first thank you for these types of videos i wish more ppl see this before buying from these companies blindly like i did before also i like esg but they have burnt out some scooters controllers and never talk bad or say issues you can run into with some of these higher end models
Thank you very much! I think it's important to be transparent. If these scooter companies are serious about offering top quality scooters and top quality service, they should embrace honest reviews, even critical ones.
@ElectricScooterGuy I think some of these reviewers don't wanna talk bad about these companies because they are afraid to not sell to them or give them any offers
Good job on the research, definitely is useful information. Yeah it sounds like Voro is what fluid used to be.... I remember when I first got into scooters and bought one with fluid, the response time was great and they were really good about resolving things and answering questions. It's really gone downhill since. After hearing about them filing for bankruptcy the other day, I emailed them asking a question about one of their scooters and have yet to hear back from them and that was like 5 days ago just FYI. If and when they do respond back, I'm going to tell them I heard they were closing down due to bankruptcy....curious what they will say in response to that. I like the response you got from solar, I wonder how long they will honor that offer to you? If you were ready to buy now, you may want to jump on that haha.
Thanks! I was impressed with Voro's service for sure! That's crazy that Fluid hasn't gotten back to you in over 5 days!! That does not make me feel good about the future of the company!!! 😬 Solar really surprised me, I was simply asking a question about the way they have the pricing worded on their site and they had me seriously considering a purchase, LOL! There is no question they will get a second look when I do decide on what my next scooter is going to be, but I am pretty pumped about what Voro has coming in the not too distant future!! 🙂
@ElectricScooterGuy Yeah it seems like fluid is either going to really downsize and liquidate some things or just go out completely. I'm going to be keeping an eye on their site and see if they mention something about a liquidation sale. If so, I will stock up on extra parts if they are discounted really low!
@@retroshaverdude6671 I am pretty bummed about it since I have only had my Klima a few months and already had several problems. Now, knowing that my support is likely non-existent and whatever problems that I have from here on out are going to be me figuring out on my own, it makes me feel like I got burned a bit to be honest. I will have lots to say in my videos for sure if that is the case, LOL!!
@@ElectricScooterGuy @ElectricScooterGuy Yeah at least you got yours at a good price though, is there anywhere else in the US that sells Namis and provides support after the sale? From what I have read, it seems like fluid may be keeping open their brick and mortar stores in New York and San Francisco. I believe their big Warehouse distribution center is somewhere in Utah and their headquarters is in Miami.
@@retroshaverdude6671 If it works out, the price will have been great! If not, not so much, lol! I am hopeful that the scooter lasts a long time and only requires routine maintenance for at least a few years. If that is the case, I can live with that either way. However, if I have some of the same problems that I have seen others having in a short time, I will be on the bitter side in regards to Nami, Fluid and others that contributed to my decision!! 😂
Kaabo's name changes - Maybe the Big, Bad, Wolf has the trademark, and threatened to sue - and/or blow their business down! I think the e-scooter craze will only continue to grow, as more people of all age groups - especially younger, are introduced to the sport, and environmental pluses are more widely realized. But for some companies to win, some must fail, as the better, more popular, or higher financed products grow. I'm hoping standardization on scooter parts are somehow agreed upon and developed - whatever is necessary for consumers to have the best scooter choices at lower prices, that are more easily maintained, upgraded and repaired. Maybe scooter racing will become a thing?
Haha! I believe that in Urban areas, PEVs including scooters will be more numerous than automobiles in the next 10 years. That's complete speculation, but the cost of ownership and ease of transport, make it very competitive to other forms of short-distance commutes of 15 - 20 miles or less. I think scooter racing is a thing on a small scale, but it would be cool if it became mainstream!! 🙂
Love your channel! Question? Is the ROADRUNNER RX7 scooter 🛴 company doing good financially.thank you 😊.I know they are based in Colorado and that gives me a little peace 🕊️ of mind!!
Thanks!! I haven't heard anything specific about them doing poorly, but if I had to guess... I would say that they leveraged themselves heavily on the success of the RX7 which has been a bit of a disappointment because of the Luminor Panels failing, that they used to set the scooter apart from others. It was a great idea, but it ended up being a bigger issue than it was a boost to the brand or company. This is just a guess, but based on what I have seen, that is likely the case. That being said, that doesn't mean they can't navigate this problem and come out on top. But, I would say it's a set back at the very least. I would feel better if I still lived in Denver, LOL! Then I could go up there myself if I had issues.
