- After the revelation that the hybrid were in control of the feral zerg on Aiur, Artanis sought Zeratul's council. Zeratul informed him that Amon has returned, but that the Keystone could be their salvation by showing them the way to the remaining xel'naga. Zeratul told Artanis that the Keystone is on Korhal, and Artanis tasked him with retrieving it while Artanis marshaled his forces for the coming war. Zeratul and several of his stalkers went to the Void Seeker, but found it destroyed. He was ambushed by zerg, and he ordered his forces to retreat to the nearby nexus. As he reactivated the base, Selendis informed Zeratul that she could no longer sense Artanis in the Khala, an impossibility for all Khalai. She sent Zeratul her Phasesmith, Karax, and tasked them with finding Artanis... "The Growing Shadow" mission from 'Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void' PC game... Zeratul's forces fought their way through zerg hives, and eventually encountered crazed Templar warriors who attacked him on sight. Zeratul stated they must have been corrupted by the hybrid. He found that the Templar base had fallen to the corruption, and attempted to contact Selendis, but got no response. Zeratul eventually found Artanis, who was fighting against a great rage within the Kalah. Amon's voice taunted them, stating he comes to offer salvation in oblivion. He took control of Zeratul's Khalai forces through the Khala, but was unable to corrupt Zeratul or any of his Nerazim. Zeratul fought his way to Artanis, who has been fully possessed by Amon, and affirmed that he must sever his nerve cord and remove him from the Khala and Amon's influence.Zeratul and Artanis battled, Artanis wielding red psi-blades and using void energies to repel Zeratul. In the final blow, Zeratul cut Artanis's nerve cord, but Artanis delivered a fatal blow to Zeratul. In his last moments Zeratul told Artanis the keystone will guide him to the xel'naga. Artanis expressed grief for his fallen friend, asking for forgiveness, then took up his warp blade, intending to carry on his quest to awaken the xel'naga.
“My life... for Aiur.”
Awesome last words Zeratul, you went out like the boss you are.
Yes I know they aren’t technically his last words but that’s irrelevent
I was really hit by that line
This is even better knowing that the nerazim's blades, are powered by their strenght of will.
Just for clarification. Do all Protoss have the same Nerazim Blades or is it only exclusive for the Dark Templars?
The warp blades are nerazim exclusive.only the shadowguard zealots and nerazim dt's use em. The Khalai protoss use psi blades which is instead fueled by their psionic energy and the channelled or focused into blades with their gauntlets
@@dragonfable66 thanks!
Zeratul: I don't feel so good
Dang dude.
14:43 "The blood haze has lifted. The demon's fire has burnt out in my veins. I... have... freed... myself".
Protos are like Orcs uncorrupted
Orca are corrupted by fell magic....
Zeratul should’ve picked void prison so he can easily cut Artanis’ nerve cord. But he picked shadow assault which didn’t work well against a warrior such as Artanis.
So, pick VP every time, Zeratul!
Well, as a former X'el Naga, Amon is also one with the Void, so he'd fend VP off with ease
With Artanis's skill set, I dont think Zeratul can hold him off long.
Underrated comment.
not researched yet
Or not talk for like 2 minutes
Tassadar and Zeratul.
Both lived as so called "traitors", both of them sacrificed themselves for their people, both of them remain as unforgotten heroes.
En Aru'din, Zerathul.
Gosh, this made me cry.
En Arodim, Zeratul.
While Mengsk spent his life destroying the future of anyone who cross his path, Zeratul dedicated his life, risking it everytime, to save the future for all.
zeratul wouldn't have died if the stalkers that came with him helped ouy
Aaron Beaulieu I guess they couldn've gave him half a second while artanis slaughtered them... But who knows, maybe that's all he needed.
We can probably assume they were fending off Amon's forces
@@zxKAOS14 stalkers vs those 12 zealots and 2 immortals they must be doing gods work
He lives on coop, just like I suspected. He returned back to his SC1 badass self, gave Artanis a haircut, survived and proceeded to kick some ass with rest of heroes.
Welp, Mengsk is on coop too but he's dead

