Everyone here listens to the song and does not know Egyptian origin And it's been since the 1990s. I also want to add that " Shik Shak Shok " It means the rhythm and pace with which we move in belly dancing , 🇪🇬
Translation: Come, my beloved Narab and il rock "We sing together and dance " And let's dance, my country, sweetness, this is my country, oh the light of my eyes, and the heart is in doubt " I mean country dance, Oriental dance "
Yeah ik but not all arabic songs are Egyptian they could be lebanese like this one or syrian...
@@Jadrammouz Perhaps you did not understand what I meant. Certainly there are many songs from Arab countries, but I am talking about Egyptian songs, most of which are enthusiastic, and I do not think there is anything like them in any country.

Absolutely love the infectious beat of ‘Shik Shak Shok’! As an Englishman, the rhythm just pulls you in and makes you want to dance the night away. Such a catchy tune!
ohh glad you enjoyed the song, brother! i agree with what you said. and i think you should experience a middle eastern wedding because we dance to this song and other songs with similar beat, together holding hands in circle, it’s really fun!!

Listening from the US and going to show my Egyptian mother in law so she can translate for me 😂
Come my baby and I will make you forget about rap and rock, come dance baladí (egyptian).....beautiful beautiful, my heart
@@salmaahmed2171
Hello, from the state of Alabama.
Thank you for the translation. 🙂
I used to study and perform belly dance (Egyptian cabaret style) several years ago, and I had a love/hate relationship with this song. I love how beautiful and fast it is, but I also hate that it's extremely fast for so long, because my instructor made us dance full speed. The agony for a beginner. 😄 She'd walk around and see us slowing down and remind us that if the music wasn't slowing, neither should we. 🫤 Still, she was such a an amazing and loving instructor and never pushed us too far. 🙂
She told us the lyrics in English, but I forgot them a long time ago.
@@LMmccallL57 Hey💕 I actually understand you, even for us egyptian girls, as this song always plays at weddings and henna (bride goodbye party (only female)), this song reveals who actually can dance well😂 that's why from a young age we learn to dance by ourselves so we don't look bad or unfeminine enough, but yeah with some practice it becomes your favourite🥰 there are so many toturials on YT and I am glad you're learning egyptian dance or bellydance, it's an art and takes away negative energy😅🤍
@@salmaahmed2171
Hi. 🙂
Our instructor was Lebanese and had started dancing as a child, too. I love how she didn't just teach us moves, but also explained the history and cultural connections, and how various countries have different styles of the dance.
I, as a woman of African American/Native American descent, like you and my instructor, we are people who who take to the rhythm of drums at a very young age, but sometimes the beat will definitely have higher energy than I can handle as I get older. 😄
My mom said when I was a baby, I "danced" before I walked, meaning that I would pull myself up to hold onto furniture so I could bounce and move my feet to the rhythm, and would often let go and keep dancing, but if she said to walk to her, I'd sit down for then crawl. 😄
My great-grandmother who is half Cherokee and African American used to belly dance in small venues for black people, but back then and probably because they didn't know a proper term, she was known as "a belly roller". She taught my cousin and me some moves when we were little girls. 🙂
I've always loved Hawaiian hula and Tahitian dance, too, along with other styles.
The party for the bride sounds similar to a bridal shower in the US, which is fun, but much more tame than some of the outrageous acts at some bachelorette parties. 😳
Yes, certain music will definitely help you identify those who can't dance. 😄
We were also taught tribal fusion or fusion to put with belly dance, and for that, I love to dance to "The Theme from S.W.A.T".
Our instructor told us to bring a favorite song to show how we'd fuse the dance styles. The song is high energy funk, and it's fairly long. Not a smart idea.😄
I danced to it a little last night, but I'm having problems with my knee and back and will start physical therapy on Friday. I've gained a lot of weight due to not dancing like I used to, but hope to get back to it. It's great exercise! 🙂
