@@liyanarusydi242 I had to look up what Chowder is, but yes, that's a screen-space texture. The whole illusion of it is that the foreground shape, that's rendered in perspective (due to world-space transformation), is masking (or unmasking) a texture that sits in its own screen layer (mathematically speaking, screen space is a normalized 2D polygon that perfectly fits the screen and is parallel to it, measuring the bottom left corner as 0,0 and top right as 1,1). It's quite a neat effect if done properly, and also very cheap for the GPU. It's a natural extension for what GPU normally does when it calculates the world-space textures, however in this case it substitutes the regular UV coordinates (that normally come with the model made by an artist) with the screen-space ones, and thus it looks as if someone has punched a whole through the reality. Because we can't see this effect in the real world, it grabs our attention and makes things look like "magic". Normally the UV coordinates get warped and/or distorted based on the viewing angle, field of view, etc. This is why we need a unit called a texel, to describe the smallest units of a texture during this process. Tip: Don't collect all the experience straight away. If you leave some behind then it won't despawn because you're not in that dimension. You can enchant a lot more things if you get to level 30, enchant then collect more xp then enchant and repeat. Me and my friend were on level 0 to level 60 so that's 120 levels from saving it because, like pixlrifts said, 0-30 level require the same xp to get to 30-39. So it's better to preserve it or bring an enchantment set up and books
Thanks Pixl! I just defeated the Dragon with my little brother and we had a blast! Turns out we HEAVILY overestimated her. You had some really helpful tips.

My first time in the End I got all my best gear ready to fight the Dragon. As soon as i went through the End Portal an Endermite knocked me off the spawn platform into the Void. So.... I am pretty much the best Minecraft player ever right?
Your guide is great fun and really helpful. After watching this, I ventured on my first dragon fight two days ago. However, things didn't go that smoothly. Looking at your video again, it is astounding how often the dragon ignores you. I was under constant attack the moment I emerged on the island. For example, it was absolutely impossible to climb up to the two caged crystals because the dragon's constant attacks would throw me off my cobblestone pillars halfway up. And I can "pillar up" fast... I eventually ran out of cobblestone blocks in spite of having taken 4 stacks. So essentially, I left the two caged crystals and only eliminated the accessible ones with arrows. Then I went to the central fountain and killed the dragon with my sword. It frequently took off to the remaining 2 crystals but didn't regenerate enough to compensate for the damage at the fountain. When trying to climb up to the caged crystals I died 4 or 5 times, thankfully always getting my equipment back and having a few spares in my enderchest. When I started ignoring the caged crystals, I beat the dragon without any more loss of life. I play on Bedrock, which might explain the difference (as with the wither fight). Cheers, a very helpful and also entertaining series!
You can kill the dragon with 16 snowballs, some dirt and 4 beds. 1st throw the healer towers. 2nd Put a bed to the ground, and when the dragon is close, just sleep, and it will explode.
Anyone still watching. Just shoot the caged ones from the ground. If you are very close to the tower you can hit the crystal through the bars. Pillaring up will get you killed when your armor isn't super tanky and it's not necessary. Also beds will explode if you try to sleep in the End and it's a great way to deal damage to the dragon. If you right click the bed from behind a single block it will block most of the damage for the character
Another way to get the caged crystals is to ender pearl into the side of the cage and you'll fall onto the pillar. You can easily take out the crystal (make sure there's a block between you and it first). That's a great vantage point to take the other crystals out. Then ender pearl back down
Honestly u just have to have a good bow sword armor slow falling potions and some golden apples U know that might be a bit more complicated than I thought
I don't know about hitting the Dragon from the back will deal the damage to it. I just straight up using my Infinity, Power IV, and Unbreaking Bow to defeat him
Actually, you can kill the dragon only with snowballs. It takes ages but works, because the dragon is one of two mobs in Minecraft that can be hurt by snowballs. They deal like a quarter heart of damage, but it does work.
I know you're most likely not reading these comments anymore, but you did a great job with this. I've been playing along with your series and fought the dragon last night before watching this video. Your run went much more smoothly than mine! Thank you for this series - it's great and you seem like a genuinely kind person.
Trivia: You can only have one egg per vanilla MC world. The colour of the words is to show how rare the item is (white=common to purple=legendary). Only 20 outer end portals can spawn. Only the first dragon fight will drop all that xp. Other times it's much less
Thank you so much for this!!! I've been playing since 2013 and have always been too scared to fight the ender dragon until this day and thanks to this SUPER HELPFUL video, I defeated the Ender Dragon FIRST TRY without any deaths! Thank you so so so so much!
Well... that didn't go great. Destroyed all the crystals and killed 50% of her health. But then I got killed 10 times, lost 2 full sets of diamond armor and some other fully enchanted stuff.... For some reason I was not really able to hit the dragon when he was on the bedrock pillar, I just mostly got thrown in the air or ambushed by 5 endermen at a time. You made it look so easy xD
You can use a bed as a weapon since if you try to use it in the nether or the end it explodes. Also thank you the tips, I haven't killed the ender dragon yet but I think I'm getting close. Thanks!
Thanks for the video! I killed the dragon years ago whilst cheating and now I'm on a play through with my kids and without cheats. With this help we will manage to kill the dragon. Otherwise we would have died quite fast I guess^^
I'm watching this from 2020, I can't even believe that You just killed the ender dragon without dying even once!! You are one of the best Pros I have ever seen!! Good luck with the future work of yours!!!!
In the Bedrock Edition especially, there are no guarantees. It’s rare to find a cross spawned thing on Java, but I had to search three strongholds to find a portal room that hadn’t been replaced by a ravine or some other structure... and I only found one mending book.
I got launched up about a hundred blocks by the dragon. I didn't have slow falling or feather falling. I panicked but somehow I managed to save myself by placing a bucket of water below my feet just before I landed. Thanks for the tip!
After encountering a bug that meant I couldn't hit the dragon with my sword, almost half an hour of fighting, and one death, I have beaten the game for the first time, after 5+ years of playing this game. This video gave me the courage to finally do it. Thanks Pix.
I did this on my stronghold too just because stone buttons have a pretty short pulse and it’s annoying to go back and forth a bunch of times through those doors
The recipe book is not only useful, it makes crafting stuff in bulk so much faster. Being able to make a stack of pistons with a single click instead of moving the ingredients one at a time is so helpful
Dragon fights can go bad pretty quickly. The Endermen can be a real problem, and all it takes is for the dragon to swoop at you from the right angle when you're climbing a tower... you can get thrown into the void, or super high up where you'll die without feather falling or a quick water bucket. It looks like I over-prepared for this fight, but you can never be too careful.
Thanks for the tips, I'd never killed the Ender Dragon before and with your guidance I killed her first time, no deaths. Took ages but this padawan was well prepared "Master". ;)

