For TVHM (play through 2), I’d like Gearbox to allow us to unlock “Speed run settings”, including things like cutscene skip, dialogue skip when we’re just stood about waiting, pick up and auto sell certain gear rarities (which is now a thing in BL3), ability to respawn bosses without save quit and reload.
Love all this but I mean just give us cutscene skip off the bat, don't make everyone have to beat the game for that. Some people don't care for story and stuff and I say power to them skip all the dialogue and cutscenes you want. Love everything you said though and hope its all there at launch. Thanks for coming through, really appreciate you!
Not much point in getting a game untill its been out for a couple of years and you get the rest of the game they held back . Hope the gameplay is good. Not much hope for the story though .
Right on, Stat. More people should play The Pre-Sequel. I've been running through it again for the first time in a few years, and I'm having an absolute blast. When it comes to BL4, though... I can't muster any real enthusiasm for it beyond mild interest. The experience of BL3 at launch and the 17 months following it put me in major doubt about Gearbox's competence. I know that no Borderlands game was perfect at launch, but I'm talking more about how despite years of foresight on fans opinions, both BL3 and Wonderlands were released lacking the same features that Pre-Sequel got crucified for (dedicated drops, endgame content, etc). But given how they're apparently trying to make BL4 bigger and better, I'm sure there will be quite a few bugs in the released version. (Also, Gearbox took in the refugees from Volition, who made the Saints Row reboot, so quality is in question depending on their possible involvement). The writing I doubt will see any improvement given what we've seen of other entries to the franchise Gearbox has released in the last 5 years. Especially you, New Tales. If I do buy Borderlands 4, it won't be for a couple of years after launch. But for everyone who is excited for this game, I truly, truly hope that it is everything they want it to be, and it won't disappoint them.
This is based, I like you came in saying nervous but instead of just flingning crap you gave some true reasoning behind why. The volition thing definitely has me a bit nervous now lol and I can't blame anyone for looking at Gearbox more recent portfolio and being cautious with what comes next from them. They've done major damage to their rep and are at a point where they need to prove themselves to the sane people. I'm not sane and just really want to love Borderlands so ofcourse I stay copefull and excited. Thanks so much for being here, you stop in pretty much every time I drop a video even if its 2 months later and I really appreciate that
After the shitshow that was Bl 3 vanilla game and new tales from borderlands, i consider this IP dead. Don't get me wrong parts of bl 3 were good with dlc's, maliwan takedown, music, gunplay is straight up fire but the dialogue and the story is so mind numbingly stupid. Here's objective to wait while these two character talk and make a quirky line like " Go get loot and kill these monsters.... but not in that order.. if you want.... BANDIT LYFE" What i loved about bl2 was the story, the stakes, the ability to plan my alliegence run and skills ahead of time. I feel like they made bl 3 vault hunters wayy to bland and "jack of all trades but master of non" .
Agree to disagree on this one but I really appreciate your input, love getting thoughts from all angles. I think a lot of people feel the same way as you sadly but I don't blame them, Gearbox created this rep and now they gotta work themselves out of it. Thank you so much for being here
Excited. I don’t care about the story. Just guns, loot and enemies! Negative people hate, good people don’t! Would you go to the pub with a hater? I wouldn’t.
Keep that energy and just enjoy games, ignore the noise because if you like the game that is all that matters. Thanks so much for coming through, really appreciate you!
Troy and Tyrien were absolutely try hards, but I always got the feeling that they were ment to be. They craved validation and attention, and did a stereotypical over the top pot cast to get it, being beloved by the psychos while being utter cringe to the player.
Honestly I'm really just nervous over how the community will react when bl4 is finally out. I feel like there are loads of people who are already have a super negative view of bl4 and will go into the game expecting it to be terrible. I really feel like regardless of what Gearbox does, lots of people will be disappointed in bl4 and that will be its downfall. Edit: I'm predicting a mostly negative or negative steam review at launch because of how stuck in past Borderlands fans seem to be. I feel like so many players just compare the games to bl2 and say that the newer games are bad because they are different. Like you said, tps is a great game that is underappreciated, and bl3 is (in my opinion) the most fun Borderlands game by far. Yet, they seem to both have negative receptions in the community. Sorry for ranting and I enjoyed the video.
