    These look great,especially the waffle stamper. I've got this kit on pre-order so these will be a great addition. 👍

    These upgrade look very interesting .. I will be following the developments.. one thing to know is , as the kit comes in the box it is more a MIAG built stug and would not have that waffle type zimmerit .. it was more a small square pattern ... Now if you were to do the Alkett style fender supports that would be very interesting.. The C hooks and their clamps would be a great addition as well ..

      Thank you for your interest in these parts. Keep following us as we are sure to have other bits in development.

    Saukopf mantlet perhaps? It would give the builder options to do an upgraded early or even a mid with a little work.

      Thank you for your suggestion. The rounded mantlet does look good. We will take your idea into consideration.

      @@HearnsHobbiesMelbourne Yes, that would be a great idea and this will come in handy especially if you have in mind using the late muzzle brake you have already produced. Congratulations on the already existing parts👏👏👏👏👏

    Nice any chance you will do shurzen??

    • @HearnsHobbiesMelbourne
      @HearnsHobbiesMelbourne  2 года назад

      Not at this stage. Shurzen is best achieved with sheet such as photoetched metal or plastic plate which we do not have.

    We need the mp40s for the back wall as totally bare maybe couple straps with them I've managed to get a couple Dragon 1.1.16 ones but still something that should have been in the kit and maybe an mG 42 there's only 1 mg34 wish there was 2 so some of them aswell! The Waffle zim was alkett so you'll need to do alkett tow cable clamps and the flat fender supports if you want the Waffle zim but the Normal MiaG zim pattern you can keep the kit as is so depending on how far you want to go for accuracy!

    It would have been nice to at least mention the group that gave you all this information. You know, at least a thank you for our hours of research into this.
    It's a little strange though to be producing some details for late StuG when the vehicle itself is early. For zimmerit we would need an entirely new lower rear hull, engine deck, upper rear armour, cupola shot deflector, engine deck rails, solid 80mm bow, steel return rollers, possibly cast mantlet, C-hooks and clamps, side skirt plates/rails/mounts etc. etc.
    I think it would be best to just focus on details for the Early March/April 1943 version. Like the fixed hull front and rear armour, smoke launchers, cupola, and other things we discussed in the group.
    People need to remember that the "Ausf.G" isn't just really one version like the Ausf.A, B etc. were. The Ausf.G went through more changes than all previous versions combined and made up like 85% of all StuGs made.

      Hi, thanks for your feedback! Let me address your concerns.
      Firstly, these parts have been in development since announcement of the kit, which as Industry we get before the general public. Research for the parts comes from dozens of public sources, over a long time-frame. As this is a commercial endeavor and not a thesis, we don't have to quote every single one we have utilsed.
      In public forums, when we interact with enthusiasts, we always thank them for their contributions. The relationship between builder and product supplier is symbiotic and neither can exist without the other, so we think co-design and collaboration overall is a great thing for the industry. We're as grateful of this as I'm sure customers are in this 'golden era' of model-making, with so many kits spanning hundreds of genres at quality levels never seen before.
      It's a great time to be a model-maker!
      Many of those parts that you mention are in various stages of development with us. While we disagree about your stance on the Zimmerit, our aim with these parts is to provide a platform for peoples' imagination. Its impossible for us to make every single part people may want, so we encourage customers to modify our parts as they see fit. As you know Scratchbuilding is an indispensable skill at this level of detail, and if people aren't prepared to do it then I think you would agree they should not be modifying kits in the first place.
      We're super excited about the upcoming releases of the Stug III and are committed to supporting builders in any way that we can. Thanks again for taking the time to comment and we look forward to seeing what you do with the Das Werk kit when it's released!

    Might be expensive but maybe a stuh 42/ late war add on. Threaded barrel, mantlet, deflector on the commanders cupola, and so on. Even a 75mm threaded barrel.

    • @HearnsHobbiesMelbourne

      Thank you for your suggestions. I quite like the stumpy barrel look. Stay tuned to see what we create.

    I purchased an HL Stug 3 on a whim from a bargain second hand site, the former owner completely bastardized it, headlights made of aluminium pipe, missing front armour, cupola and other details, he managed to put aromatic oil instead of normal smoke fluid and when I attempted to turn it over to open it it started leaking all over
    And still I'm stubborn and want to bring it back from from the rc tank hell it is now, so I think your line of products might help me in this daunting quest

    DW Missed the drivers pistol plug - if you leave the smoke launchers off the kit it`s absence is quite noticeable - especially in 1/16 scale !

    • @stirlinglowery2417
      @stirlinglowery2417 3 года назад

      @@HearnsHobbiesMelbourne Not the initial III G`s - they had a vision port for the driver - the DW ( Takom ) StuG should have the plug.
