starter 6* i ended up getting afterwards) so im still unable to finish the event story. but shes so weird and cute hopefully i can beat the event story and see whats up with her.
Welcome to R99! I hope this guide will be useful for your journey. Since you're just starting, I recommend not trying to push many 6☆ at once as you can run out of resources fast. Pick your favorite among the ones you already have (I imagine it's Jessica) and focus on them and a couple of lower rarities first to help you get basic content cleared. You only need around Insight 2 lv 30 to clear the story mode of the event. Enjoy the story, and feel free to ask any questions!
@@liriellh ya my main team right now is Tooth Fairy, Jessica, Sonetto and Bunny Bunny. i think i have a good balance for now so ill probably not roll for a while unless Regulus gets a rate up as i raise who i have already. the only others i really have leveled is Eternity who is benched after i got Jessica at level 20 insight 1. then Satsuki, mesmer jr, and mondlicht who are max level insight 0.
I lucked out this morning and pulled Sotheby with my golden thread. Thank you for concisely explaining how to build around Jessica. Was the background music from the game? I usually play with the sound off other than for stories and it reminded me of juno reactor.
Only one. It counts as "one stack lasting two turns". Both for Poison stacks or for counting stacks for BoN, you have to check the amount of icons above the target's HP, such as how I highlighted at 3:20. I hope it's clear now!
As far as I tested, yes. It is considered a DPS loss since Jessica's White Blankie only benefits from up to 3 stacks, and you can usually deal more damage by using Jessica's skills or something else than applying extra poison. However! If you love seeing tall columns of DoT every round or if you want to turn Sotheby's ult into a Mass Nuke, then by all means, go ahead and have fun! Patch 1.5 UTTU has a special boss stage where you have to use a team composed of Jessica + Kanjira + Rabies + Sotheby, and I must admit that seeing all that DoT was pretty funny.
