texture packs might increase the fps on the top left corner but it still depends on the screen cuz if your screens max fps is 120 then the 1400 fps doesnt matter
You're completely right! But, when your fps drops a little (for example, from 800 to 500), you won't notice it, but if it goes from 200 to 90, you definitely will! Also, some people need high fps for recording or streaming, and this is a nice way to improve your fps :)
