Thank you for this wonderful tour. Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day! Cody is such a great partner for you! Happy Mother's Day to your dear mother!
I love Hobby Lobby and I love when you show what is available there! How sweet and precious to spend your day with Cody! Happy Mother's Day again to you Glenda! Wonderful video, thank you! ❤
Hi Ms. Glenda and Cody!! Happy Mother's Day!!! I love the idea of making crochet pouches out of the cream colored zipper bag. Thanks for taking us along!!! Wishing you an amazing day!!!
Love your shopping videos! I agree about the yarn section being in the back of the store, When my Dr asks me if I'm walking, I say every trip to Hobby Lobby!
Loved looking at the yarn. That burger mug was so adorable! Made me hungry for a burger 😋🍔 Hope you and your mom had a wonderful Mother's Day🤗 Wishing you a beautiful blessed day/night 🙏🏻💖
I had to chuckle when Cody said, …she has these ideas, gets the stuff, then they sit in a bag in the corner..😂 I do that all the time! It’s what us crafters do!
Hi Glenda and Cody looking at you walking around the yarn isles I would be in yarn heaven as I have nothing like your stores over here near me. Thanks for the lovely tour.❤❤
I have to say cotton yarn for the rug, im not sure how an acrylic/cotton yarn would be. I remember the regular rug yarn you could buy, you just dont see it anymore. I enjoyed going along with you and Cody! Take Care, Blessings Always 💕
Thank you for taking us with you, I really enjoyed your video. I always love to see what your stores have, compared to ours around here. I would use cotton. I would love to have a tutorial on how to make a rug.
Hi Glenda...i would use cotton for making a rug. That absorbs water the best. And than back it with rubber type backing. I use the rubber backing for crocheting jar openers. I know people cut old sheets up to make rag tugs. But they braided it and not crocheted. The cotton i love this yarn with earthy tones, green and brown that you said you really liked. I have used that a few times to make dish cloths and it works up beautifully. It is one of my favorite colors. And the person whom received the dish cloth said it was her favorite dish cloth. It always stays soft. ❤ Thank you Cody for helping Grandma out❣
I am SO SO jealous of you because that yarn selection is 3 TIMES the amount we have at our New Super Hobby Lobby! So GORGEOUS of my favorite aisles!!! Happy Mothers Day! We know this was not filmed today.....they are closed on Sundays. Richard
Yes thanks for taking me to hobby lobby....the store by my house closed and now it's too far away. I say cotton for a bathroom. I found ordering on line is very quick
Glenda I was looking for rug patterns also and Lionbrand has one for the 'Elio Rug" made with 4 skeins of 24/7 cotton yarn. Each of those skeins have 186 yards and they are on sale on Lion Brand's site for $3.99 each, good luck on your search.
Hi Glenda and Cody. I remember making a rag rug out of old sheets. That was the first project I did when I learned to crochet. I am waiting for hobby lobby to have their big sale.
Hi Glenda, could Hobby Lobby move to Wales? Just the yarn department. I have never seen so much yarn before, you are so blessed. All mine is on the internet. Our one and only yarn shop closed after lockdown. It is much more expensive to crochet anything than buy it. Its an expensive hobby!, struggling to find cotton for my summer projects thats reasonable. Thanks for the tour love seeing you in the yarn aisles.😊
Happy Mother's Day, Glenda. It's so nice that you & Cody went on a "field trip" to Hobby Lobby! My Hobby Lobby is much smaller than yours. I'm not crazy about their yarns. I think they are overpriced. I remember Aunt Lydia's rug yarn. I wonder if any company makes something like Aunt Lydia's?
Hi Glenda..Happy Mother's Day..I used Lion Brand Cover Story for my bathroom mat as well as a blanket for a friend..also, look into Bernat Home Maker, Joann's usually has it on sale..
Happy Mother’s Day! Hi Cody, ever buy Grandma any yarn? I thought cotton would work for rugs also… maybe the shelves messed up is a hint, the big clearance is coming? You could use a variegated and a solid yarn for bath rug.
Ah, watching this video had me at my local Hobby Lobby today!😅. I went to our Michaels first and their yarn selection was so tiny, only 1 aisle. Hobby Lobby had several aisles in all the colors!! I did NOT leave empty-handed. Now to fit this into my already crowded yarn storage unit!
Hi Glenda, the Last rug I made was crocheted using old bedsheets that I tore into about 2 inch strips and sewed together at the end of each strip on angle for less bulk. I also used the strips for fringe. I ended up putting a stitch in each piece of fringe. It came undone in the wash. It was great!
Most Hobby Lobby stores are down sizing the yarn department. One of the employees said the managers don't feel people are buying as much yarn anymore due to the economy as its expensive anymore. People can't afford it as much as they use to.
I'm making a shawl with Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn. There's a few more knots in the yarn than I expected, but I'm happy with it otherwise. Looking for yarn for an affordable rug reminds me of how it used to save a lot of money sewing your own clothes, but not so much anymore. I hope you find a yarn that's affordable as I wouldn't mind crocheting a rug!
Hi Glenda. Thank you for the walkthrough. I picked up those free pamphlets last week in my Mechanicsburg Hobby Lobby. I was disappointed that the patterns weren’t included. Don’t really want Togo seeking out the patterns. I would definitely use cotton for a bath rug. Good luck in your search.
I would definitely use cotton. perhaps with those variegated you could run a matching solid as the 2nd strand so you aren't trying to line up colour changes
Hi. Love your yarn review videos. Thanks for sharing! Never been to Hobby Lobby. We have a new one near by. I must go check it out. Did you ever use Ice Yarn brand? What is your favorite hook? I hear pryn hooks are nice. 😊
I think of natural fibers for bathroom things as they seem more absorbent. There's nothing worse than trying to dry off with fibers that don't cooperate 😂 Cotton comes to mind first. Cones of cotten yarn must be available somewhere which helps keep down the cost. Then a couple skeins or balls of a multi colored choice can become the accent.
I have loved working with Premier Cotton Sprout Worsted. What about macrame cord? Not sure on the cost and perhaps that is what those last items were you described. Good luck finding something to work for you.
I have a project book, actually 3. Finished, Present, and future that way I don't forget what I want to do, right now I have so many I want to do I don't know if I will ever get to them.
I would prefer a cotton yarn. That one you kinda liked, I don't think it would take as much as you think. The pattern you have in mind with the yardage, are they talking about a thicker yarn or??
I saw somewhere that Bed Bath and beyond went under and now hobby lobby is acquiring their old merchandise. Hopefully they won’t use the space for yarn for old merch.
I got carried away buying baby sweet delight. I ordered over 400 dollars worth. IT DK YARN Now I can't ask for I LOVE THIS YARN. MY SON WOULD TELL ME ABOUT ALL THE YARN I BOUGHT.
Really disappointed with the direction Hobby Lobby has gone with yarn. Every time I go in, the yarn section has shrunk even more. I think our store is down to 1 1/2 aisles.
Im making an afghan with red heart soft essentials, now discontinued and am desperately to find some😢 HELP. Ebay and amazon doesnt have enough skeins of what i need...
I started tryin' to make one for my bathroom (not keeping my attention span unfortunately), but I bought 3 coordinating cones of Peaches and Creme cotton and just went up to a 7 or 8 mm hook. It won't take all of the cones, which will leave some for rags or a blanket that can stand up to the dog. "Kitchen Cotton" make a pretty decent blanket if you want something that is natural and stands up to dog and cat claws.
Thank you for this wonderful tour. Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day! Cody is such a great partner for you! Happy Mother's Day to your dear mother!

