i like the knives, I am a knife gal. i like the beads as i am native american. i would leave those natural or clear coat and string them with some wood beads and glass pony beads multi colored on a peice of leather for a necklace.
So glad you liked the knives and the beads, that's a great idea for a necklace! Thanks for watching! 👍
Nice little projects! You had ideas, and you created something. I'm a lot like you; I'm always out in my shop making or repairing things. Keeping your mind and hands busy is the best therapy there is. 👍
I couldn't agree more, there’s nothing like shop time to clear your head! 👍👋
Liked the Concho and the ferrous rod. All of the beers I liked, too.

Thanks Rick, BSA coming on Monday! It turned out pretty nice! Take care 👍👋
Good video, working with leather and just bought 3 small shed antlers at an antique store, so now I have some ideas other than what I originally planned (button closure for a leather bag.) Love the ferro rod handle, definitely going to try that one!!! Thanks for the ideas!!!
So glad you found some good ideas for your antlers! Thanks for watching! 👍

Another super day at the workshop Dave. They all looked good but i would put the ferro rod/handle as the winner; the curve of the antler made it look nice. Thanks for sharing. Rog
Thanks Rog, glad you enjoyed the video and liked the ferro rod! Happy to share! 👋
Great video
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! 👍
Awesome ideas Dave!! I have made some beads and ferro rods before. I will use your concho idea on knife sheaths for sure!! Love the content Dave!! Later.
Thanks Chuck, fun stuff, happy to share! 👍👋
Good class thanks 😊
Thanks for watching, I'm glad it was helpful! 😊
Pretty nice stuff fr
Appreciate you watching! 👍
I think I like the feral rod best and the lanyard beads are a close second. It is all great I wish I had a place to use as a work shop to do those things. If I had a place I don't know if I could sit in one place long enough to accomplish anything. God bless you Brother, God is Good!
Glad you liked the ferro rod and beads! Thanks for watching and God bless! 👍
Damn... one day I'm going to ask you for something... you are a true master of your craft... very impressed... and I'm old school hunter and butcher...
Thanks so much for the kind words, I appreciate it! 👋
Hey, Dave! I appreciate the mention. Got some antlers from this hunting season that I need to get to work on. Some great projects. I’ve seated compasses like that into the top of walking sticks. You lost have an abacus going with those beads, lol. The concho looks pretty cool. Everything turned out great. Have a great weekend!
Thanks Todd, I had 3 hours of footage to edit on that one but it was a fun one to make! Heading out to the flea market today, have a great weekend as well! 👍👋
Thanks for sharing. What kind of buffing compound do you use on antler. Looks pretty fine.
I use white L’Hommedieu for antler, brass, aluminum, etc., it’s around 1200 grit but don’t think they make it any longer. I sometimes follow up with pink no scratch to take out any cloudiness, it’s around 2000. Thanks for watching! 👍👋
I really enjoyed your video. Great ideas. I wish I had more time to watch more of your videos. Thanks for sharing. Have a blessed day.
So glad you enjoyed the video and found some good ideas! Thanks for watching! 👍
Magnifiche idee. Livio Rossi (Italia)
New subscriber here. I like them all, but I’ll pick ferro rod or pendants for favorite. It was hard to choose to be honest.
Thanks for subscribing! Happy to hear you enjoyed the projects, they were fun to make! Have a nice day! 👍👋
Hello Dave
Thanks for the information today. A great assortment of what can be made from antler horn and tips , my favourites would have to be the knife and Ferro rod. I’ve just purchased antler dog chews on internet, what’s your opinion on this
Thanks again
John from Australia
Glad you enjoyed the video, John! The knife and ferro rod were fun to make. I think dog chews are a great option, I have bought bones that way. Thanks for watching! 👍
Another Great Show! Hard to pick a favorite/liked them all. Noticed a boo boo on ur trigger finger...carefull😇
Thanks! Yeah, I actually got that one in the kitchen! Take care 👍
Try carving the tips in like tooth shaps
Interesting idea, appreciate you watching! 👋
All of the items are very crafty & sellable!!! Just for those that may not know, horn is a reflection of hair growth on the animal, antler is connected to bone growth on the skull of the animal, so working in antler is working on bone!!!
Glad you liked the items and thanks for the info! 👍
Awesome vid , Dave !! try using those tips - glued into 9mm casing , putting eye bolt thru primer hole -hang;um on key chains , n wat bout dat smell ? YEE YEE - CURRENTLY 18 outside @HOME 2am sunday -in Heath Springs SC 29058 , waitn on da storm !! Gr8 content you put out , jist say;n !! L8r
Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the ideas! Brr, stay safe in the storm! 🥶👍👋
Are you using Deer and Elk antler or Sambar Stag?
It’s actually whitetail deer, I have used elk and sandbar in the past. Thanks! 👍
You probably already have made a wind chime out of antler scraps!!!
Lots of bamboo, shells, beads, and a few with pipe that sound like church bells, never antler, have to try that out, thanks Bob! 👍👋
I never use power tools of any kind when working horn or antler, it stinks up my shop for far too long after the fact!!!
I agree, the smell can definitely linger! Thanks for watching! 👍
