@@Reggiebphoto how do you select your scene to place the figures and the lighting? You’re much more creative than I am. As a kid I had Polly Pockets and I just found some of them and I wanted to take pics of them for nostalgia.
@@Reggiebphoto I’m shooting my first wedding in june, So definitely ring shots! and i’ll be bringing it on hikes, i think. I love shooting textures for double exposures and my girlfriend would like to be able to shoot insects from closer up. I couldn’t justify buying a true macro lens. So this seems like a nice way to open up new possibilities without breaking the bank. Thanks again for the effort you put into making these video’s. I picked up a lot of very useful information from your channel. 🙏🏻
@@Reggiebphoto The lighting and positioning was helpful for me. My wife wants me to take some pictures of our rings and I know I would have approached it differently. I do have an inexpensive macro lens and will be using that. Thanks again!
@@Reggiebphoto I needed it for some close up product shots for a fashion shoot. The client has these pants with a bunch of custom hardware and small buttons that need to be showcased. I’m definitely taking notes from this video!
10.1 - Try to clean as much of the dust before you take the shot using a lens cloth and a blower. The less dust you need to clone out in PS, the better!
Great video! I use and carry the Viltrox brand tube and can say it works great. Feels cheap, not as rugged as Fuji brand tube...but It's handled two wedding seasons so far. P.S. looking fly in those glasses!
I've done quite a lot of macro photography in my career, and cleaning my object with alcohol and a piece of cotton, with finishing touch with a lens blower, saved me a LOT of working time in photoshop. Just saying...
Should I make a tutorial on how I photograph Lego minifigures?
Definitely
Absolutely! You’re amazing.

Great question!

cell phone also works as an ad hoc reflective surface and has the advantage of being able to provide additional light or surface color as well.
yup, this definitely works as well
Solid tips!
Thanks Gajan! You ever try the tubes?
@@Reggiebphoto Yep, I sold my 80 macro and went full Tube lol. No regrets, it's not needed unless that's all you do.
Yup, the only way bro.
Wait, those are some really great tips! Love the camera harness 😉

WhAt did you like about this video?
Thank you for this. Soooo much.
I agree a macro isn't needed. But that xf80mm is sooooo good and definitely worth owning.
If you can stomach the size then definitely, for me it’s not something I want to bring for just 1-2 shots
Awesome. Keep it up.
What do you want to learn next?
Great tutorial!
Thanks Ted! How’s it going?!

thank you :)
I suggest trying those cheap Chinese macro lenses . They are worth buying.
Why are they worth more than using an extension tube?
@@Reggiebphoto they are cheap from 100$ and are fairly sharp , provides true macro magnification. (7 artisensts)
Will Mcex 16 work with viltrox 56 , 23 mm ?
yes, i believe it does

Came for ring photography, but clicked like right away after seeing the legos shots 😆
Sweet!
can you stack extention tubes?
Yup
@@Reggiebphoto I've been looking for videos about it but can't find any. Just purchased two of these ext tubes and will give it a go. Thanks :)

This was cool, but can you teach me to take pictures of those lego people? haha
