I have a love hate relationship with with my Apple Watch. I can’t live without it but the fact that after a year or two the battery doesn’t last for an entire 24 hours drives me nuts. I don’t want to spend so much every two years! So that’ll be my last one… unless they find a way to improve battery life.
That 10 second clip of you and grant feeding your two kids side by side on the couch with Grant near the middle of this vlog gives me all the feels as a long time subscriber who remembers the IVF days :')

My little guy is just a few weeks younger than Lucy. I need all the pockets. 😄
I've raised 7 kids (5 bio & 2 foster children). I always did my makeup & got ready every day. That was my grounding time. With our youngest 3 babies, we had one son then twin sons 11 months later. When they were all babies/toddlers, I had a big makeup kit hidden in my family room entertainment cabinet, and for 15 minutes while they played in the family room with me, I would do my my makeup every morning. That was how Mom centered herself to handle the day. I found if I looked like a sick day, my energy was like a sick day.
Self care is important…it’s just not what the marketing world wanted us to believe it is. It’s different for everyone.
My first born turned 20 in August…LADY! let me tell you…every birthday is a sort of “I can’t believe it” moment. You are certainly a natural mom and having a supportive partner is such a gift…cause that’s how love works💕🥰💕
I actually look at my phone a lot less when I have my watch on. You don’t need to look to make sure you didn’t miss anything, because your watch will alert you of any messages.
I know there are no perfect parents, but your vlogs remind me that quietly & consistently, there is still so much love in the world ❤

We literally just put the bunch of balloons from our toddlers 3rd birthday in June. It's been almost 3 months and we had it out this whole entire time because it was still going! I say as long as you find joy from them, leave them up! That Halloween haul is so adorable! I also LOVE how you are with your kids. You literally inspire me to be a better parent and to keep the gentle loving energy as much as possible with our toddler. Thank you so much for your videos.

I’m a special needs mom too. Been with you since your college days. My son is about turn 22 and I remember the early days where you and the other moms in the comments are. It’s not easy. But we do it. I have just started working out. I have systemic lupus - that’s how I found your channel. So I get the self care thing and truth told I only recently started to take it seriously because I was in the zone for so many years in addition to taking care of sick and aging parents. Life can beat you up. That’s why I love escaping to your channel. My son was a Dalmatian for his first Halloween! I remember going out of my mind for the perfect costume. This was pre- Amazon and fancy internet days! Had it shipped from Disney world after talking to a small shop owner! Have the best pictures in front of a fire truck in the fire house. Hope you have a blast with both girls. They are PRECIOUS!!!!

No I cannot believe you have a 3 year old and also that you have 2 babies! I am an OG, been watching since when you would be sitting in your bedroom floor putting on makeup with your fingers and when you and Bunny use to do videos together. Those were always fun.
I don’t take my watch off anymore. Especially when having kids, I find that I set reminders, alarms for feedings or bottle, medication. Like it helps me keep track of life as silly as it sounds. I find it convenient to glance at the text if one comes in and your hands are full. I have 4 year old and 8 month old so hands are always full. It also tracks sleep and other things which can be beneficial. I have a rubber band for everyday because it’s easy to clean with spit up and all. So I’d say yes, keep it.

"I'm holding it like a dead fish." 😂 I recently bought my first Apple Watch too because I found out they finally added a feature to track wheelchair pushes instead of steps for those of us who use a wheelchair. So I thought it would motivate me to be a little more physically active but I haven't taken much time to learn how to use it and I'm not really crazy about it.

I got an apple watch for the first time a few months ago. I got the solo braided loop (you have to measure your wrist to get the right size) in the natural beige color, and I love the way it looks. It is comfortable to wear all day. I can't do metal or rubber watch bands. I finally got one because I normally always have my phone with me, I like to walk on the path near our house, and I can have my audible and podcasts with me without my phone, and it is a safety feature. My husband kept thinking I would fall and couldn't call anyone, but my watch has a data plan so I can make and get calls. I keep thinking my dad should have had this for his safety. He fell and was by himself for almost 2 days. He was just in his house, but on his own--because my mom had died before. Lucy looks so cute with her new haircut. She does have the most beautiful hair!

One day I woke up & realized my entire closet was nothing but jeans & tees. I saw pics of myself looking much better when I was younger & realized that it wasn't just bc I was younger but that I took better care of myself. So I've bought clothes for a capsule wardrobe & started using tanning Lotions again & painting my nails more & I feel like I'm back! 🥰 I also workout regularly now! I've gotten more compliments this summer than ever & it just really makes me feel like I'm doing something right.

Growing up, there was a Snoopy Christmas display down the street from my grandparents house. We looked forward to it every year. The display was donated to the city hall so people can go there to see it during the holidays. It's still pretty magical! 🤗

I always take down the decorations within a day or two if not that night after the party. But you’re right it’s oh so cute and I’m sure she’s getting so much joy from it. Also, I am scared to death of the Apple Watch. I am trying so hard to avoid it because I’m just not technologically advanced anymore. I’m a retired teacher and time seems to be leaving me.😂 I do really love the charm bracelet strap, though. The dalmatian costume is the sweetest most cutest thing ever!
Those party decorations can stay up as long as they are looking good! If the balloons start to fizzle, then it's probably time to take them down, but it looks adorable. I'd leave it until I wanted to take it down to replace it with some holiday decorations! Lucy looks like a little princess with that haircut!

I remember waaaay back to the dark ages. When my kids were small. I didnt always have time to put myself together. But i eventually made it a real point to that half hour to an hour to do my make up and hair. Weather i got dressed was another matter.
It became a ritual we followed till my kids left home.
To get a bath, my kids sat on the room with me. As they got older it became real conversations. Im in my 60s and my girls still talk to me in the tub.
Weird or not it kept us close.
It would have been totally different had we had sons.

Totally hear you about being anti-phone-strapped-to-your-wrist. BUT I feel like a smart watch helps! I can keep my phone out of reach, keep my attention on my toddler, and know if there's any call/text truly important, my watch will alert me

Leighann!! My mom has a full peanuts Christmas display for the front yard. She made them in the 90s. They’re amazing. But she doesn’t use them! They’re about an hour north of Houston! Just sayin 😂💖

@@leighannsays she painted all the characters (like in the nativity scene outfits) onto big pieces of plywood that my dad cut out and stuck them on 2x4s to hold them up on the back. I always thought surely we bought them but nope. I guess that’s where my crafty side comes from haha.
My child is 8 and has a rare disorder as well (part of his genetic changes so rare he's the only one they know of even internationally!) with a plethora of other diagnoses. Without writing a novel he was hospitalized 12 times by the time he turned 1, got a feeding tube a day shy of 2 months old and had some form of one until a month before his 7th birthday. Anyway I share that because I too couldn't imagine having a 3 year old and now he we are at 8! It is so cliche (and annoying) but that saying the days are long but the years are short is actually so true!

I love my Apple Watch! I actually forget where my phone is a lot of the time when wearing it. I can put my phone away and know if there is an emergency text or call, I will see it on my watch. That means I don't have to keep my phone by me and I look at my phone way less!

Halo DreamWeave breathable crib mattress? Or something similar. One version is also somehow waterproof/can be rinsed off if have a blowout, upset tum, etc.
My sister has an Apple Watch and an Oura ring and she 100% prefers the ring!! It is so much more helpful and accurate than the watch:)
