Leila is so beautiful! Of course she'd have lovely puppies, regardless of who 'daddy' is.

My family and I used to have a border collie crossed with a retriever. She was the best dog ever. We got her just before I was born so I don't remember her as a puppy. But she had to be put down a couple of years ago :( I would LOVE a border collie. They are such wonderful dogs!
ture i have a beautiful border collie he is alot of work but he is always happy and i always take him for walks he is well groomed and looked after we have had him for 6 years and hes been well good with his obediance he had hearding blood in him u can tell tht he is smart and good with children soo thats all from him
We kept Napoleon and Juno see - Napoleon and Juno -Windy day. Four went to friends in Switzerland and Douglas to a friend in Spain. All much loved and have changed the lives of their owners!

Border collies are working dogs and are very 'true' to their breeding, They are wonderful to own but need lots of work to be happy.This means space or lots of walks with balls to chase. Sheep farmers with collies are not keen to let them go as pets in cities. I think it is happier for all if we can give them the home they need.
Nearly any dog is a good family dog if raised with one, My Border Collie is now 9months old and i couldn't be happier!

My four border collies enjoyed this.. All sat and watched it with ears pricked up.. l have the Mum, Dad, and their 2 pups.. Well pups are 4 this Oct LOL.. We loved the party time music.. Nothing like a beautiful pup, especially a Border collie one ;) x

So sorry that your Leila is gone. I lost my Cinder two years ago and I would rather have lost an arm or a leg. They mean so much to us. It must have been a three ring circus at your house with seven puppies. They are so cute and coloring is very good. Hope you were able to keep one for yourself. Thanks for the video.

My border collie had her first litter of 3 puppies nearly 2 years ago. We've had her spayed in January, They were all born tri colored even if the father wasn't.

My bc Tuva passed away just a week ago... She was 13, and we had a very good life together.
No more now, Seven were enough of an experience this lifetime. Here in Spain there are many beautiful dogs abandoned and in need of loving homes - not many Border collies though. see my Fergus - Looking for a Home
aah thank you :D my female is a tri colour and her siblings were pretty much all tri aswell, she's just had 7 puppies and no tri colour markings on them at all, i thought her gene would have been strong enough to give me some tri, the pups are only 2 weeks atm so im hoping to get a tri colour or two :D fingers crossed, she did however give me 2 chocolates ?? what a throw back !!

I lost my girl, Tess Siobban, in '08. She was 16 yrs., 2 months old and had 3 litters before I had her spayed. Her son, who belonged to my niece, JackBNimble, lived to be 15 yrs, 8 months. They were mostly b/w with some tan markings. I still have his girlfriend, Little Bo Peep, and Tess's BBF, Gypsy Rose Lee. Bo is also b/w and Gypsy is r/w; they're both 12 now and by Jack, they both had 4 girls and 2 boys each. All beautiful snd smart. Some went to farmers to herd sheep or cows. Some looked after elderly companions, one was a therapy dog for a young girl with CP, and Gypsy herds me around. I think she's trying to teach Bo too.
You have done so well with such long successful lives. My Spaniel when I was a boy lived 16 years but it seems that today lives are shorter - is it the food - the environment ? Here in Spain there are some killing diseases, Leischmaniosis, Parvo etc. We do our best.
Yes, I have to buy Frontline, a dewormer, then get my girls their annual rabies, etc.shots. I gets expensive. But it's worth it when I consider that I don't have to pay for college for both my girls! My first dog was a Border Collie mix I named Gem-after the Empath on "Star Trek" in '-79. She never had any puppies and lived 13 years. How old was Leila when she died? Tess and Jack both had strokes before they died. I hope to get another female pup before either Gypsy or Bo pass on so one can train the new babe like Tess did and name her T'Ami (think Tommy) and later a r/w male named Hamish-William Wallace's friend. I don't if I'll get to do both though in the future, but it would be nice. A priestly friend owns a son of Bo and Jack named Ajax and he's a beautiful big boy. He's a tri, but not his mother. The grandmother-Tess-and Jack were though.

Hi they are three years old now and Napoleon and Juno are grown up here, Four are in Switzerland and Douglas is having a canal boat holiday with his owner in England. We didn't really charge for them as we were grateful to find good homes for them.

@noonabraggs123 Very difficult. But Napoleon has two white stripes and Juno has one pink nostril. Sometimes we get the others right!!

were they born with tri colour markings ? my pups are 2 weeks old now and no markings have shown up on them ??
The father is not a Border Collie as you can see but I believe he has a lot of 'sheep herding breed' in him and looks typical of dogs the Spanish use with their sheep and goats. Surprisingly the puppies are all identical and typical but I can't say they are pure!

@69sexyLEGS I think they showed just black and white when born, the brown came some weeks later. You can see in the video at 4 weeks. See Napoleon Juno windy day for grown up stage.

Not sure - he is Spanish and has a lot of 'pasteur' in him, owned by a man who came up for the day to work on neighbours house!!! Pushed the front door open and made friends with Leila - you know the rest..........
