The way alimony works, generally, is if the person getting alimony gets married, they stop receiving it from the previous spouse. If the person giving gets married again, they generally continue to pay.

See, I’ve noticed since this game pack came out that the romance meter goes down super fast already. No mod is needed. I’ve had to cheat my sims romance back because I’ve seen it go down into the red super fast. If their relationship is strained it goes down fast as well.

Yes you still have to make alimony payments even if you remarry. It’s when the party who receives alimony gets remarried that alimony payments stop.
