The "men and women aren't equal" statement always causes debate. The reason for this is that Fit & Fresh interpret the word equal as meaning equivalent. However, the word equal can have different meanings and be applied in different respects. Yes, men and women are different and thus not equivalent. But this does not mean that there is no sense in which men and women are equal. In my opinion, men and women are equal in a human sense. Both genders are human beings worthy of basic moral respect which encompasses things like freedom of speech, freedom to work, freedom to travel, freedom from enslavement, freedom to purchase property, freedom from opression, etc.

The Israeli women soldiers thing is a bit oversold in urban legend. They are not in combat (in front line combat units at least) and are not really much different from the average US Female Soldier.

Women being emancipated mid 20th century due to technological revolution meant women are just as educated as men, in the workplace just as much as men, making as much money as men.