I can see where you're coming from for sure, I think a lot of people should give pre-sequel a try or a second try and same with BL3 especially with all the content available in BL3 now. I see a lot of people on edge about BL4 still and I think thats rightfully so after Wonderlands the way that died so fast and New Tales being what that was and to top it off the Borderlands movie even though it had nothing to do with the games, still left a crater sized blemish on the reputation of the franchise to many people. I think people should consider who worked on these projects, the main line typically has the main people like Sam Winkler behind it which makes a huge difference. Sadly BL3 (a main line) story didn't have Sam Winkler on the writing till later in the development of BL3 so these things clearly do matter as BL3 had writing/pacing issues. Overall I think BL4 will come out the other side a success, I'm staying positive on the matter and look forward to learning more. Thanks so much for coming through, really appreciate you
Right… couldn’t possibly be them just being tired of repeatedly getting burned by every gearbox project released since BL3… The horrendous writing of BL3 story & DLC’s The overall general blandness of TTWL Literally everything about NTFTBL The Borderlands movie’s existence… Yeah, EVERYTHING ONLY ties back to BL2. It just *must* be that they’re in the wrong for not wanting to feed into the toxic positivity cycle that breeds complacancy and stagnation. That makes perfect anti-sense. 🤨🤨🤨
Gearbox has given absolutely 0 reason for me to get hype about BL4. Same engine as BL3, same lead “writer” of BL3, same randy how-do-you-do-fellow-kids pitchford, and a beyond-underwhelming trailer that was just cranked out in obvious desperation that lacked all charm of their previous trailers. I seriously once believed gearbox made the best game trailers on the market. Even for BL3/TTWL, their BL game trailers were never anything short of spectacular. But with this BL4 trailer - not to mention the “leak” that randy tweeted out which made it painfully obvious that they KNOW everyone knows they’re desperate for some positive buzz - just looking like and old generic COD reveal trailer, what is there seriously to get excited for? It just looks like a BL3 expansion update.
I hated BL3 I thought the BL2 vault hunters were good. And for them to kill Maya off like that and not even give her a propper memorial just pisses me right off. They need to bring her back in 4 and keep her alive, she deserves better.
Im excited as well but bl3 was kinda shit on launch and I never played wonderlands cause I knew it was gonna be a flop the movie was dog shit andddd I mean I’m still gonna preorder bl4 call me dumb for that I understand but man I hope it’s good and we can all enjoy our time playing the game see you on the trail friends
We are the same kinda dumb my friend. I see how bad their recent portfolio looks but I can't help but be hyped about Borderlands 4. It will be soul crushing if it comes out bad but I will be staying positive on this game all the way till launch so if you like potentially stupid positivity and want to potentially watch a man get his soul crushed get subbed! Appreciate you being here, thank you very much
since i am 100% sure bl3 was a fking failure of a game ( now not sales wise by itself, but in brand damage and what happened afterwards) almost nothing in that game is rly working well wonderlands took also issues like this bl4 has to break ALOT of these down and away from fixing skilltrees cuz playing bl1-3 swapping around i find the bl3 trees genuinly suck ass, arent wide / deep enough, everything is rly meh laggy buggy endgame is almost nonexistent, dlcs have no replay value ALOT has to change oh and pearls/seraphs MUST return they dont have a fking excuse now its ourely on new consoles if this isnt possible to implement and also give me more then 50 backpackspace then HOLY FKING SHIT

I understand the sentiment and worry. Can't blame anyone for being nervous.
With everything that has been confirmed over the last 36hrs this game is on pace to become the best in the series… we’ll see come April 25th
Love it! Getting more excited every time I hear something about the game, I hope it reall does turn into the best Borderlands yet!
