Omg how am I only finding you now when im getting ready for work and I can't sit all day and watch your creations.. I too live in the "Tyne" area so when you tube suggested you I had to have a nosy.. You are what I dream to be ... lol.. keep it up.... Carol xx
I think you’ve made the right choice to size down - I made my first Zadie yesterday going by my body measurements and it’s very loose! Such a great pattern though so I look forward to seeing yours 🤩
Great to hear both yours and Helens plans for the Zadie. They will both look great...I haven't made it myself, but would like to and I've only heard people advise to size down and check the length of the rise as it's quite low apparently xx
I bet they’ll both look lovely and very different because of your fabric choices which I love! I made the Zadie last month in a black jacquard fabric and absolutely love it. I found the crotch length was a bit long so had to adjust the rise a little. My only piece of advice is don’t forget or skip the stay stitching! Happy Sewing!
We’re committed now Tamlyn! 😉 Love both your fabrics, sew excited to be doing this collaboration together and can’t wait to see how our Zadie turn out ☺️xx
So looking forward to seeing your toile and finished Zadie. As you know, I’ve made two and learned the hard way that I should have made a toile first! I agree with other ladies about the rise - my crotch was between my knees. Not a good look. Also - definitely size down. Otherwise it will be too loose. Good luck to you and Helen 🤞🏻💕
I made the Zadie a while back and sized down one size. I didn't make a toile but probably should have done as I found the crotch a bit short on me. Not terribly, but just enough to be annoying so I don't wear it much. The process of making it from memory was quite easy. I can't wait to see your finished Zadies :-)
Hi Tamlyn! I really admire the way you presented how you and Helen are going about your challenge with the Zadie! Others keep things hush-hush, which doesn’t do much to keep interest alive. Your final fabric is fabulous! 🤩 I hope you end up with two great Zadies, because who doesn’t love denim, too? I haven’t made this pattern because, well, I’m of the age that sometimes I need to get to the bathroom quickly. 😂 Your description of this jumpsuit makes it sound possible. We’ll see! Looking forward to your reveal and Helen’s too. Happy sewing!
Love your fabric choices. Just made my first Zadie and I’ll be interested in any advice on the finishing of the bias binding at the crotch as mine is a bit bulky. I do plan to make another one. Happy sewing and thanks for sharing
Hi Tamlyn, I just made my first Zadie, I took some width 2" maybe, out of the leg, as I'm only 5'2 so don't think really wide legs suit me, also sized down 1 size and took out about 2cm from the rise based on other peoples feedback. Can't wait to see what you make 😊
You will love it. I've made two now and they're sooo good. One thing I did notice on the first was that the crotch was quite low so on the second one I took an inch out of the rise front and back and added it back on to the leg length. Can't wait to see how yours turns out 🙂
😆 I totally have that star sign fabric (got it from sew me sunshine) and was planning a zadie with it. I haven’t made a zadie yet either (haven’t actually got the pattern yet) so might wait to see what you think of it first! 😁 x

Love the final fabric choice ❤️

Also I love your winey outtakes. That’s my girl. Cheers! 🥂 😂
I’m going to be watching avidly as I received this pattern in a subscription box this month and I’m keen to make it. Love your choice of fabrics ❤

I love seeing two or more people doing a comparison make of a pattern. It’s very useful for assessing fit and style.
Might be fun to make overalls for Taylor with the extra denim.

Can’t wait to see both versions of this!

I have been meaning to make the zadie literally since I got the pattern when released - I think you have spurred me on to get making!! 😊
This will be an interesting make to see!
🇨🇦😃 I can’t wait to see how this turns out!
Watch your sizing it comes up big. Can you show the cutting out process please when you record your vlog please xx
I am watching with interest, I have heard good things about this pattern just not sure about the jumpsuit thing myself!
You will love it. I've made two now and they're sooo good.

I have the pattern but have yet to make it too 😂
Just noticed your slip dress matches the colours in your curtains lol
I have plans to make a zadie this summer and our measurements are very similar so I will be interested to see how yours turns out 😊
