For the 20th anniversary of the original BJFe Honeybee Overdrive, Björn Juhl has now brought the sound of his classic low-gain overdrive to the One Control Mini pedal platform, featuring both the classic Honeybee warm syrupy texture with Modern/Vintage Switch and a special new Custom version, with enhanced gain and a hot crimson finish. Gold finish is classic, Crimson finish is the high gain variant.
Brilliant arrangement mike! Great tone as always too!
Thanks so much! It’s a killer OD
It’s still rock and roll to me as well! Sounds amazing
_thx for this great playing nd sounding Demo! I have one HB in my collection and I love the feature when it goe's trble-Down and shows THAT bass bump!_
_ahhh.....it's not a Trebble-knob. on my HoneyBee it's called NATURE_
All of their pedals sound great
I own a few OC mini drives. Glad to see the Honey Bee shrunk!
One Control makes amazing mini’s
This might be one of my favorites from them

@@popintothechemist Well that said. I will be getting one on your advice. That will be my sixth OC drive pedal. Every one is different, every one sounds good.
As a Jersey Man, I approve!!
Ha! How can you not?
The Xvive Sweet Leo is secretly the best iteration of this circuit ;)
sweet tone. enjoy the time sig changes. i love Ocean by Led Zep for that reason. the end section can be made very interesting. anyway, killer tones and playing.
Thanks for watching. The pedal have killer tone. I love that tune ‘the Ocean’
@@popintothechemist i'd love to hear your take on it on a demo soon.
As always, Mike makes this sound great. My issue is, can/will I make it sound great? I have quite a few overdrives, and, really I am chasing a tone in my head... I want a clean tone, a slightly pushed, edge of breakup thang. Then just a bit more. Then a lot more. I usually achieve this with a TS type of pedal, a marshally pedal combined with using my guitar volume knob. Works for me, but I have too many pedals already. This sounds very usable though.
Order two snouse bb2 pro mods one set to high gain the other to boost, or one snouse bb2 hit with a timmy or tumnus. Add a 10 band eq in your loop and you have every fender, vox, orange, marshall sound you want.
@@dingusfuzzklonnkt2755 thanks for that, but I'm not buying anything else at this point. Been chasing tone since the 70s, and, like I said, have pedals in boxes that I rarely use. I don't play out anymore, live or studio, so no pressure, just for fun now.
This is great for the medium gain thing. It’s crazy how much it cleans up just by playing softly
@@mikelundquist4596 I was turned onto running high gain pedal first. One that cleans up very well with the guitars volume knob. Then follow that with lower gain pedals. Clears out any mud in the high gain when stacking. My choice for serious gain, Abasi Pathos.
Hi! Have you tried the Vertex Dynamic Distortion V2 ( seafoam color): blew my mind with its dynamics:and from crystal clean to marshall to fuzz...., I have 3 haha, and each one with a local deal half price: 100€s! What a Pedal!
Can you power this with a battery?
Yes
I already have a sweet honey overdrive (and back then I thought I was being frugal when I got the CB version) I wonder if I could hear any differences in this if I had them side by side.
I’m sure there is probably at least a slight difference… I’m curious as well!
Nowadays you can't be too sentimental. All these Boomers and Xers running around love that sht, saying ''GIMME MORE!''. Ah, fond memories of cranking that 45rpm record before going to school. Billy was the Jewish Elvis, instead of ending up fat and feeding Frankie's cougars out in Vegas he ended up crashing cars and hawking motorcycles out east. Recession, oppression, it's all the same thing, man.
who r U talking 2...
@@boimesa8190 haha love it
