I kind of wonder how they decided on their current look or keyfabe for the group. Rin and Kanon are just themselves, but like, how or why did Suzuka chose to go with "plain Jane with glasses"? Maybe wanted a "class rep" type of look? Their creative process seems really interesting
I think their very average schoolgirl gimmick helps to contrast the energy they put into their work. It's visually appealing because you don't expect to see someone kinda normal looking like Suzuka be such a wild individual pop locking across the stage.
i am not sure, but watch "asobi asobase " anime. they but rin have same hairstyle as the main character in that anime. also the main character with glasses there has big b**bs, while suzuka obsessed with b**bs. and all of them act "crazy" like AG. and AG management (?) is called "asobi system" right? i doubt that was just coincidence.
What an amazing research job! I am really interested in AG! dancing influences and this video shows basically all we need to know about their dancing bases. One thing that remains in mystery is their choreography creative process. I would really love to see a backstage video documenting that part of their job because their choreographies are awesome.

This crazy kind of talent machinery is truly scary. How they are in dance schools since they are very young and they create different groups with many different niches to appeal to many different people and those love are kind of constructed by the agencies....
These are not Dance Schools only. They’re schools that teach you everything: singing, dancing, acting and modelling as well. That’s on top of regular schooling, too, which these kids have to go to. Then, there are others who are snapped up by agencies who basically teach you the same thing, internally, but it’s highly dependent on agency. There are agencies and there are agencies.

Huh, never got into the fandom too deeply but I take it that the whole "discovered via a HS club performance" is more an 'official beginnings story' spun by their current talent agency or perhaps more of a Rising88 thing to introduce their licensed early material to Western markets? Not that it would change or take away from their impressive talent, just think that it makes way more sense that they have been in the performance and music/idol biz for a long time prior to AG as opposed to having a sudden cluster of HS talent springing outta nowhere, lol.
Japan allows children so much expression and are treated like people, not dumb kids like here I’m the us. It inspired me to teach children their own individuality 😊

Their previous works when they inaugurally self promoted wasn’t of strong impact but later they found songs that coordinated and linked together as a solid performance. They continually change their dance routines as of now. Candy is getting a new dance routine as we speak. Their Yokocho 2017 performance was perfect and exceptional although they only focus on their current music that people remembe that the audience recognizes.
@@BentoBoxBobbyTV I so happy they are having so much success among the Western public but to be honest I really think their recent work are much less interesting than the previous albums, produced by H Zett M and Yonkey. Otona Blue, Koi Gena and even Nainainai! are so innovative and I hope all the public have the chance to acknowledge that albums.

Their earlier works had to do with school etc, however they may be graduating from that since they are maturing. To me I don’t over analyze of criticize much since if it has replay value and sticks to me, that is all that matters.
It's really terrible how sexualised a lot of this kids stuff is. Especially the outfits and makeup they put Suzuka, Kanon and Mizyu in when they were young feel really creepy. I hope the experience of being in that sort of environment since childhood didn't affect them too negatively, they all seem to be in a place now that lets them experiment and be their authentic selves, though I still often worry wether the constant performing and touring and dancing they're doing isn't burning them out. All four of them are such talented and intelligent people and deserve to do what they love for a living without it destroying them completely. I wouldn't survive a day in that industry.
it is interesting that for many of the atarashii gakko girls they wear less revealing outfit on stage as they become older lol (usually it's the exact opposite). also my Japanese is not great but I think one of the judge was praising the sexiness in Kanon and her group's performance. sure the judge is female but I'm not sure the word "sexy" should ever be used to describe what children do

I searched up for their beginnings because they popped in my radar with "suki lie lie" and wondered on the "new band" as I visited their YT channels and found their channel to be made on 2021
hi! ag! was formed by asobisystem, so it definitely was like an audition/recruitment situation. unfortunately, i still have no idea how asobisystem works and how they hire their artists, that's why i chose not to mention it in the video 😔 from the info i found, only mizyu and rin had known connections with asobi before ag! debuted-mizyu was a backup dancer for kyary pamyu pamyu (an artist under that agency) and rin worked with asobisystem in one of their modelling projects. i still have no idea how suzuka and kanon came to be a part of the group since their activities weren't as publicized as the other two. it was mostly just local contests and occasional public appearances. if any enough information does come up, i'll try to make a follow-up video on this one! ^^
she was influenced by her surroundings-her parents, dance teachers, peers, and the environment she trained in. i guess it was all a part of "hiphop" to her... as a child, she wouldn't know better she wrote in january this year that she used to just think these hairstyles are cool. she probably saw all the comments about it.. she said she's researched and slowly learning about the importance of these hairstyles ☺️

FYI: Suzuka's full name is Suzuka Kanazawa. Kanon's is Kanon Kimura. Rin's is Rin Nagasawa and Mizyu's is Mizuki Ishii.
Also Suzuka is the little sister of Sakika Kanazawa, the ex singer/guitarist of the rock band GIRLFRIEND
