I cant stop watching this vdo. This was me when I was 18. The sound takes me back to Los Angeles riding up the 405 over Sepulveda Pass. That unique triple sound is so unmistakeable. Thank you for posting
Them exhaust notes, beautiful sound, can smell it from here ,never to be repeated on modern motorcycles, two stroke triples, nothing else comes close, I'm fortunate to to own a few, bought them at the right time and price 30 years ago, future family heir looms, got to keep these old smoker's going and enjoyed!👌👍😉
Great video, excellent sound and vision. I could watch this all day. Many of these around in my youth. The white ones, red ones and blue also. I owned a green 1973 model back then but they were de-tuned in comparison to these earlier models. Great era, great bikes. Thanks for posting this video for all to enjoy.
Really awesome video, with great sound. Love that triple sound & the characteristic Kawasaki straight-cut gear train sound, just like music! Great riding too.
WOW these triples with little displacement out ran machines twice their size. I miss the old days when with very little money you could truly own something special!!!!!
Nice video however the bike is missing way too much at less than 1/4 throttle. Check the C.D.I. to make sure it is spot on and the carbs are properly set and synchronized. It is hard on these engines if they're not properly tuned and will last much, much longer. Look forward to another video running smooth!
That is actually the way they were suppose to sound. Mine did not clean up till 6,000 rpm. At 5900rpm it made about 15 hp, at 6100 it made 60hp. It was a light switch type powerband.

I had a H1B for 40 years 1972. The video sounds exactly as I remember it. Well done

Their is no other sound on earth like a Kawasaki triple two stroke accelerating to the max!! Especially KH400's & Mach H1 500's !!!!!!!!!!

Yes, they were the least expensive, quickest transportation available. I purchased my 1971 model for $1135.37 including tax, title, and license plate.
loved that raw chainsaw sound, sweet memories of 1975
That's an excellent runner! Super fun and beautiful, congratulations Johnny!
Watching this makes me miss my '76 KH so bad. Never should have sold it.
Superb video. H1 as fast as "shit off a shovel" Love the unique drone sound from those triple pipes!!
Its the sound/drone which is just awesome and so unique to the Kawasaki two strokes of that time!!!...........
Who the hell needs music when you have Kawasaki triples
Thank you! You just gave me a time travell... A very nice one!
Beautiful video and ride. Thanks!
The machine of my teen (and actual haha) dreams
nice video and nice bike. Thank you!
By the looks of the narrow tank I'm guessing your bike is a first year (1969) model; or 1970 model at latest.
Disc conversion, good idea.
Little chilly that day? Sounds great when you open it up.Did you notice that pedestrian walking out in the middle of nowhere?
IMPRESIONANTE.
ring ting ting!then kapow!!!

Had 3 Honda CB 500 Fours, well, guess the Mach III runs down the 500 Four easily but no comparison in the sound, there the Four just rocks :)
thats no fkin sewing machine
Мотор мёртвый.
So thats 5 mins.48 seconds of my life wasted ! ...... thought we would see a bike being ridden ..... not someone crawling along as if on a 125cc !!!
