@@splintreacts It's the most famous (and best) submarine movie ever. If you should react to it: It has several different versions of the older version from the 1980's with different lengths. Take at least the directors cut (or maybe the even longer original TV series) and DEFINITELY chose the subtitled version with the original German language. I can't say anything about the modern miniseries, that came out lately, because I haven't seen it.
Lilly Tomlin played on the tv show "Laugh-In" in the late 60s to early 70s & is a very funny comedian. She has been in lots of movies. I went to the theater when this came out. It was Dollys 1st movie. I watch "9 to 5" at least 2/3x's a year. Then l watch "The Coal Miners Daughter." About Loretta Lynns life. I love both movies!
