I don't understand why people are so critical of this guy's videos. He does a great a great job restoring speakers full stop. I would like to see some of these guys do what he does. But my bet is they are just armchair experts...
when he's reconing the woofer the voice coil is left out in the open for dirt and debris to get in there. The recone "kit" isn't jbl but he does a passable job fixing it, but I doubt it'll sound or have even close to the same power handling. Repair parts outside the US are hard to get, that speaker was probably made in the late 90s
they not jbl as the ports are at bottom of the speaker jbl has them on top of the speaker plus these don't have handles on the sides so means there not skytec qtx or anything like that that's cheap plus also JBL has handles on there speakers
