Thank you very much, Helmut! This is by far the best guide I have seen to building a website in a WP block theme in 2024. The best things are that you start from scratch and work without any plugins. I'm helping my daughter to refresh a website using WP theme Twenty-Twentyfour and nearly got lost with block editing before I found you video.
Bonjour, One of the best course about FSE in 2023. I was a little surprised to find a WordPress tutorial on a channel rather devoted to Thailand (i spent a few weeks there a long time ago). Thanks for this professional work with everything we need to understand the essentials of the full site editor.
Helmut your tutorial is a life saver again for me. This time I came back to this tutorial after searching high and low even googling to try to find a solution as to why my own custom theme archive template keep displaying post from all the categories instead of specific ones. I am glad you highlighted the part about "Inherit query from template" at around the 1:23:18 mark when you were talking about creating our own archive template. Thanks again for this tutorial.
I have been looking at a lot of wordpress tutorial especially newer ones based on the default Full Site Editing Block theme types. So far yours is the most comprehensive and the added bonus of providing us with the course material saves us alot of time (I don't have to go find images and fonts). Oh and the part about running a local wordpress server/site on our pc was really a superb idea (which many tutorials on youtube didn't touch on). Maybe because I have done a little bit of css coding in the past and is quite familiar with editing codes and stuff, I found the part where u explained about the codes inside the css and json files to be very very insightful for me. Actually at the time of writing this comment, I am in about 25% of the video and I decided to try add another custom color to the theme.json file so that when I go to the site editor > styles section I could have another color option from your theme. I think your video should get more likes and views as it is really a very comprehensive wordpress tutorial.

I'm in Phnom Penh btw so it was interesting to see the other videos on your channel. Please do some more tutorials/explanations about WordPress themes and full site editing as it does seem that this is really going to shake things up in the coming years and it would be good to get in on the ground level before it becomes too different. I just wanted to know if we should develop an understanding of this markup language. Does this help in any kind of "advanced" troubleshooting thing? Thanks in advance
Nice tutorial. I am still strugling to find a way to integrate license check mechanism for genuine buyers and also theme update check functionality. If possible please make a tutorial on this.
I am using Laragon local host. I do not know how to open the WordPress folder to install the files and folder for the new theme. I did install them from inside Visual Studio Code to a folder on my desktop, but the new theme did not appear. Any advice please.

I'm working with WP 6.4.3, and as luck would have it, no matter what I do with the background of the header, it applies it to the footer as well, on the index page. Where you have a white background on the header, and pepto-bismol pink on the footer, when I alter the header background to white, the footer also becomes white on the index page. Did I miss clicking on something somewhere? What a faff this WordPress is.
