Always so sad that I didn’t find Oöphoi’s music before he passed. What an amazing artist.... i bet he still had so much more wonderful music in his mind waiting to be written too, and we’ll never get to hear it. Such a shame. RIP 💔

I came across this amazing musician artist around the time he passed the way. I quickly and easily fall in love with his works. I say what a shame to loose such an talented artist like Gasparetti was. Look around the music scene nowadays. There's so much commercial rubbish out there. Bands that are being created so quick, pumped up with some marketing money just to look shiny, but there's no emotion in the music for me. Anyway...
This particular piece WAJAD always calms me down when I feel sad, lost, happy etc..but not only. There are so much emotions brought into this tune, so organic, minimalistic, static.
We love you Oophoi for what you made for us. Peace...

I completely agree with what you say except about the lousiness of music today. On the radio and in public spaces you couldn't be more right. It's awful. But there is an overwhelming quantity of amazing music coming out these days. I think the fact that the tools for creating music have become available to nearly all has led to the best musical era of my life. Trick is to find it and ignore the sound puddles that get played at the local Walmart.

Oophoi is a genius. Not simply ambient music but pure dreaming. Love his music.

I swear to god this channel is one of my favourites. So many amazing ambient pieces. I still remember the day in 2013 when I found out that ambient music existed. My first introduction to ambient music was Robert Rich's Somnium. I was blown away by the length as I was only used to chart music and the usual 3 - 5 minute lengths, 11 minute if I'm feeling like listening to The End by The Doors. The pictures accompanying the tracks are beautifully unique, thought-provoking, inspiring and other-worldly.
I still remember how I feel when I listen to Somnium. I feel like I'm all alone on a jungle planet, it's night time and it's raining, and I'm hid away in the jungle watching a fire burning in a small clearing. It's so cosy and warm and I'm not getting wet. The bass always makes me feel so cosy and warm.
I believe Watermusic ii was the second piece that I discovered, since then, ambient music has been such a big part of my life.
Whoever it is that runs Akshobhya Buddha, I just want to say thank you what you do. I know I went on a bit of a tangent, but music is just so beautiful and inspiring. We paint time with music.

Buddha, God, Alah or just the super-ego is always with you and you can trust this, I know.....
