- Remember all the controversy on us not taking the back window out of the 1950 Ford? Well, our interior guy Floyd is here today to start the headliner installation and he needs the back window out... so shoutout to everyone that commented saying we should've taken the back window out 😝

So we have a brown car with red carpet and yellow green door/side panels..... what color are the seats Blue??????
😂
You don’t listen to any of the comments but it’s your build so you do what you want fast. And then you always have to go back and have extra work to do.
I like Floyd avoiding the carpet topic. LOL!
ACC is a great company He doesn’t want their lawyers coming after him too. They expected to take the carpet out of the box lay it in and drive away. Neither one of them took the time to read the website or watch the video they provided
OK you don't like the carpet, send it back and order from another vendor. It is tiring to hear your rant over this.
@@martyc5466troll!!!!!!
Hi Chad, Jolene, Doug, & Floyd, how is everyone doing today. Chad it might be worth having Floyd install the carpet he is probably experienced at doing it. If not go to a home improvement store and look with the utility knives usually that is where they have the carpet knives as well. They usually have cheap ones that have a permanent blade and a wood handle and then they have the better ones that are like a utility knife except shaped differently. Doug I see you are still working in the building trades, you are a man of many talents! Floyd I can't wait to see the car after all your work is done on it! Jolene great work on the camera & video production as always!
You don't know anything about the interiors of cars!!!!!!!! Carpet
Well pro teach him. Oh wait you don't either .. my bad 🤦🏼
Guaranteed to fit often means trim to fit. Pedal cutouts not precut in case pedal mounting and articulation are different than stock. Car produced in that Era can vary in dimensions.
I have enough drama in my life without listening to yours, I don't watch you for that, I like watching your builds but not your complaining
Don't lie! Don't lie like a cheap uncut carpet!!!😂😂😂😂😂
Lower your volume. Problem solved. Eyes see not hear.😁😗
Quick to rag on everyone else , but don’t criticize Chad !
That’s not necessarily true, he doesn’t rag on people near as much as the people in the comments due on his work,If you were to count the times that he gets fired up and the amount of negative, whiny comments that he gets I’d say he’s pretty mild mannered. But once he does get riled up he does tend to go on and on but so do I so it doesn’t bother me that much. I like the guy and think it would be cool to work with him if we were in the same state/country. We do think a lot of like I can tell
Well who the hell buys red carpet with yellow door panels !!! Lets put apples to oranges why don't we.
he payed 200 US that's cheap browns 400 US😂😅🎉
@@d.ricc6421 ~> especially when you google his net worth~
I agree, imagine a guy wanting to do “his” project the way “he” wants to. He should just reach out to all the you tubers who haven’t actually busted a knuckle and get their opinion.
I have put a few carpets in early model 70 Chevy's. They always come wide. You take a razor blade and trim the things. They don't have holes for seat mounts, etc. Big f'n deal. Cry More.
How about you pick the color's of your own build first. Then share your irrelevant opinion on the web.
Chad if you're so upset with carpet send it back and buy from someone else that way you can get a color that will match the interior because that red looks like crap with the other colors.
The carpet situation reminds me of the car he bought, failed to look over good and then ranted for a week about how he was lied to and deceived. Go to that website, read the FAQ, it clearly says the carpet comes with no holes and has to be trimmed. Also if the website asked no questions when you order carpet about the interior configuration especially the transmission type then it should be obvious to you that you will have to do some trimming.
That he was forced to make an apology video. I don’t think a reputable company like @accmats is going to let it go that easily. He blames everyone else for his ignorance
Watched the installation tutorials on the company’s website…looks like a whole lot of cutting and trimming for even their tightly molded carpets.

