- In this week’s episode of Open Gym, Toronto welcomes former Raptor DeMar DeRozan back to the city for the first time since being traded to the San Antonio Spurs. Hard fought wins and the Raps City Social punctuate Jeremy Lin opening up about his career and signing with the team.

MrBlend you can’t tell me basketball isn’t much bigger now in Canada than it was when Vince or Bosh were here. Demar made us a consistent playoff team which has brought us way more attention and young fans.
Demar also loved us back the way no other star has. He showed the rest of the NBA that Toronto is a desirable destination for players.
MrBlend DeRozan took basketball in Canada to new heights in popularity by helping the team set records in wins and making the Raptors one of the top team in the NBA. Give him his due respect

I by no means am a cinematographer but there’s a different/new way they’re capturing these scenes and angles. Specifically starting around the Celtics entrance is where I really noticed it and it’s beautiful. Excellent work! And good work on DD.

To be bounced from team to team and for the way he stepped up when Fred Vanvleet was injured, anybody that says Jeremey Lin doesn't deserve a championship is a hater.
Unfortunately, Lin didn't play well enough to earn a spot in the playoffs, but as the 3rd PG, Lin has done his job. Hoping he has a great career in China.

Wow ... I hadn’t seen this episode of Open Gym and couldn’t believe that Kawhi won it at the buzzer against Portland with almost the very same shot from the corner that he did against Philly! It even bounced around a few times before falling. Great episode. Appreciated the emphasis on Jeremy Lin and his adaptation to a new team. He’s a bright, thoughtful and articulate guy.

GOD i wish Derozan could come back and experience what winning as a raptor felt like. Few people get everything they want in life and Demar is like the rest of us, you can see what you want right there, but it's just out of reach. He's better than everybody not named Kawhi Leonard, but nobody else would be worth it in a trade ;(.
Obviously Kawhi doesn't get life on easy mode, his father was murdered when he was 16 and that is absolutely horrific, nobody should experience that kind of loss. I love him to death but i wish Derozan was a part of our success.

IMHO, its a long shot but I hope & pray that the front office will do everything to keep Kawhi Leonard.
They have treated him extremely well limiting his games etc. I don’t know but to me, he looks genuinely happy, I also think a lot will depend on how far the Raps go in the playoffs. The farther they go, the better chances Kawhi sticks around after this year. The time is definitely now!!

Even if the Raptors get to the finals or even win it all, it'll be due to the winning culture Demar and Kyle cultivated for such a young franchise. The really helped revitalize basketball in Toronto and helped us avoid any rebuild or tanking season. If Kawhi leaves, we'll have an enjoyable, playoff caliber team to enjoy.
