I LOVE how you incorporated the different schools/colleges/universities to make it seem like one big campus. Genius!! Totally doing that on my current build!
Awesome video with amazing tips to help me master demand in my own projects! Thanks so much for all the amazing content you give us and I cannot wait for the next video!
I am still watchign the video but why the heck are your squares black and you dont have the white screen when placing and zoning? I do not see the Flavour mod icon at the top
lol. This was not at all what I needed. I am doing all the things you suggest but I still can't get demand bars to stay low or even at the half way point for more than about 30 seconds. Low density residential is a joke. I can put in a complete subdivision while paused. Start it back up at speed one, watch the demand decrease and then rebound to the max or near max in those few seconds. I've come to the conclusion the demand bars are meaningless, or at least should be ignored in favor of achieving the layout you want. I don't mind that education and some other things take time. In fact I'd like to see even more things take time. IMO I am getting near instant results. The big exception is traffic. The time scaling is so incredibly unnatural. It's no wonder "cities" of 3000 have traffic jams. I'd like to see speed one reduced by a factor of eight while leaving the vehicles and people moving at RL speeds. OR I reading the demand bars completely wrong.
I never said the point was to reduce your demand bars, in fact more than once across my videos I’ve said the balancing of demand is not great and it seems industrial and low density residential seem endless. The point of this video is to understand how to spread demand out beyond just low density residential and industrial which is especially helpful when building a downtown.
I am having this problem but I have ample education and have had ample education since the beginning. I have the highest levels of education at negative tax rates. I can replace my low density a lot of the time with medium due to high rent but I dont know if i have a single high residential on my 100k city.
Great points Slay and hopefully it helps everyone out as I do know I've seen people mention it multiple times.
THANK YOU NATALIE!

Would be so sick if there was a parking lot variant with a similar landfill edit, for custom shapes.

THANK YOU MOOSE! BIG love dude. Finals, when?
Really liked the idea you had for the college.
Thank you! Sneak the bank and city hall in there and you have a campus!