I mean you ask questions. I did not see anything about ready to install and the carpet photo you see is just rectangular from what I could tell. He is in such a rush. It is such a pity!
He complained far longer than a week about that. He still whines every time he sees it. 🙄
They printed installation instructions on their website . Clearly states the need to cut for peddles and trim to fit .
It's not Chad's style to read instructions, how many time have you seen him read any😅
Floyd knows more about the carpet than Chad. Let him run with it or send it back.
dude that's how the carpet comes u cut it LMAONow
so...then if the company says 100% fits is obviously lying......or you wouldnt need to cut a fucking thing....or it would be 90% fits
I think if you start a podcast/bitchcast about the things you buy and they don’t turn out to be what you thought, you’re gonna lose a lot of fans. Your insincerity would be overwhelming as your only goal would be to lash out for self interest reasons. I for one got so annoyed with how you acted and even how you snapped on Jolene when you bought the car you neglected to inspect properly and could have brought back that I unsubscribed for a while. Most of us are grown up and don’t needed to watch temper tantrums about your delusions. “Fraud”? Really? I would be willing to bet if you looked at the specs they likely stated dimensions, but then you might have to break out the tape measure. Opinions are like diapers, usually full of shit. Your Archie Bunkerisms are sometimes funny but most times ridicules. Leave philosophy to the experts. Stick to what you do best and don’t get a big head. Stay in your lane and keep it simple. Your amazing at metal and that’s why people watch your channel, not because they need your advice or opinion/tantrum on something as simple as a carpet purchase.
Get over it Chad it is what it is and it’s correct,it’s not a custom carpet but it’s the carpet that will fit ,you are showing your insecurities about this carpet and it’s not a good look .
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤤🤤🤤🤤 close that bottom jaw unless you're wearing a bib.
Went the cheap way on carpet what do you expect! Sometimes penny pinching will bite you in the end !
You work backwards you really do you are a good fabricator but you have no common sense no offense but it’s true
Take the carpet and put it in the landfill and put hockey tape on the seams and spray it with rockguard and call it a day! 😢🇨🇦 Your supposed to be this big time car builder , so get someone that does carpet and spend some of those millions and get on with it. Its not rocket science!!😥
The interior guy said the carpet looks fine to him....
Yes, and Chad will go on and on. The carpet does fit, its not to small!
Well you’re wrong, CHAD.😊
Why does the paint come off too easily from your paint job? It should be cured by now! It seems as though you can't do anything without removing some paint.
He got the paint on the rubber which pulls the paint off when the rubber is pulled away from the car. The windows and the rubber should have been removed from the car before painting and not reinstalled until the headliner was installed.
I stopped watching this episode and the one before due the constant complaining about the carpet. Just shut up and send it back.
Enough about the carpet already. Sheesh.
Time to put your ear muffs on Jolene!
Enough with the carpet. Take it back and on to something else please.
Okkkkkaaaayyyy Karen
Quit your bellyaching Chad and hire someone who knows how to install it since you have no clue.
I agree. I can't believe Jolene lets him continue to rant when he clearly didn't understand what he was getting. We are the cause of our own suffering.
How would you like to have him as a customer, if something is not in his favourite he just keeps ranting about it.
He share his life and make his comments, I bet each of people complain as well. Chill out,
Stop whining Chad. All carpet kits need to be cut. It's 100 percent fit after you cut it in place! Lol😂 besides I'm glad it didn't fit, then you would of had a tri color interior. Red brown and yellow! Yuck! 😆 come on Chad next carpet needs to be black or brown.
All carpet needs To be trimmed.....
well then its not cut to 100% fit then is it
I trim my girlfriend's carpet every now and then😅
Even Floyd said that carpet has shape and was molded. Did you get the padding for it too? Lay the carpet in the sun for an hour or so to get the folds and wrinkles out of it Put it into position and install it. Modern car pedals do not come thru the floor they come from above the floor so none to very little cutting for the pedals, and I think that is what you expected. For me the carpet is correct but the color is wrong but it is your car and if you wand red green silver and other colors in the car that is on you. I would have gotten black since that goes with every color you could have in the car.
I would lay down the carpet and put the car outside on a Hot Day all day long with all the windows up so it gets Hot inside so that way the carpet can relax and lay down flat then you can do the trimming and put the holes where need to be then you can put all the trim round the floor
NO car carpet comes with the pedal holes cut out or the damn seat holes what rock does this guy live under?
Absolutely! Obviously, Chad has never bought a carpet kit for any vehicle. Making himself look like an a$$

