Shilese has impressed me the most. She has grace and power. And she has peaked at the right time. If she continues as she has she will make the Olympics.
Everyone did a an Outstanding job, But I got to give to Simone Biles, There will never be another Gymnastic that embroiled the Energy and Style like Simone, SHE'S THE QUEEN OF GYMNASTIC❤
OKAY CARMEN, SINCE YOU'RE ARE AN EXPERT OF GYMNASTIC, THEN LET'S SEE YOU ON THE FLOOR. SIMONE DID HAVE A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN WHEN ALL THE PRESSURE WAS ON HER. WE ARE NOT GOD, SIMONE IS A HUMAN BEING JUST LIKE ALL OF US. SO CARMEN, CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU DO WHAT SHE DOES, WHETHER IT'S FLOOR, BALANCE BEAM, OR DO US A FAVOR, SHUT THE HELL UP!
SO CARMEN, SINCE YOU SUCH AN EXPERT ON GYMNASTIC, LET'S SEE IF YOU UP TO THE TASK. SIMONE PRESSURE WAS PUT APON HER, YES SHE HAD A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN, BUT I GUESS AS AN EXPERT YOU SHOULD HAVE NO TROUBLE WITH THE PRESSURE, RIGHT. JUST DO US A FAVOR, JUST SHUT UP!
I’ve always rooted for Simone, but I absolutely love Shilese as well. She is so naturally graceful. I love watching them. One is all power. The other is all grace. They will be a killer combo in the AA at the Olympics.
How many world or Olympic metals does she have on beam? US gymnastics tried the same overscoring with Kara Eaker. The same year Simone Biles became World Champion, and Kara petitioned and got her score lowered. There is no way Suni deserved that execution score. BUT if she makes the Olympic team (things are not looking good. Maybe an alternate.) We'll see what the international judges do with the routine.
@@0xTRellyx0What are you talking about. She was solid, except for her switch ring. Shes the only one exceeding 180 on the switch half, AND she had a lower difficulty dismount. Her score was fair compared to a lot of others. Shes being strategic, and will probably upgrade to the double pike. Also- comparing her to Kara Eaker is just ridiculous. Kara had so many built in deductions, but Suni doesn’t.
@@avyhuang101 Except that there isn't going to be a spot for a single event specialist. Her only other usable event is vault, and most of the other strong contenders for the team have qualified for the VT event finals at Worlds the last two years or have the same clean DTY that Kaliya brings to the table AND have a usable BB or UB routine in a pinch.
@@calihapamama The same issue rules out Trinity though--only her bars look usable at this stage (well, beam could be usable as a backup if she stays one, but you wouldn't want her as one of your main three beamers), yet she was included in the video.
I hope she makes the team, too! I’ve been rooting for her since 2017 when she first hit the national scene. She’s been a favorite of mine, and she’s always trying to push herself and clean up her skills. My guess is that she may have made the team in Tokyo if it were a five person team instead of four with two individuals. I wonder if that’s one of the reasons she’s back besides the mishap in vault finals.
@@maritamuras8978 I agree. She's always been a favorite of mine as well. Of course her tumbling and her vault are outstanding. I just love her smile and her joy for the sport. I've noticed this year both her posture and Physique are so confident. She knows now that she's exceptional but she remains humble.
I would agree with all of this, except when Jade brings her upgrades on floor, it's over for Shilese. She's still doing basically her college routine with an extra pass and still scoring respectably. She's bringing her moors back and it looks goooood in training.
Sweet baby.... Suni has had major health issues. The fact that she is even here demonstrates her strength. The beauty of this era of Simone Biles? Support them ALL!!! Especially Jordan Chiles. She is so great...
I totally agree. Shilese is turning up the heat. Her performance on bars is fantastic and she's very consistent and her form is really good hitting almost every handstand. She will be a force to be reckoned with
You know she didn't even train her cheng all weekend and decided at the last minute to throw it?? She didn't do it in practice or at podium training, and didn't do it warm ups. She just went for it ice cold and executed it beautifully. That's crazy to me!
@@seansbookreviews2977 I'm sure she's been training it like crazy in the gym, she just didn't warm it up. Kinda reckless but I'm sure she cleared it with her coach before she did it. She's not stupid. If her dad said no I don't think she would have done it.
Dang, the US has a decent chance of posting a 15+ on three out of four events for team final. Pretty amazing. (Not likely to happen on beam though). Also pretty incredible that this set of routines only counts one score in the 13s, and I have no doubt that Jade will be capable of 14+ with her upgrades.
This. Jade scored 13.85 with basically her college routine plus an additional easy pass. She already said she is upgrading every single pass. She's going to be well into the 14s.