God, I forgot how beautiful the Ender Dragon is. She's so pretty and dark, I need to go back and play through it again!
so basically you say "ender dragon is my waifu"
What I brought to the dragon fight (other than armour, tools and food):

Mr.Pixlriffs, I ❤ your survival guide channel, and it has really helped me with my survival skills.
And I really like to see more form u.
I have never in my several years of playing survival Minecraft ever defeated the ender dragon, I still haven't, but thanks for the help with preparation! Once I get my eyes of ender I'm going to do my first ever attempt at defeating it!
Well it now 7 months, did you defeat the dragon?
Trolling NPC he probably gave up
@@sirbenjaminthebold3943 nah I believe this guy
yeah how did it go?
@@gagaringagarinovic2600 Oh, yeah I defeated the dragon a while ago. Thanks for the support! Lol
Flawless boss fight thanks for the tips
So happy to see a new video!
I love these. They are very informative and calm. You make it feel so easy to do anything and it's really just cool.
Mr. Pixlriffs, you are amazing, the first time that i kill the dragon, it took me at least 2 hours, yes, i'm a terrible minecrafter XD
:3 hope you can make a survival guide for bedrock, we don't have shields, neither the use of the other hand, and redstone makes nonsense
@@Neftalisrr88 redstone makes nonsense?i just build an automatic sugarcane farm, auto melon farm and gold farm using redstone and all of them help me defeat the dragon without death.without them,i probally still have food resources problem.and i plays bedrock edition