Your short answer is yes, EVERYONE knows that you will have to do some trimming when you buy carpet…..for any car.
Please stop….seriously…..🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Should probably learn how to order things and read the whole ad. you got a molded carpet so its molded to floor pans but you still have to cut to fit. You should have got a a cut and sewn carpet if you wanted direct fit. Custom means you can chose colour and carpet type so its a custom carpet.
Can't watch this episode and listen to whinning about the carpet - that is the ONLY way I've ever got "molded" carpet - bought 15-20 carpets - NEVER CUT and NEVER a STICHED BORDER !
Maybe you'll stop crying tomorrow

Not sure what country your in but in the us you can buy OE molded carpet that will directly fit your application if they don't make it they will sell you a universal fit wich us what that looks like
it looks like Chad is not reading the comments. 😍😍😄think about what the people are saying
Just cut the dam carpet and getr done! Lol
I hate to say this, but Chad doesn't no very much about cars except cutting metal & welding😪! Time to move on Jolene & use your long extensive education to the fullest. Sometimes in life you gotta make chicken soup from chicken shit!🤣
I told you yesterday that’s how’s they are made they will fit 100percent .stop crying it’s a carpet
That's about enough about the carpet. Most carpets come just like you received.
Its made that way so you can custom fit it in your custom car.
I've installed carpet in many classics, what you got is exactly I've gotten on all applications. I trim to fit and I've always had to cut for the dimmer switch. Just the way it is.
Please don't blame the carpet company.
Just cover the edges with Sticky chrome.

On the carpet company's website is states that pre-1960s carpets *typically* are molded and have pedal cutouts. Newer vehicles after 1960 do not have the cutouts, they state, but are molded.
You guys may have misunderstood. Not sure. Either way, Chad's out of line. I personally would never do business with you guys. There's a reason car mechanics and the like are not well respected in society; you guys exemplify that more and more. It's a shame since the skills are real and take time to acquire.
You are wrong about the carpet Chad. It has to be oversized and cut to fit. Think about it friend this is a bad look for you

Every once in a while, Chad makes a statement about something that is obviously meant to hopefully grow the audience, like the sign out front and Jolene's remark about doing a podcast. But it seems like their current audience gets more and more antagonistic, and that seems to be primarily because Chad and Jolene seem to ignore what their audience is saying in these comments. Maybe taking into consideration what the current fans and supporters are telling you, rather than ignoring them, (while trying to acquire new fans, who WILL be just as frustrated in time with the same things that are frustrating the existing supporters), when they say that they would like to see a project finished and so on...get back to the roots and you'll see the channel continue the rapid growth it had a yr or two ago.
Im a big fan but its getting more difficult all the time to watch the content, because you guys arent coming off as the humble, underdogs any longer like you used to. Good luck though, I'll keep watching, as long as I can stand it.

Automotive Upholstery is its own world. Only people actually doing the work know how it works. Everyone else only have adesperate guess as to how it works. Also the carpet dosen't care what you think.

Still crying about trimming carpet? After all the grizzly work u had to do.
The red carpet is a huge mistake!
Watch RUclips videos on carpet installation and it will be perfect after your done
As a person that has installed more carpets in cars than i could ever count, I am telling you nobody sells a carpet that doesn't need to be trimmed. There are many reasons for this. I will mention just the most obvious ones. First modernizing these cars consists of relocating the pedals, the seats, the tilt steering has the dimmer switch on the column. The amount of insulation and sound deadening alters the width of the carpet and also when the trans tunnel and shifter come into play. Just because you are inexperienced in this part and dont understand the process of the carpet install doesn't mean the seller of the carpet misrepresented it. All experienced garages know and understand this. This is normal. I love you guys and your show but honestly you are a customizer and bitching about this makes you look ridiculous. There is no such thing as a direct fit carpet in a car, especially a custom built car. All professional builders know this. Quit bitching and build this awesome car. Good luck
How come you don't have all those nice automobiles covered? And why is there so much dust getting into the new building. The chadillac doesn't even have a top. So much to keep clean. So much dust. Covers, covers, covers. Also the gasoline in them must be turning into syrup or something.