@@omglauraelizabeth low 14s is her Olympic floor routine is realistic. That was her maximum difficulty. But she may not lose as many artistry deductions this time around, depends on how the international judges take it
@@omglauraelizabeth that just isn’t true. Andrade and a healthy gaidrova can outscore Jade. It’s a closer matchup between them, Simone is on another level of course
@@Bxyxox gadirova was grossly overscored and we all know that. It's been shown time and time again. However, gadirova is out of the equation. She's injured and will not recover in time for Paris. She outscores Rebecca over and over. Idk what Jade needs to do to prove to you people that she's good enough. Not like she's a gold medalist (both world AND Olympic) or anything.
Simone, Shilese for sure. I think the rest is a toss up until we see what the do at Championship at end of month. Suni won't be selected for Olympic camp if she can't get a bar routine together. You need consistency and experience with pressure situations going into Olympucs and Jade & Jordan have that. Remember we are going against Brazil and I think it'll be a show down like 2023 worlds. Exciting gymnastics!
Just a thought on Suni...she's fighting and recovering from an ailment that derailed. And she has fought back. She's the last Olympiac Gold AA Medalist. Have her back! She's amazing!!
@@brookhayden2858 I don't think any of what you said contradicts the original statement. Suni's fought back splendidly and was and still is a great athlete. She also hasn't competed bars since her kidney issues arose and Olympics aren't looking optimistic for her as a result. They're both true.
Does Suni have to have a bar routine as long as they have three consistent scoring gymnasts? Madison Kocian went to Brazil for 3 bar routines and nothing else.
Shilese really impressed me. She’s been a lock since last worlds in my opinion (barring any injury of course), but her upgrades look consistent. I still think it will be Simone, Shilese, Jade and Suni. (As long as she shows her bars like in her training/ podium training). The fifth spot is a toss up between Leanne and Jordan in my opinion.
Of course, this meet was little more than a warm-up to Nationals ...and from Nationals we will see who qualifies for Olympic Trials. If this were Olympic Trials, it would be Simone & Shi for sure. Jordan, Jade, Skye, Tiana, Leanne, Dulcy, Kaliya, Joce and Kayla all bring something special ...but the high scores can't be overlooked from Suni and Trinity neither of whom competed all four events. And I'm still hopeful that Gabby will put it all together in competition. In training, she's sure looking like an Olympian to me.
@@avyhuang101 I understand the nerves thing but she had nerves back at American classics and now here .. if she competes at nationals I hope she can really dig up the gabby from the past and show out .. she’s always had history with performing well under pressure so seeing her withdraw like that was pretty unsettling
simone, shilese and jade are all locks barring injury and their upgrades for championships and trials. in order for suni to make this team she's going to have to knock it out of the park on bars and beam at championships and trials and upgrade her vault and floor, and then the last spot will most likely go to the next best all arounder since we know from the last worlds and olympics that anything can happen and a main team player can go down at the last minute. that last person could be so many different people we'll just have to wait and see how they all do at championships and trials, the real competitions start in 2 weeks i'm so excited!
Jade isn't a lock at all. She has two events she is good with and that's it. USA doesnt need a person who specializes in vault and floor they need another strong bars worker. Jade doesn't fit that at all
@@seansbookreviews2977 not really. Simone and Shilese are great on bars. As is Suni if she goes healthy. The other AA girls that are in the mix can all put up a good bars score, especially Leanne and Skye and even Jordan could do if it came to it. They will need a 2nd vaulter who can do more than a 2TY. Right now that is only Simone, Jade, and Jocelyn.
I'm really impressed by all of them. My team prediction is: Biles (AA), Jones (AA), Suni (BB, UB), Carey (VT, FX), Chiles (backup on everything) But... I'm kinda old school and would prefer Biles doing a vault she can land cleanly, notice when handstands aren't fully vertical on UB, and always get distracted by flexed feet. Was delightful to o watch without Tim Dagget saying " big release move coming, and there it is, all she has left is the landing, gotta land those"
😆 Ironically my dad, who doesn’t keep up with gymnastics, didn’t like how Samantha Pezek was talking through entire routines. I told him she’s used to covering for college gymnastics, and those commentators talk through everything.
For the record, I think Samantha and Tim do a great job commentating on gymnastics. I honestly miss Al Trautwig’s commentary because he reminded the commentators that they need to explain things.
If healthy: Simone, Shi, Jor, Jade, and fifth is the wildcard. My gut says it will be Suni based on past performance, medal potential on beam, and the fact that she's the reigning queen. Somehow, I believe Suni unless she decides to balk, will be on the plane, even with Kayla & Leanne as strong alts.
Suni is more of a lock than Jordan or Jade imo. She’s beating biles on beam as of right now, and while she’s trying to upgrade bars with her signature skill, she could downgrade and still medal on bars..
Suni is a lock imo. She got the beam and bars and we need BOTH of those. She can also pull a nice DTY if needed AND she can pull a high 13s on floor with the upgrades coming.
