Thank you for taking us along your lunch trip to Taumeasina. Your girls are so angelic and gorgeous.
You have done nothing and said nothing to imply that the policeman that pulled you over was in any way scamming for some lunch money. You even mentioned the legitimate reason why you got pulled over. He seems to have carried out his duty very well and didn't seem to waste too much of your time.
However, t's somewhat disheartening that many of us here have predetermined misconceptions that when a traffic officer stops you it's mainly because he wants some lunch money.
This is the stigma they live with everyday and this myth is kept alive by our own country folks who poke fun at our brothers and sisters in uniform. I am yet to find a single comment that pays tribute to their effort in keeping us safe. Let's hope that we change our mindsets and pat them on the back once in a while instead of throwing darts of ridicule at them.

I totally agreed this myth perpetuated by mainly samoan overseas which is sad. Majority of police officers never asked. We just give it just like when we run into an elderly relative in town. Its common courtesy like tipping.

I’ve now been pulled over 4 times. Nothing but great experiences with them. Calling 911 here though is a completely different experience from anything in the States. People would DEFINITELY be fired for their crap service on 911 here. I hope i never have a real emergency because they’re lapisi.

BTW I've been pulled over a few times by Samoan Police when visiting there every year and have always been treated fairly and the boys in blue I've dealt with have always been professional and have never indicated to me they were after money. There's always some bad apples in a batch but the majority are good people, at least the police I've experienced there and I have been pulled over at least once or twice everytime I go lol. Love my Samoa!

Yes unfortunately police there some just do their job, some do ask for lunch money etc. But some are corrupt as well which is really sad and horrible my husbands family had a death and the person who commited the crime already had criminal convictions etc and its as easy as paying someome to wipe that persons records clean like nothing happend😞😡 which is so so cruel to the family

I am an overseas Samoan and I got pulled over three times in one week (expired rego from my uncle's car lol). I got given a ticket once and got let off the other two times because I explained I was a tourist and was going home the next day lol

Currently living in Australia for the last 19years and we called it home. We are 40mins away from the Gold Coast this mainly our holiday destination. There's a saying in Queensland beautiful one day, perfect the next. Happy holidaying if you make here safe.

Glad u liked Taumeasina. We stayed there in Aug/Sept this year. Personally it was nice..ok..but over rated. Beautiful area though.The fiafia night was great I must admit.

The police let you guys go easy because you're not locals and its hard for them to explained why they pulled you over in English so they just speak basic english and let you off.
And the other reason is that they are starving and lucky yous had your camera on😂

@@JAMilyTV well for me living in Samoa they pull you over for dumb reasons and they try to scare the public because they know they dont really know the road rules and their rights as citizens so they kinda threaten them with the law or make some stuff up and then comes their suggestions that they're gonna let you off if you give them money but once they pull over a person that speaks English its hard for them lol so they just let them off well thats 75% of Police😁

But you gotta hurry!” He was like, “go away!” Lol!!!
