    I believe all the major discographies err in not including a 4th reed player, who I believe in this case is Wayman Carver. Listen carefully to Carter's vocal and you'll hear three saxophones accompanying him. Likewise, all the sax soli's are played by four instruments, not three.

      Thanks for the watch... There is more than one George Washington, this one was a trombonist the others are, George Washington Benson Guitarist and George Washington Thomas Jr. a pianist...

      That is George Washington playing the (rather rough) trombone solos. Shad Collins is the trumpet soloist!
