He later won world idol. Called a hobbit by the judges, still beat Kelly Clarkson. After this most famous for his duett with Willie Nelson

@@elisabethstermo9396Its was the Australian judge that called him a hobbit. Simon Cowell said
      :
«if this competition was on radio rather than TV you’d walk it. Whats occured to me is that we have allowed a lot of ugly people becoming recording artist, under normal circumstances you would never get a recording contract, you know that and I know that». He was really a bully back then.

Kurt Nilsens Christmas shows on radio and TV brings him around 10.000.000,- NOK each year. And that's only for the Christmas songs. 👍 🇳🇴

I think they started with live shows with 10(?) contestants, and they only kicked out one contestant each round, so when there were few contestants left they all had to sing multiple songs

8:19 He said "Takk for meg". This is a Norwegian expression often used when you have finished a task. It is also used to express gratitude to the hosts after you have paid them a visit.
He didn't say "Stem på meg" meaning "Vote for me".

The first 3-4 seasons of Idol were popular, so it's understandable that TV2 stretched it out, letting the contestants sing many songs each.

You should watch the World Idol. The judges was rude and a certain American was soooooo pissed that she didn't win 🫣