I’m happy and can’t wait our local within walking distance mall is building a Hobby Lobby.

I used regular cotton and doubled it to make a bathroom rug. It turned out great.
Hi Glenda, cotton for rugs for me. Happy Mother’s Day to you!
I like the doughnut cup😊
Yes thanks for taking me to hobby lobby....the store by my house closed and now it's too far away. I say cotton for a bathroom. I found ordering on line is very quick
👋 Glenda! Bernat Maker is a cotton shell with nylon lining. Large skeins but kinda bulky to work with... 😉 Have a great day Glenda and Cody!
Cute mugs! ❤❤ you want inspiration go on your Yarnspirations and get the itty-bitty red heart yarns they are fabulous!

Cotton for the bathroom and kitchen.
Cute!
Thanks for sharing

I made a bathroom runner from the cotton yarn that comes on a cone.

A scrap rug can be pretty cost effective.😊
I bought one of those small canvas bags, crocheted around it. It's my makeup bag. What about macrame yarn for a rug? It's cotton.
Thank you Glenda and Cody
I have loved working with Premier Cotton Sprout Worsted.
What about macrame cord? Not sure on the cost and perhaps that is what those last items were you described.
Good luck finding something to work for you.
I have a project book, actually 3. Finished,
Present, and future that way I don't forget what I want to do, right now I have so many I want to do I don't know if I will ever get to them.
I have that Smiley Face Mug
I've used cotton cording for rugs. Peace ✌️ ☮️ 🕊
Happy Mother’s Day. What craft does Cody do?
I would prefer a cotton yarn. That one you kinda liked, I don't think it would take as much as you think. The pattern you have in mind with the yardage, are they talking about a thicker yarn or??
I use I LOVE THIS YARN all the time. I don't get out much ,so I don't know what else is out there
Thanks Glenda and Cody.
I only use polyester or cotton for a rug. I hope you find what you are looking for.
I never see that kind of yarn anymore.
I wonder if macrame rope would work for a rug?
I saw somewhere that Bed Bath and beyond went under and now hobby lobby is acquiring their old merchandise. Hopefully they won’t use the space for yarn for old merch.
I think a cotton for a rug
It would wash better
My sister found out not to take me to hobby lobby ill spend hours in the yarn section
Most of the free pattern leaflets can be found on. line,
Did you know that Hobby Lobby as you said has the longest selection of yarn variety of yarn as well as it’s a Christian yarn store?
I got carried away buying baby sweet delight. I ordered over 400 dollars worth. IT DK YARN
Now I can't ask for I LOVE THIS YARN. MY SON WOULD TELL ME ABOUT ALL THE YARN I BOUGHT.
Cotton yarn
Please let us know what you choose to make your rug, I would love to follow along. Happy Mother's Day ❤️
Really disappointed with the direction Hobby Lobby has gone with yarn. Every time I go in, the yarn section has shrunk even more. I think our store is down to 1 1/2 aisles.
Cut up a flat sheet and crochet with it
Im making an afghan with red heart soft essentials, now discontinued and am desperately to find some😢 HELP. Ebay and amazon doesnt have enough skeins of what i need...

Anybody know if any store has yarn in clearance ? In the Northern California area?
Cotton
Thick cotton, but not over a five. 🎃
Use for macrame😊
