Nice to see this Gil. I'm using the Ender 5 plus but really don't like it. Need to build a temperature controlled enclosure for it. Perhaps I'll pull the trigger on this one. Thanks for sharing.
It is good they provide PEI sheet with it, great adhesion of most materials. The printer was not on leveled surface and it was wobbling on your floor tiles sonthat affected the print quality a bit. Also, it looks that Benchy was not placed on top of the workbench in Cura (some of the layers were below the print surface). Overall nice printer with a few advanced features (direct drive, auto leveling, PEI sheet).
Thanks for the video. A 3D printer is definitely on my 'soon to be purchased' list for the ham shack. I agree, I can think of all kinds of handy projects to complete with a 3D printer.
Not sure why but your videos dropped of my feed a couple of months ago. Seeing that a lot with Ham radio youtubers lately. I may tempted to get one of these :)
@@RadioPrepper my Imac 10.15.7 OS will not connect to printers when printer driver is not updated to 64 bit computer use. This caused older printer without updated driver to become unusable. My alert to driver issues is now top of mind! This is the reason for my initial caution queation.
@@RadioPrepper Hi Gil,! No it was the very first time I visited your Homepage, I was interested in NVIS. .Maybe it is some geographic thing because I am based in Laos.

I think you only need the enclosure for ABS, but not sure for other materials. I did hear drafts can mess up a print though..

Probably, I missed that..

32bit mother board is part of mfg info - is that a problem with Mac64 bit computer?
Apparently not. They are two separate devices. A printer does not need 64 bits..

I see. I did not use a USB cable, I saved the file on the SD card..
Is anybody using Gil's website?
I tied to access but got this here:"Sorry Guest, you are banned from using this forum!
This ban is not set to expire."
Weird.. Did you post before?
