No definitely not a mod. As far as I’m aware, he has not moved the location..
It isn’t a very tricky spot and it’s pretty hard to find .
It’s a little bit easier to find if you could find that huge flat spot at the bottom of the hill in front of the truck.

Mine had a v8 block when I found it

so it requires the v8 engine? or can you swap the transmission

Unfortunately you can’t put the 4 banger in it. It requires the V8. But it still uses the I4 starter