@@jaylenc4946💯 agree. Most people keep saying "we haven't seen her bars!" But we have lol! She has done them in all of the podium trainings and at camps and she is crushing it! The only reason she hasn't done it a competition yet is so she can petition. It makes complete sense and is so smart to do it that way.
The ONLY locks are Simone and Shi... every other spot is up for grabs. Jade is going to have to beat Suni, Sky, Leane, and Dicello which hasn't been happening. So we'll see. Take a look at last year's World team. It will probably be the same people. The international Judges hate Jade's floor... the year after she won, they changed the rules to incorporate dance. lol.
Tough decision but think Simone and Shilese are on on 4 events in team final so Jade balances floor and vault, Suni beam and bars and then the 5th should be another all arounder TBD.
If this is the thinking and it could be, we probably will have a choice between Kayla, Jordan, Skye, or Leanne. If Trinity, Kaliya, Tiana, and Joscelyn improve scores on 2-3 events and do all 4 at the next two meets, then they are looking at who is potentially the highest scoring person out of the bunch. To me, that is Kayla. Jordan is second. And Skye is third.
@@catinabox3048she has been training them and you know she will be ready. Cutting it close is Gabby she needed her return a year ago to get into competition.
Jordan just made a huge argument for herself today. After Tokyo USA is really going to prefer all arounders when picking their team. Simone, Shilese, and Jade are pretty much locks at this point. With Simone and Shilese likely going up on all 4 events that leaves Jade for floor and vault and probably Suni for bars and beam. Jordan just hit 4 for 4 in the AA and placed 3rd. Her bars were overscored but you could put Jordan up on any of the 4 events if you needed to. Honestly it’s gonna take Skye or Leanne hitting 4 for 4 up until trials to take that spot from Jordan imo.
If Jade hadn't messed up her bars she would have placed third. I think both Jordan and Jade have a strong case for AA. Especially considering that Jade has upgrades on both floor and bars she can bring.
Surprised no one is talking about Trinity Thomas! If I had to choose between hers or Jordan’s bars, I’d actually choose hers! She tends to be better on the technique pieces of glued legs, pointed toes, and though she has some work to do, I trust her consistency
You know that Jade actually didn't train her cheng AT ALL in practice OR in podium training right?? She literally went up there and threw her cheng ice cold. And she nailed it.
I know it’s early in the year, but on bars I saw a lot of loose legs and backs, low handstands, and in general dismounts and landings were all over the place. Tighten up!
@@jessicarunslong Classics is always kind of a sh!#% show. People who are READY at classics tend to do well the rest of the season. But lots of people can have a really messy classics, and go on to have a great season. Suni 2021 bombed classics, for example.
@erinm9445 that is a good point...it just seems pretty late in the game to be making major changes/corrections...I know they don't want to be peaking now... but they want to be close
They will be better before trails, they have a full schedule in the next few months to clean up, Nationals will be better then the training for trials.
I would cry the happiest tears. A Suni moment; an unexpected but totally deserved win. She had the goods to win silver over Andrade but it would be tough for sure. As of rn I’m guessing she’d get bronze.
@@ultrasheer8473what Rebeca has over Shilese, that makes her win over her is her floor routine. Rebeca scores higher on her floor routine than Shilese does. Last year at the all around, Shilese was over Rebeca after the 3rd rotation but then Rebeca did her floor and scored higher than Shilese floor which gave her what she needed to win over Shilese. If Shilese had an almost or equal floor routine, it would literally be a toss up.
Simone was a bit of a mess? HUH? What were you watching lol! And I am soooo glad Suni won! She is my fave. I don't understand why ALL the news outlets and even the official results show Simone as the winner?
Gabby's bar warm-up was 🔥. If there's a miracle, she's invited to the Olympic trials, and she performs 🏅🏅🏅🏅on all 4 events, AA 2nd behind Simone and Olympic AA Silver. However, if not, there is hope for next year.
My team is Simone, Shilese, Suni, Jordan, and maybe Skye if she delivers at next competitions. All are all-arounders, no matter who pulls out, team USA will get the gold medal!! no more specialists!
I don't think Trinity has a real shot, honestly. She seriously DOWNGRADED her vault from what she was doing in college. What??? Shes a beautiful gymnast but doesn't have the difficulty to be a serious contender.
@@King_David26 I'm excited to see that too, always loved watching her compete in college. I'm not sure it'll be enough. Do you know what her second vault is?
She understands the assignment this time the first time the weight of a whole country not just a team is on your shoulders, now she can go out in Golds, I see three golds a silver, and bronze, can't wait for the trials.
Jade had an off night on bars, but I could see her being the Grace McCallum for the 2024 team, solid on all events and in all 4 rotations. I think Jordan might have actually done better if she'd stayed in college while training, that being said...I hope Leanne has a better showing at championships, I really love her gymnastics. Simone started on beam and though she didn't have as big of a form break as suni, she did have tons of balance checks and wobbles.
