How do electric companies pay out profits and then turn around and charge the customers for upgrades to the systems , seems like they should improve with profits before they are paid out to the investors
I’m disabled and get less than 920 a month to live on. Paying all bills and subsidized rent. My last electric bill was 355$ my water bill was 289$, not counting gas bill, phone etc. I literally have nothing left after trying to keep my utilities on and rent. Groceries are so high that I have to get help from other ways to feed myself and my daughter (like meals on wheels food banks etc) It’s like we’re just set up to fail. I am struggling so badly. I would give anything to be healthy enough to be able to work and make life a little easier. I’m not greedy, I just want to be able to make it.
