Even then it was the tenth most populous state in the country. Today we have 22 million people. (2020) census and the 3rd most behind Calif and TX. The drugging of America really began to hit hard in the 70’a-80’s and border and coastal states in the south began to see a boom in illegal immigration. These problems and people aren’t going away unless a strong government makes the tough decisions to follow the laws and constitution of the land.
