taking notes for those shortcuts haha
They'll save ya some time and headache 😅
Hope your vacation was great, I see you're back and already crushing Austria!
Another amazing video I enjoy watching you do some logging cause I'm not really good it and what is your top 5 long logs truck
I didn't enjoy logging at first either for the same reason. I decided to make it a challenge to get better at it and now I enjoy it a lot.
Top 5 long log trucks? My choices would be different than the average person cause I don't like to play with the best trucks. Each situation calls for a different class IMO.
If it's lighter terrain I like to use:
- Zikz 5368 with offroad tires
- White Western Star
- Cat 681 (free anniversary DLC)
- Bandit with offroad tires
If it's harder terrain:
- Pacific P12
- Pacific P16
- Dan
Extreme terrain:
- Kenworth
- Mastadon
- PLAD
I usually don't use the last category but sometimes the situation requires it. 👍
Thanks a lot@@zorshix
@MorteusNekton also I forgot to add the Paystar 5600TS in the middle category 🤷
GREAT episode! The shortcut with the pair of trucks and long logs is amazing! That icy waterfall route is awful in every way! Lol! I'm a huge fan of the P12 as well. Even the vanilla truck is OK for me since I don't mind taking forever to plod through contracts.
My favorite is the P12 Orca II, if yer into mods! Super versatile rig that can go from dead stock, to completely OP and anywhere in between! Folks should check it out if they're alright with using mods!
Overall killer content here! This region can be really gnarly, and get frustrating pretty quick. But again... Having an incredibly well thought out game plan, and efficient route mapping is clutch! It makes the game enjoyable, when otherwise I think it gets almost overwhelming! Thanks for takin us along, and can't wait for the next one!
The Orca is awesome, there's no doubt about that. I've used it a lot in Amur.
Yukon can kick anybody's butt without knowing the easier routes. It's just plain daunting. But I wouldn't make you go through that right? Lol
The next one almost kicked my butt during recording but I don't want to spoil it so I'll leave it at that. 😅
Glad you enjoyed it dude ✌️
I can honestly say, I did not have a lot of fun on yukon. Still haven't done 100% left it at 89 or 90% haha.
My first time I absolutely did not enjoy Yukon at all. The more times I play it the more I have really started to love it.
6:49 putting it in low gear gives you more engine braking and slows down your descent even without brakes
This is true, low gear helps a ton on descent. Good tip 👍
I am curious how my approach will be for when i eventually attack this, i manually load mine into a sideboard to avoid the bqck n fourthing, dump the logs into the ground then load them into a waiting truck/trailer , with practice it isnt honestly that bad, and saves on fuel.
Never thought bout using the special gearbox for power, smart thinking
Amendum - unpacked logs weigh way oess so easier to traverse the heavy mud bogs
I've done my fair share of the sideboard approach too. It does work well, especially if you can use a truck that has the ability to use the logging crane while having a low saddle (Paystar 5600TS).
The logs do have less weight unpacked, but they still have weight. If you're hauling 3 loads (9 logs) it actually gets pretty heavy. Albeit you're only making one trip instead of three so definitely better on fuel.
@@zorshix yea.. especially the metal beams, I was carrying 2 in my bed and one on my hood held down by my crane and I broke through the ice and rolled it, thank God I had a truck behind it with another beam on it.
For pulling the cat trailer, I personally think the hardest part is that Initial puddle, but hugging the building rather than the hill on the other side actually worked surprisingly well.
Good content as always, glad to see you in my recommendations again
@hamakaze1364 glad you watched and reached out in the comments. Thanks for being a part of the journey 🙂
I definitely prefer the region soundtracks for these videos, after so many hours listening to them in game it's a bit jarring to see the game and hear stock music. Just my 2 cents. I'm enjoying this series though. It's making me want to go play Yukon again. That is a sentence I never thought I would say. Er, type.
Well now you can play it again and use the experience you have to enjoy it more. I know that's how it was for me anyway.
I remember playing through this map, collecting all the building materials onto trailers and storing them at the garage for "easy" access. My roads where uttered fuckered lmao. I didn't know about the restart thing to reset the map yet either, so a massive 10-12 hour sesh really churned them up. I think this is also where I finally gave up on the P12. I remember using the Azov(everyones fav) and the I think one of the heavy duty trucks for long logs and had a crane + medium log attachment on something else with a trailer. My god the number of spills.
What would you think about having the crane truck behind so it's easier to reach forward to pick up logs from the lead truck? Thas my usual set up as I can get a bit rowdy with my routes sometimes.
I know exactly what you mean on those long game sessions. My roads have gotten that way too.
I think that's a good strategy to bring the crane truck along behind you.
Hey Zor! Yesterday was my b day and I am excited to watch this video. I am in the Yukon on Snowrunner finally
Happy Birthday Carrot
Life before and after knowing the shortcut through the trees is quite different 😂
It really is, I've gone up that waterfall so many times and it's a struggle every single one of them
