Awesome presentation. Soooo glad that I grow Okra! Especially, after seeing your video
Thank you
I definitely learned something today. I’m growing okra and wanted to know more about it’s history; and now I feel even more of a connection to growing it.

Okra…… why are there so many jokes about it? Ty for the history…. I always joke, if you hate something, you should at least Learn about what it is you hate. People hate bananas, mushrooms, tomatoes…. But wouldn’t you no it? Why is okra number one on the hate list?
“Okra you know? It’s green”
“I thought she was black?.”
“No Michael you idiot, Not OPRAH; OKRA.”
“Ohhhhhh, and the old man has you pulling archon duty over a vegetable.”
“Boychick, your mashyga. Clearly you have never tried okra. It’s slimes and hairy and doesn’t sit in the stomach well either.”
