what an interesting language german is! i am from uruguay and my first laguage is spanish, anyway i have investigated german and english and how them are related to each other. it is amazing to find out that english comes from a mix among germanic and other european cultures.
That is why English spelling does not make any sense at all, it is a mix of different languages and it has kept some of the original rules for spelling for each word. English relates to German mostly because of Anglo-Saxons from Germany conquered England after the Romans left during the 5th century and after that Vikings invaded all the time and Scandinavian languages are closely related to German (the Anglo-Saxons worshipped Nordic Gods so they were basically also Vikings). And then the Vikings who had settled down in France (William the conqueror) invaded and brought some french into English. Studies has shown that Scandinavian languages such as Swedish and Norwegian are the easiest to learn for English speakers due to similarities in both the language and grammar. I find it interesting how a country that was basically invaded all the time for centuries, became perhaps the most powerful empire in history. Perhaps all the Viking raids and invasions had hardened them up.
@@knasttrast7168trast correct me if I'm wrong but old german is similar to an Indian language, Sanskrit. Im guessing that the Anglo influence came relatively recently. I just have an A2 in Deutsch. Love your language/metal and culture. Just not a fan of the food. Danke

it's strange that there are almost no real German comments on these video's, if some then they are from some fans trying to write German, sad that there are no comments open on the official videos, i am from Germany and i love Rammstein, but it seems like the band is more popular outside from Germany as here in Germany they don't promote this talent

vivenkeful Actually, in the US, you’ll be surprised to how many people listen to music like folk metal from other countries. But we don’t go on social media and post it everywhere though so that’s a huge reason as to why it never gets popular to the mainstream media. But, that’s honestly a good thing in a way... the typical American has a tendency to take great things and ruin it... A lot of people don’t like listening to non-English music and it kinda sucks. I just recently got into French and Irish rap, but Irish rap is in English so my friends don’t kind that:/ but I try to get them into Keny Arkana who is the best rapper in France who is amazing and no one wants to even give it a try because they can’t understand it... If we hold ourselves back from learning what we can’t understand, how are we going to progress?
