I had the profound pleasure of seeing John Williams this past Saturday, 10/2/21, conduct his Second Violin Concerto with Anne-Sophie Mutter and the Boston Symphony. For an encore they performed "Marion's Theme" from _Raiders of the Lost Ark._ It was great to hear these pieces but even better to give him a standing ovation for all of the timeless music he's given us over the decades.

Mr. Palatine has come down from the owner's box to the sidelines needing explanations from the coaching staff for that last play. It looks like the owner and president of the franchise is reminding his team that contracts are never guaranteed.

100% this is a classic! The Sunday night football theme starts just like this one but *wide receiver* is in a class by itself!
The 1996 Olympic theme would like a word. But I agree, this is incredible. Then again, so is just about everything else by John Williams.

But you can look up the Sunday night football theme the full version and it’s nothing like this at all.
Considering how close this is to the Droid themes, I wouldn't be surprised if John Williams had originally composed it for Star Wars and then not used it just to dust it off when NBC askiled him for some Sunday Night Football music.

Sunday night football theme, that starts off exactly like this but then it turns into this unbelievable action theme like all his famous movies combined into one including the Olympics theme!
It’s crazy this isn’t played more but NBC owns it and there really isn’t a place for it besides little snippets of it may be in between breaks:( it’s sad because this should be known to all, it’s a classic!
No wonder I was picturing Trade Federation drop ships in my head whenever they would cut to a commercial. 😄

This is a close cousin to "March of the Resistance" from Force Awakens
Which in turn is a rehash of The Droid Invasion from TPM. So it's a reworking of a reworking. Which is typical John Williams, at least he now copies himself more than other composers. First time I listened to Swan Lake I did a "...wait a minute'" eye brow raised double take. The old fart loves himself some Tchaikovsky!

News flash, all western music builds on their predecessors. Bach wouldn’t be Bach without earlier composers like Buxtehude. Same with Beethoven, Brahms, and the rest. I sooooo see a reboot of “Dirty Dozen” when I hear this. Saw him do this live with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in 2012-13. Wow!! So powerful! It took all I had to keep from standing up and moving. Never forget the music that night. Never!

Man, I never thought I'd like someone else's version of something more than a John Williams version...however, this is one of those moments. The reimagined version is overall better but it comes from a great source.
