Im very surprised about this review, There is a perk called Accumulation(helmet) which gives you shadow energy on critical hits. Then you have perks like shadow affinity and recharge that can also give you shadow energy. So it should not be difficult to get shadow energy for heralds sets, Also increasing your critical damage is easy use perks like catalyst, precision and vaporisation. Imo, this set is just as powerful as other op sets. ( btw being a herald main in sf3 a lot of my herald perks are maxed as compared to other factions).
To collect Shadow Energy, I would suggest using Recharge perk with weapon. Shadow affinity is optional but you may use it too. Btw, after gaining 1/3 shadow energy, if you can successfully hit your opponent few times, you will get full shadow bar.

Yes totally. The pool only has only 3 legendary sets which includes Raven of the looming night, Divine Judge and shadow diver set the one which has a katana but does not have a set bonus.
Finally after all the grind I unlocked all the perks and special moves. I started from 21st September 2022 and the grind ended on 14th January 2023. So you can say that it took me almost 4 months.
The Night Marathon has a part where you have to get points from defeating the Fight Pass boss. Also you have to actually win the fight to get points. Also see if the marathon has reached the limit of points

Corner enemy when your shadow bar is 2/3 2.then spit on your enemy which will make him fall in the corner 3.then just after 0.5 sec after the enemy falls down spam rolling waves and you can deliver 6 critical hits at one time(that's 2 rolling waves). 4.then if you have accumulation maxed out or atleast 20 lvl above and with recharge perk.....as soon as your critical hits gets over your shadow bar again replenish to 2/3 or more. Then you can again do the same thing. *Interference is a must perk on this set. As it helps us to spam rolling waves.
Not to be rude or something but against AI it's not that hard to survive using any set because AI doesn't use a set as good as a player can including Divine Judge or Torturous Nightmare.
9:43 No, it's good that enemy falls you technically get a block breaker but the thing bad about it is this that it only give further falling critical hit But if the fell closer like most of critical hits it would have been better but i guess that would be overpowered But yeah you can it easily hit opponent if you roll after using ranged weapon
Well you get a Block breaker on ranged weapons anyway and I don't think it would be OP since you don't get the bonus for too long I think the duration is balanced

Well actually I liked this set a bit because of the design which is based on the shogun ( by term shogun I mean the king japanese kings were called shogun ) it's ability is all about how strong your perks are so ya I agree it's not close to the sets like the nightmare judge or ironclad

TIPS:
SHADOW AFFINITY WITH ACCUMULATION FOR HELMET
RECHARGE WITH THE WEAPON AND THEN YOU ARE PRETTY MUCH UNTOUCHABLE WITH THIS SET

The best perks for this set for shadow energy is Accumulation , recharge , shadow affinity but it should be on high level

i got that set by marathon by 8650 pts in marathon
i opened 12 premium boosters in a matter of 3 days and nothing from them
So you didn't get a single piece from like 12 packs HOW ? Anyway good thing the marathon is fairly easy
