Remember how we were talking about how we must settle on budgeted figures of certain characters due to everything else is so flippin expensive. That couldn't be any truer than with these Evas. Holy frick it's so awesome that they're in mms and could go along with Shin Godzilla.
Yeah, y’know I’m happy they’re finally here in the mms, flaws and all. I’d rather pay the $18 than $118 and still get more than one figure as per usual. Makes me all the more hopeful that MORE than just Eva units will make their way into this line. AH NEEDS.

Yo Rob, great review! Me and my brother had a history with Evangelion and A little history on how i got into it. I first saw the original adv trailer of neon genesis Evangelion during my childhood is through ironically, A GODZILLA VHS! Destroy all Monsters, exactly!!! How amusing that what intoduced me to evangelion, now come full circle! While i do prefer the real grades, the bandai figures look pretty good as well as the paint, details, and articulation are pretty serviceable for the price. Overall, not bad.

In all seriousness, it’s nice to have some nice, cheap options for Eva Units now! I hope they’ll keep going with more and more as time goes on! Honestly… even to a ridiculous margin, even if it’s just repaints lmao GIVE ALLLLLLLLLL!!!!

Indeed, It's nice to have some sizable & affordable Eva Unit figures on the market that I don't need to build and or pay $100+
for. Im just hoping Bandai goes all out and gives us more than just Eva Units. Maybe not just Rebuild Movie stuff too

The worst I had with a tag in shipment the tag was just ripped off and the plastic was still in the figure while the corner of the tag was torn for my mecha king ghidorah figure.

Ik I mentioned this in the Livestream before but I hope this opens up a creative door for Bandai to make affordable merch of other anime monsters from other series. If they don't want to add anime to the MMS, they could make a whole new Anime Monster Series for anime monsters. Because for example I would love to see a soft vinyl figure of Envy's true form from FMA:B(Since merch is still being made of the anime, despite it ending a while ago)

I have the Soul of Soft Vinyl Sachiel on my bookcase but wish that MMS would pick up the Angels too. I’d love to get a figure of Lilith with the original mask, or the OG EVA colors even. I’m not a huge fan of Rebuild haha

I think I remember hearing/seeing something about that.. what an absolute shame they never dropped them. But, maybe that’s a good thing. Lord knows they would’ve only released them once.

I mean I'd hope so... especially after the whole SHMA debacle, with showing off Angel protos and just never releasing them.

OMG, I DID THE SAME THING!!! When I heard that the (then) next Godzilla film was (for the first time) going to be directed by a big time anime guy, and that it was going to be his live-action film directorial debut, I was very surprised, boarding on shocked even, but also intrigued. At the time all I thought was why would Toho do such a thing (but not in a bad way). It was so unlike them to do something so outside the box. I needed to know more. I first looked up who the guy was, I then went and looked up what else he had done (anime-wise that is), that’s when I found out that he was the guy who created and directed all of Neon Genesis Evangelion. Now I’ve known about Neon Genesis Evangelion since the 90’s, but I had been putting off watching it…well yeah also since the 90’s, but with the confirmation of the news that Hideaki Ano (creator & director of Neon Genesis Evangelion) would indeed be directing the then next Godzilla film (Shin Godzilla specifically) the right excuse to watch through the franchise had finally come along. Unfortunately I didn’t know were to begin so I decided to start with the most recent movie, which at that point was the third rebuild movie, and as one might imagine I was VERY confused. From there I thought I might be less confused if I watched the two movies that led up to that one but nope, still confused. I decided to try a different movie, one I thought would be more connected to the series itself, kinda like the Pokémon movies, a movie like what I ultimately watched next, End of Evangelion. Now after watching all that I was in a word, lost. End of Eva and Rebuild 2 were basically the same movie, but rebuild 3 didn’t fit End of Eva and debatably didn’t even fit Rebuild 2, LOL. All I had left to clear up all this craziness was the series proper, so into the deep end I leapt, and OH BOY…still confused.

Just Got Varan, one complaint I have that his head fins aren't painted but his size really blew me out of the water, I thought bandai was going to make this guy small

Im finally going to watch Evangellion for the first time, as well as watching Ultraman and Kamen Rider for the first time, and NGL these figures definitely made me want to watch the anime (something about them looks like candy to me lol). Ive actually never watched any anime in my life, outside of Singular Point. The reason is because, well frankly, weebs are fucking obnoxious. But I realized thats not very fair to anime as a medium so I decided to give it a shot and Eva was what I chose for my first non Godzilla anime. Super excited to get started.
