Kashkorse, garter, eraser cloth can be of different densities, different degrees of extensibility and it is necessary to treat each material individually according to physical and mechanical indicators.
I also show the calculation and tailoring on the example of a kashkorse with a density of 370 grams and the percentage of deduction I took is 10%.
Neck length-10%=kashkorse length.
57-10%=51 cm
Once I sewed from a cotton garter, its stretchability was very tight and I cut the collar -5%. The collar turned out to be perfect.
Therefore, everything is individual to the materials that have it, but most importantly, the collar should not be like a belt or cuffs in a stretch, it should be slightly stretched when screwed in, otherwise the collar will be bent, boat-like, too close to the neck, which creates discomfort when worn.
