We need more reviewers to test it, in actual games & and comparison to asus strix scar 17/18 in terms of top end FPS measurements & display response times. Does it have ESS Sabre or better DAC? Not sure to buy of there will be OLED panel next year in this with 1000 nits that would do it, laptops could win because desktop monitors OLED are super expensive and not bright enough because them being large panels more complexity, 17/18inches technologically might have advantage.
I see the video came out... I actually got mine on 8/21. The screen is bad on it try to get help on Acer's customer support or forum. Screen essentially went black completely yesterday and returning it to the retailer. Good machine but Acer's support is completely lacking. I have been shopping around. The Predator Triton on paper looks great. But the execution is far from it. The miniled claims 1000 dimming zone but you can clearly see the zone compared to their competitors that only has 500 dimming zone. They decided to face the CPU and GPU against the keyboard, so after 30mins of gaming... it's FREAKING HOT even with full fan max'd out. you can literally feel the W key burning. The peformance is really good in Turbo mode. It hits all the power limits. If you Google it, I have screenshot of it's performance on reddit. Unfortunately, Acer decided to lock down the BIOS, so you can't tweak, assuming most people purchasing this laptop are the enthusiast.
Why would you crap on your own product with the i9 13900HX? 3rd CPU in Intels Top Tier, 5th if you want to bring in Ryzen 9's new CPU's! Just boggles the mind that you wouldn't use the i9 13980HX!
I feel like there’s no in depth review of this laptop. Please send this to major RUclipsrs like Jarrod’s tech for proper testing.
