Nice shooting
For the value this is the most underrated air rifle....Has a power dial to tune in for the sweet spot for your slug designed way before the new tech stuff...no regulator BUT you can hit a very accurate sweet spot for atleast 6 shots at high power...At low power maybe 50!!!!!
Man, when I get home Ima pull out the Sumatra. 25 2500 and do a slug test. great video man
Nice gunin and boy that slinging them slugs fast bro!! How did the newer of the two stand up.
I did some more testing on this airgun.Tank pressure 110-120 bar..Dial setting to max...Not at FX level but good accuracy out to 80 yards..Wish i had a regulator
Muy video y muy buenas pruebas como siempre saludos desde ARGENTINA 👍👍👏👏🇦🇷
Looking forward for the 100m testing buddy 👍 great stuff
Thank you, there will be another sumatra video next week
Best i could do was 3 inches at 100m..35gr slugs..And thats with a air tank connected to keep pressure the same...Its hard a 100m with this rifle..Plenty of power tho.
I am testing a rebranded version of these currently on my channel. The ones i have are from cattleman
I’m very interested in your upcoming videos I have a Sumatra and I love it. You are doing some testing I’ve been wanting to do just haven’t had time. Very interested in the heavier grain slugs.Keep those videos coming please! I am also wondering what ones will fit in the mag because of them being longer.
Hy gr8 video very informative, can you pleas tell me where to get those heavy slugs
Thank you very much. They are inferno slugs, I get sent slugs I ask for to test in different guns. They are available at most good airgun shops. You can also send them a message on their facebook page to find out where to find the heavy slugs.
For what gun are you looking for slugs?
The 30 and 31gr rebated boattail .218 inferno can go out 200+ in the sumatra.
@@GunningForFun it is also for a Sumatra but it is a old one ...thanks for the advice appreciate it
Nice video
How well they shoot .218 out of Sumatra?
I have shot 5.65mm slugs out of the sumatra just to see if they fit and they do. The slugs I tested only come in .217
Is this normal for the distance between the group shots and their distance from the target, and what is the reason I used a lot of air rifles? The shots were not in this way !?!!?
The gun is not regulated and does not have a power curve. It drops between 10fps to 20fps per shot so it hits lower each shot the further you shoot
We’re did that explosion come from in the end????😂😂
Nice video
Thanks bud, sorry but what distance was this?
This was around 50m
@@GunningForFun Did you do a 100m group with 40 grain? Also how many shot till refill? Aslo do you think when modified shooting over 1000 fps, will be better accuracy with the 40 grain? Thanks bud, love you videos. It's Derick from Witbank
How do you load the slugs? Mine fall out of the magazine and my fingers are too thick to fit in the gap left by the magazine to load one at a time.
I 3D printed a single shot tray to use for most shots. But if you keep the gun level the slugs do not fall out or jam. That is basically what I do. Larger diameter slugs will fit a bit better like .218.
Hi im new with Sumatra 500 , i have H&N slugs 30g its going through the magazine and not fitting tight like the pellet does , is that normal or I have wrong slugs
Hi, the sumatra works well with the larger .218 slugs from H&N. But those guns are so different from one another in terms of slugs it is difficult to tell what yours would like.
Overall we found they like larger slugs .219 even.
The best is to put a pellet through and see that the groove sizes are.
As for the magazine. Most slugs fall through because pellet skirts are larger than the barrel to form a seal and get the best performance.
@@GunningForFun thank you for replying, so if we get a slug that fits in properly in the magazine will be the perfect slug , 😜
Hmm…didn’t seem to shoot any of them worth dick. Not sure to avoid the gun or those slugs