I LIKE THAT.
2nd Put a bed to the ground, and when the dragon is close, just sleep, and it will explode.
you need a pick to get rid of iron bars at the healer towers
@@eggman1211 Yes, of course. This is why you need dirt/ladder/water.
Tom Baker you can actually use an arrow and shoot it throw the crack underneath. You don’t have to pillar if you are good with a bow
I love your video ! I play minecraft since 2014 but I still watch this series!
I know I'm late but at the 8:46 Pixlriffs was like: "I'm about to end this Dragon's whole career"
Hope you also cover banners and add it to your shield. Awesome video!
Another way to get the caged crystals is to ender pearl into the side of the cage and you'll fall onto the pillar. You can easily take out the crystal (make sure there's a block between you and it first). That's a great vantage point to take the other crystals out. Then ender pearl back down
Honestly u just have to have a good bow sword armor slow falling potions and some golden apples
U know that might be a bit more complicated than I thought
I went in with fully enchanted diamond armor and an op sword and bow and died within seconds due to being knocked into the void
And some Ender pearls in case the dragon launches you really high up, so you can just throw one at the island and teleport there with minimal damagw
9:14 "Now the most important thing right now is to look at the ground" *5 seconds later*
**DOESN'T LOOK AT GROUND.**
For the caged ender crystals you can actually shoot through the gap to get them with your bow and arrow it works.
Yeah
Very instructive! I just activated my end portal and was wondering what would happen next! Thank you for the tutorial!
I know you're most likely not reading these comments anymore, but you did a great job with this. I've been playing along with your series and fought the dragon last night before watching this video. Your run went much more smoothly than mine! Thank you for this series - it's great and you seem like a genuinely kind person.
If the dragon flings you into the air have ender pearls in your hand to teleport to the ground to avoid taking fall damage
Or use slow falling potions
1:45 was a good part. I like his editing keeps me watching honestly.
pixlriffs: bows and enchanctments
pewdiepie: GET IN THE BOAT
Trivia: You can only have one egg per vanilla MC world. The colour of the words is to show how rare the item is (white=common to purple=legendary). Only 20 outer end portals can spawn. Only the first dragon fight will drop all that xp. Other times it's much less
Everyone: "AHHHH!! WOOAA!"
Pixlriffs: "Oh there we go! Haha."
Ewout Luit how? it was the easiest fight i have ever done

I had a world a long time ago, and when i finally found the stronghold, there wasnt a portal room in it :(
Lol u didnt look good enough u probably went in circles "every one has a end portal" :)
@@tracynewman7591 an end portal not a end portal :)
Tracy Newman, actually in one bedrock edition seed the closest stronghold has a mob spawner where the portal room should be.
Ya the glitch happened to me once, he is not lieing
In the Bedrock Edition especially, there are no guarantees. It’s rare to find a cross spawned thing on Java, but I had to search three strongholds to find a portal room that hadn’t been replaced by a ravine or some other structure... and I only found one mending book.
I got launched up about a hundred blocks by the dragon. I didn't have slow falling or feather falling. I panicked but somehow I managed to save myself by placing a bucket of water below my feet just before I landed. Thanks for the tip!
MLG
Awesome I spawned about 50 blocks out from the ender island and the dragon threw me off into the void and I lost everything

Oh, that's unfortunate. You'll probably have to build a tunnel from your spawn-point to the island so you can run, run, run! :-)
@@balticbirder but why? he fell into the void

You could use an enderpearl to go to the island...

Ive played minecraft for years but never beated a boss ( in survival haha ) maybe ill try to beat the ender dragon.....
After encountering a bug that meant I couldn't hit the dragon with my sword, almost half an hour of fighting, and one death, I have beaten the game for the first time, after 5+ years of playing this game. This video gave me the courage to finally do it. Thanks Pix.

button next to iron door. breaks iron door with pickaxe. Does same thing with a a door which has nothing behind it
I did this on my stronghold too just because stone buttons have a pretty short pulse and it’s annoying to go back and forth a bunch of times through those doors
Not only that but breaking the doors is a good way to know where you’ve already been.
First time dragon killer here, thanks for the tips! That poem is beautiful!
Best RUclipsr simple
Seeing that there is an in-game recipe book now, definitely makes me want to play again.
Thank you for the series, and thank you for the inspiration
The recipe book is not only useful, it makes crafting stuff in bulk so much faster. Being able to make a stack of pistons with a single click instead of moving the ingredients one at a time is so helpful
@@Pixlriffs I had not thought of that yet. 😀
Wish I'd seen this before I fought the dragon for the first time on my own. From memory I died 9 times. Lol.
I havent played this game since its release in 2011, god this game looks sooo different 8 yrs later XD, imma buy it cuz ive always wanted to beat it
