What happened to the idea of effective economic sanctions? Over 1000 western large corporations are still doing business in Russia!
Boycott UNILEVER.
Economic and other sanctions do have a significant effect, but they cannot stop a war. Besides, if a Western company is still running a factory there or running a chain of shops, this doesn't make any difference for the war. If that company left Russia, then the factory would just be taken over by Russia, then restarted, and they would still make the exact same products. Same logic is true for the shops. McDonalds leaving Russia makes ZERO difference for the war and is only symbolic. The real sanctions are about blocking foreign funds, blocking access to money, not buying their gas and oil, blocking access to advanced electronics and technology,... Corporations still doing business inside Russia makes no difference, as long as they are not making weapons or bringing in "illegal" resources.
@@janickpauwels3792
That’s only partially true. Any non-Russian Co doing business in Russia maintains financial connections with a Western fin institution which can be used for laundering money, etc. Making ANY financial connections illegal would close the still existing 1K+ avenues.
My comment is about inadequacy of our, Western leaders to use economic sanctions in coordinated way. For ex, say the West says to China & India that unless they stop doing ANY business with Russia tomorrow at noon THE WHOLE WEST will stop buying stuff from them tomorrow at noon as well. The reason this [obviously exaggerated] scenario is not considered boils down to the inadequacy I am alluding here. It also indirectly boils down to a conclusion that the West ‘prefers’ wars to peaceful solutions. This inadequacy costs lives and literally endangers peace for the rest of us.

What a great conversation.
Wow! Great interview Kate, you are my favorite interviewer with Phillip Ingram, brilliant man. Mr Ingram shares my respect and awe of another highly intelligent person, General Kryllo Budanov. This was an action packed piece and certainly perked up my morning cup of tea. Today is already feeling much more optimistic. 🇺🇦🇺🇸🇬🇧🇦🇺
Keep sending them money and weapons, the UKRAINIAN NAZIS ARMY are being fooked properly fooked. You won't find the truth here.
💛💙💜💙💛 100% Ukrainians defending themselves and their country!! They must win!! We must do all we can to make sure they won!! 🇺🇦 🌏 🇺🇸
The Russians put up such a good deception of their own strength that they fell for it themselves 😂😂😂
Excellent commentary and insight.
This man is really informative and insightful. I could listen to him for hours. Great interview.
perhaps you could, but he is lying

Agree 💯... wouldn't mind hearing from him again!
Russian 🇷🇺 Ruble has crashed, touching 91 Rubles to 1 Dollar 💲
Ruble has turned to rubble, I wonder if that's why there are no bots here any more lol
There are still a few. I argued with what I think was one person on 5 accounts yesterday
@@drfill9210 I think Priggy was paying them, that's why they're gone. Either that or they can't get a COLA increase as their currency collapses lol
This type of economic damage to Russia will be their biggest long-term problem. Even when the war comes to an end the damage to their economy will persist for years, probably decades even after sanctions are lifted, if they eventually are. Who would trust the Russians with investment again?
Still that realy doesn’t affect his war, be realistic plz.
Talking about "Maskirovka", what if the whole battle for Bakchmut was just a strategy to divert attention from a massive Russian build-up of a new attack force elsewhere (e.g. Kremimma/Svatove) as it starts to transpire in recent days? The thousands of dead and wounded Russian prisoners were just expendable. Cynically even considered a cleansing operation with regard to Russian prisons?
We could do with more people like Philip Ingram running the UK. Straight-talking, clued-up, articulate, experienced, moral. Slava Ukraine!
Yes, everyone likes a liar who says what we want them to say. In other words, a yes man.
But, Boris....
@@joshuaalistair3193Hoist by your own petard. You just did the same, so how about you listen to what he said, discern what is likely by applying your faculties acquired as a sensate adult, and voila!
And not corrupted by Kremlin money unlike Tory Party, Brexit & Johnson.

Wow - fascinating stuff - wonderful to listen to Mr Ingram’s views .. intelligent man & straight shooter 🙇♀️👍👍✌️
Thank you so much for covering this topic and for having such an expert as a guest. 💙💛🇬🇪💙💛 . P.s. I have been watching russian channels recently and even their propaganda machine seems to be broken.

So you do know that this is propaganda too... ?
@@jamieprice23 I was 1st told about Chinese propaganda back in the 80's in primary school. At that moment I thought could we, in Australia, have subtle propaganda that we can't see. As I got older with more life experience I found. Yes we have propaganda that most people can't see🙈💤🤖
One of the best guests you’ve ever had. He’s Brilliant.
Yes, he's a brilliant liar. UN inspectors are on site at Zaporizhizhia Nuclear Power Plant and send back reports daily. They report that no Russian explosives are being planted. A disaster at the ZNPP would spew radioactive material all over the Russian controlled parts of Ukraine, so it would make no sense for them to sabotage the ZNPP. Russians get better info than Westerners are getting from their miserable lying media and governments.
He's putting a good spin on Ukraine's failed offensive
Really interesting interview. Thank you

Churchill was sssssoooo much smarter than pootin.
You do not forget where W. CHURCHELL is presently situated. You try to engage directly with the Russian Triad, you will join Winston british bulldog expeditiously. No doubt at all! Try it, the success is waiting for you 6 feet below ground.
@@stuartx7865 Nope both Putin and Stalin were huge geniuses. Churchill was smart too but not that much

I’m really fussy with who I listen to about this war, and there’s so much propaganda and bias on both sides. But this dude seemed good, he seemed balanced and gave both sides with no apparent agenda.
Really enjoyed this informative interview…hope you bring the guest back for a part 2 analysis
An intelligent and erudite insight. Thank you.
Well said by a brilliant man
Really good conversation. Thanks
Do an interview with Scott Ritter and Col. Mgreggor.
What a enjoyable interview. Such a intelligent and knowledgeable man 🙋♀️
Yes he is very good at propaganda and misinformation
A thoughtful commentary from someone who knows his stuff.
No he doesn't. This man is part of the military arms and nato who are killing people. They are keeping nato away. And nato have been murdering peoplesince ww2
He knows only western media narratives and not facts.
brilliant analysis, great interview
