Jesus save me. I have prayed that prayer many, many times, but I believe being saved is still in my head. It has not reached my heart yet. I am emotionally a mess as well as many physical problems. I am generous, however, giving a little more than 10% to two God-centered charities that involve a pro-lifes movement. They directly help those who have unplanned pregnancies. I plan to do more. Love the idea of not just being generous, but PRE-DECIDING to be generous! Making the decision to go the extra mile, change the flat AND pay for their lunch, buy the coffee for the person behind you AND give a big tip to the barista. The key is deciding beforehand! Great message.
The way I took it was more like making it a habit or an impulse to give as in opening a door. More of like as you go about your day you have a sense of feeling to give whenever there's a need.

Being someone who was (and sometimes still can be) stupid with my financial decisions, I'm so thankful God has dramatically changed my heart to rejoice when giving to others. I pray that God continues to bless me for more situations or opportunities where I can show His love through giving more in any way. It's so wonderful it almost feels foreign when someone decides to be generous to me. Hearts are growing cold in these last days, but these are promises from Christ. this is so real for me {us} did not handle our fiances. My husband and I were not taught the value of having money. In my case i never lacked anything at home as far as material things. We carried that on to our lives, by the Grace of God He never let us starve . We went through times due to most of our decisions. Always felt to help but again it has been not enough. Generosity is really a repositioning of your life. We all want to be at the receiving end of the person giving. But by giving and being generous, I guess we position ourselves in between God's open hand and the people in need. We become an open funnel of blessing... it is my pre-decision to live a life that is more generous. To being open to God's prompting to bless others.
Melanie, what’s been helping me is bringing every thought captive that’s not pleasing to God (2 Corinthians 10:5) and also being careful what’s entering my eye gate. For me it’s not been an overnight process but I’m not where I used to be. God has put me in a place where I need to depend on him for strength and I’ve seen him manifest if I stay obedient. Life Church, We attended OPK from 2018-2020, then my job has had us traveling project to project around the country. We continue to watch on RUclips weekly. I think it's more of a problem WHERE Christians give than How Much they give. Being a good Steward of our money involves being responsible for WHERE we give. Remember, whoever will not work, neither should he eat. We can't give to others who will use our resources to continue to live ungodly.

Being someone who was (and sometimes still can be) stupid with my financial decisions, I'm so thankful God has dramatically changed my heart to rejoice when giving to others. I pray that God continues to bless me for more situations or opportunities where I can show His love through giving more in any way. It's so wonderful it almost feels foreign when someone decides to be generous to me. Hearts are growing cold in these last days, but these are promises from Christ. Thank you Pastor Craig for continuing to preach in these times as a warrior for Christ!

this is so real for me {us} did not handle our fiances. My husband and I were not taught the value of having money. In my case i never lacked anything at home as far as material things. We carried that on to our lives, by the Grace of God He never let us starve . We went through times due to most of our decisions. Always felt to help but again it has been not enough. This world has blinded all of us to seek the material and the better things always , when it is temporary. Thank you Pastor Craig.. I suppose its never to late.

Generosity is really a repositioning of your life. We all want to be at the receiving end of the person giving. But by giving and being generous, I guess we position ourselves in between God's open hand and the people in need. We become an open funnel of blessing... it is my pre-decision to live a life that is more generous. To being open to God's prompting to bless others.

Melanie, what’s been helping me is bringing every thought captive that’s not pleasing to God (2 Corinthians 10:5) and also being careful what’s entering my eye gate. For me it’s not been an overnight process but I’m not where I used to be. God has put me in a place where I need to depend on him for strength and I’ve seen him manifest if I stay obedient. We attended OPK from 2018-2020, then my job has had us traveling project to project around the country. We continue to watch on RUclips weekly.
We have just purchased a new construction home in central Hastings Florida and have a gracious request that Life Church would expand to the central Florida area!

cheerful giver means that you just give expecting nothing back in return.

I think it's more of a problem WHERE Christians give than How Much they give. Being a good Steward of our money involves being responsible for WHERE we give. Remember, whoever will not work, neither should he eat. We can't give to others who will use our resources to continue to live ungodly.