Is this the first car that has come this far to completion?? Is it the first car that needed that needed a carpet??What the hell is in the other cars??
Hey Chad you lay the carpet in. Then get 3 m super hold spray glue . Spray one half. Rub it smooth . Due whole floor like that. Take carpet knife cut for pedals an sides. That should work fine.
OMG… Chad is still crying about the carpet. It’s obliviously he has never installed carpet. Have the headliner guy install it…
It does fit, after you cut it to this specific body and pedal system you have or chose . I don’t understand your frustration over this, it’s easy to cut and adhere it with proper glue ,and you only need glue in keys areas and it doesn’t have to be throughout . Your obvious inexperience in this area is the main issue and not the carpet . This is where you go backwards …again . I would have had that carpet installed in 30 minutes , including a trim around the pedals and side door rail trim .
Why would a Chad believe a warehouse exists with 500,000 different carpets to fit 100,000 different model cars and all their options, just so Chad could buy a custom carpet that required no cutting? Get real, Chad boy......
Iv never seen a car carpet that doesnt need a little trim work. Im surprised you havent.
I had to cut my carpets on everyone I purchased from different suppliers . They always send it bigger then needed .and holes are not the same in every car .
Carpet...capet..carpet....give it a rest....
A Jiffy bottle steamer will make the carpet more manageable. You do that first. Steam and fit before you cut. If you have a dimmer switch in the floor that's one location
Bad news travels far and wide, and You Tube channels have a finite life for making good money.
Ignoring your viewers posts is one way to shortening that income life. Yes, we all know there are a 100 ways to do every job, and everyone thinks theirs is the best. But when it's obvious your way is not a good way and you tell all your watchers to basically "shove it", (which you have reiterated in many of your videos that you did actually read the comments) that loses your audience. Add in almost endless "whining" when the problem is YOUR fault, also runs off viewers. You did this for days about the car you bought a while back, where you didn't really do any real inspection, (so that puts it all on you) thrashed the seller, and when he tried to make it 100% right, you kept the car and still thrashed him! And here you are again thrashing a company for YOUR problem of not reading the ad. You wanted a 1000.00 USD custom carpet for 200.00 USD, that's the first clue. Reading just a few posts would have let you know YOU made the mistake and you should have let it go right there. Add in that you are probably a millionaire and you are complaining like you lost 1000's of dollars. We all know you like to be frugal, but going on and on just makes for bad videos.
What you do is very cool and many have learned a lot from your videos, but you really need to tighten up on your complaining or actually really just leave it out. The company did not do you wrong or use false advertising. I have used them and had never done a carpet in my life, I read the directions cut to fit as is mentioned and it came out great. And I'm using them again.
In the end, how about discussing things with Jolene first, get it figured out, double check you are correct and then if it is false advertising then share it... without the ranting. No one likes to get "taken", but it really looks bad when you go off and it's your fault...
So many agree with Chad the carpet was falsely advertised. But how did he order it. Did he state if it was a 2 dr or 4 dr, column shift of floor, stock gas and brake pedal or custom, IF noted it is a 2 dr did he give measurements of changes to the door? And what about the seats, are they stock bench seats, bench from a different vehicle, or bucket seats, center conceal or just open to floor. Did you tube the rear wheels being a custom hotrod? How would they cut to fit without all this information?
I forget the dimmer switch, any speakers in kick panels, any A/C ducts down low. OR is the interior just a totally stock 50' Ford 2 dr with all stock mounting points and equipment? PLUS, did you ask for any extra carpet the same color to use in the trunk or for door panels...with measurements...
I went to the website. None of that was an option. But if you read the FAQ it clearly says the carpet does not come with any holes and needs to be trimmed. Now if you order a carpet and the website doesn’t ask what type of transmission you have right away bells should go off saying “I will have to trim this carpet”. The whole thing is on Chad. Sort of like that car he bought, didn’t look it over good and went on for 3 days about how he was deceived when in fact he made a mistake.
@@thomassciurba5323 I am not saying he made a mistake... I am just saying if you hope to purchase a plug and play type item you need to give details of what you have and what you hope to receive... that way the supplier can tell you if they can fill your need. If I heard correctly Chad paid over $400 dollars US. I believe he could have purchased carpet locally that he liked and hired a carpet installer with experience installing in vehicles for near the same price....
Just another life lesson for us all.
Floyd looks much healthier lately and is another great professional associated with Team Hiltz
Apparently you have never bought any carpet before. They don’t know if your car has floor shift or clutch or whatever. It fits the car from side to side and front to back and has sound deadner on the back side. So that’s exact fit.