Wouldn't cutting off your nerve cord for a Protoss be like a Terran cutting off their junk? Either way, that's deep!
no it's more like, if you had a second throat, cutting it out?
they use the nerve cords to communicate and sense each others emotions
@@Sentralkontrol Maybe he is communicating with his junk.
You must construct additional Pylons.
Additional Overlords required
You must construct additional Supply Depots
Spawn more Pylons
Build more farms.
ZERATUL NOOOOOO!
13:40 “UNLIMITED POWWWAAAAA!!!!!!”
I have fulfilled my destiny, young Artanis. And so you must fulfill yours...
Zeratul is Artanis's Older Brother
Wait what? Zeratul is a Nerazim while Artanis is Templar so,how?
Selenbitch: *pleading voice* Zeratul, save Artanis.
Zeratul: What?! WHAT?! DIDN'T YOU WANT ME ARRESTED AND CALLED ME A TRAITOR, WITH ABSOLUTE CONTEMPT IN YOUR VOICE, JUST A FEW FUCKING HOURS AGO?!
That pylon in the start though 💀
idk but why don't you just construct that pylon in the circle why you built 2 i mean it's not right for me that building outside that circle omg im so frustrated with people like thiss OMG
I hate you for not putting the pylon on the circle.
Never did understand why stalkers dont come with him .(
It's a RTS whose plot rotates around single characters like a TV Series.
because zeratul orderd the stalker to warn they bretheren
You are a logical being my friend, I understand your pain. Just make your own reason. Maybe they were holding back the corrupt protoss from the fight.
For what? I dont see how making Artanis's shield 10% smaller would help, if target is nerve cords.
Nice.
Do protoss really need to talk like a robot...
Friend that
Friend this
Friend those
its fine
friend
It is their culture, you racist.
If you ask me they seem to sound more like auto bots from transformers but yeah
Many people on earth speak like that, the arabic languages use the word sadiq which means friend or my friend, english use dude and mate and so on. Spanish use amigo, hombre or ese.
ARTANIS YOU MURDERER! YOU KILLED ZERATUL!
It was amons doing
It is Amon

Just a question, do all protoss turn to ashes when they die?
So they couldn't revive him and put him in a dragoon?
@@MikeSmith-vb8ul Would that work on a Dark Templar? Dragoons were a Templar thing, and thus probably reliant on the Khala to work properly, since that's pivotal to their culture. Zeratul doesn't have access to that - hence not being mind controlled by Amon. Unless Stalkers are the literal Dark Templar equivalent in the resurrection aspect as well as their combat role, it seems unlikely that would work.
@@rashkavar kinda old, but when a protoss dies he is dead. When a protoss is badly injured he can be turned into a dragoon/stalker for dt. I think Protoss armors teleport Templar away so they can be made into dragoons. But yeah if they really die they can't be revived in a dragoon
@@enriquesb1528 Oh interesting.
I was going by the bit from the mission briefing of Starcraft's 7th campaign mission for the Protoss, when Dragoon Fenix is introduced:
Tassadar: "Fenix? It can't be! The Executor told me of how you fell before the Zerg. How is it that you live and breathe?"
Fenix: "Ha hah... Well, after my unfortunate defeat, my ruined body was recovered by our brethren. I now reside within the cold, robotic shell of a Dragoon.
It's not much to go on, but from that, I'd gotten the impression that he was killed, his corpse was recovered, and they did whatever they do with corpses to make them into Dragoons. Him lying there wounded but alive, then being recovered later, still alive but injured past the point of recovery also fits that well enough. Nobody outright says he was dead.

Thats what happened, when you get storyline in the hands of an unprofessional chik. Most disappointing and stupid story in SC lore.
