I went to the park for a hour, shot around 250-300 balls within the paint and outside the paint and only missed about 24 shots, I didn’t even fully polish the form and I did good, thank you so much this was a great help
My foundation, aka the way I’ve been shooting since I was 7, is to turn my guide hand and use it to push. Needless to say, I can’t shoot to save my life. Never though about putting my guide hand on top to stop this. Good tip. It feels weird at the moment but, I just have to put the reps in.
Thank you so much! Ive been playing for a while now and I wondered why I could only hit lays. I created a bad habit of shooting in the middle of my body and now I know to ark my main hand instead. This really helped me hit more shots down and actually felt more natural when I shot so my wrist hurts less. Great video my boy ❤️💪💪
I'd like to have seen more instruction on how the lower body should come into play. You briefly went over the hips but how about the legs, the feet, and generating power from the lower body?
Knees should be bent at a 45 degree angle, feet should be squared or have one feet slightly in front of the other. When you jump try to land in the same spot you jumped from not jumping forward or backward unless you have to. The most important thing tho is to square your shoulders when you shoot and flick your wrist to generate a proper arc.
Recent just a week ago I was making a lot of shots but these past few days I been missing a lot of 3s and brick my mid range shots, this video helped out a lot thank you

Hi, thanks for the video! Quick question. How much should I jump? I see you extend but not jump. What is they best way to keep in control and consistency?
I’m not even a beginner I’ve been playing basketball for 8years now and my I’ve been missing a lot of my shots so I’ve been trying to find videos to help and this on really helped me thanks 🌝
The best tutorial on the youtube, thank you so much for learning me, finally i can get some shots 🔥🔥🔥 i have been shouting so wrong all these years 🤦♂️
I'm 63 and just joined a National Granny Basketball League in our city. No basketball experience needed, which I have none. We have a completely different set of rules. We play with 6 instead of 5 and only play 1/3 of the court. So if I'm playing forward there are 2 of us and 2 guards from opposing team. We can't jump when making a shot so am trying to make the shots count. This video has gave me some idea of what I need to do. Thanks!
Thank you coach you just don't know how big of a help you did on my jumpshot release and became a good shooter because back then was only good at rotating my team and make good pass because I was a bad shooter now I got a confidence to shoot the ball because of this shooting release form because every game I manage to make 5-0 straight shoot on the game and the first week I was practice the release shot I cannot believe I manage to make 10-0 2nd day 5-0 and yeah I mix my confort release shot to your forming shot and I instantly became my best weapon on the game so thank you Keep it up 👆✌️ And yea.. I forgot to mention that my coach change me to a catch and shoot gaurd so I'm so thankful!
I been shooting the ball with 2 hands for so long idk why I put my other hand on the side and yeh sense I haven’t shot it without to hands when I try it might be hard
Thank you You fixed every problem I have with my shooting, and you actually explained what happens in the shooting form instead of just saying how to do it and ending the video.
Reps my guy. Like so may reps that it's second nature. And take your time so that you can focus on the form each time. And record yourself like he said. Good luck
The problem I'm having is I'm coming off of knee surgery but everything u talked about in the video I have tried to work on but I miss about 90%of my shots and I have no idea what I am doing wrong
Hola!! están muy buenos los videos quería ,pero podrías hacer algunos videos subtitulado al español ,eso me ayudaría y ah varios que no entiende el inglés muy bien
Hey I've a doubt can someone answer. When I'm shooting the ball with my right (dominant) hand, my elbow seems to move sideways when I release the ball. Hence not a natural proper shot. However I'm able to get a proper flow (not a lot of power, elbow good tho) with my left hand. What should I do. How do I correct my right hand form? Answering would be really helpful. thanks!
Have you heard of a follow through. It’s when you hold your arm in place after you shoot the ball like curry does, I think holding your follow through can fix your right hand shot.
A lot of people shoot with their elbow out bc they have the ball positioned in front of their face so try having the ball on the shelf above your eyes so you can see the rim without moving your elbow out.
Should I have a gap between my palm on my shooting hand?because a lot of videos I watch the shooter doesnt seem to have a gap between his palm and the ball?
Even if i put my hands on the center, i still have elbow flare because i dont have flexable wrist, even if i stretch or do mobility exercises on my wrist, it is still not flexable, what should i do?
I think im a 2 handed shooter so im trying to reconstruct my shot. Before i was able to knock down almost everything wide open, i even made 67 out of 100 shots from 3. But now i cant shoot at all, just after 2-3 months. This is why im trying to shoot properly again. I can make most of my shots from within the ft line now, but if i extend from there, its just all airballs.