It seems Shelise Jones has the all around best routines, even when her acrobatics is not comparable to Ms. Biles', I think Shelise will do good during the Olympics.
Eu até acho ela consistente em relação as outras, menos a Simone. O problema é que agora ela não vai vai mesmo, já que está lesionada. Acho que o time será Simone, Shilene, Suni, Jade e a última entre a Jordan, Leanne e Kayla.
I think Leanne goes before Jordan personally. But we'll see what happens over next 2 months. Shilese looked so exquisite and polished. That green Leo looked exquisite on Suni and I do hope she can make team but only of she is 100%. I was so sorry for Konnor. She has so much promise and her Dad dying I was wishing good things for her. But I'm thinking right now it's Simone, Jade, Shilese, Leanne and maybe Suni. If not Suni maybe Jordan or Kayla. I think they need Leanne because she can get it done on any of the 4 events. But she'll need to get the difficulty back at 100%..
Why Leanne over Jordan? Jordan can go up on any event too, and we’ve seen Leanne’s international scores from 2023 vs Jordan’s from 2022. Jordan scored better on every event from 2022 team finals
@@Bxyxox Because Leanne has medaled individually (silver AA at a World Championship)and i think she would be scored better internationally if she has all of her difficulty. Nothing personal at all and Jordan is a solid gymnast but I think she gets overscored sometimes by USA judges vs International.
@@ahavens2463 Jordan outscored Leanne on every event if you compare the 2022 worlds Jordan team final AA vs 2023 worlds Leanne. Leanne didn’t crack 13.3 on floor, Jordan won two individual silver medals on floor and vault as well.
Everyone has to realize in one sentence simone biles is the best gymnast in the world. She has do much distance from Everyone else I mean literally because of her powerful moves and this is why it could open the door just a wee tiny little bit for others because of her powerful skills. She's just so strong and powerful that she sometimes over rotates her moves causing for unnecessary deductions but made up for by bonuses 😅. But if she hits on all cylinders in Paris you can all forget it you're not beating her I mean Noone. You couldn't put all the top gymnasts together to beat her 😅😂
So really Simone, Shilese, Jade (vault/floor) & Suni (bars/beam) make up the top 3 scores. They just need to find someone who could deliver a substitute 3rd score on all 4 events.
Exactly. Simone and Shilese doing AA, Jade doing FX & VT and Suni doing BB & UB (assuming Suni is able to scrape together a bar routine, which i have faith she will) have Team Finals covered among the 4 of them. No need for a 5th gymnast. In that case, you might as well take one event specialist for the 5th spot, like a Kaliya on FX or Skye for VT (if she gets her Cheng). I would have said Gabby just for bars or Konnor just for beam but circumstances have changed.
@@davidjacobmarts535 I feel I have seen a million videos of her doing a laid-out full twisting Jeager so hopefully she competes her bar routine at nationals
Let's be honest. Suni was gifted that beam score and we've yet to see a bars from her. Jordan's bar score was also questionable. Kayla also received gifts considering she would have placed 3rd if not for her falls. Her beam score would not have scored that well internationally and when you compare it with Shilese's, it was laughable. I really hope the judges are more fair at nationals. It's impossible for a selection committee when they score inaccurately. Simone, Shilese & Jade are locks.
sorry but i have to disagree with you, shilese would definitely not score +8.7 on uneven bars internationally, that routine was at best 8.5. suni had only 1 major deduction in the routine, the rest was fine
Let's be honest. You're not a qualified gymnastic judge & you have no idea the difficulty level of Suni's routine & why it warranted her getting the beam gold.
Suni's beam was gifted her score??? How do you figure?? She hasn't shown a competed bars, but the training videos of her new skill...are pretty insane...I think her not doing bars is a strategic move ... potentially waiting to debut her new routine plus conserving her energy with her illness perhaps...
Fairly good possibilities but as we know, the athletes have not yet brought their "A" game yet because they do not want to risk too much at this point. There are athletes who didn't even fully compete yet and we should not underestimate them AT ALL. People should not be saying anything yet about the woman's scores or abilities because they were all SO stellar even with mistakes, that I feel bad for whoever has to decide at trials, whew..
If Suni stays healthy and is able to compete bars by trials: Vault: Jade, Shilese, Simone Bars: Shilese, Suni, Simone Beam: Suni, Shilese, Simone Floor: Jade, Shilese, Simone Pick a random gymnast but you only need these four to maximize scores.

@@aliciamcdonald7105 honestly, I don't think josc is in the conversation right now. She does not seem healed from that injury. She should aim for 2028, she's got plenty of time.
@@ArikaNrazzle I agree with you with respect to Josc. What I did there was to show who was in direct competition for a spot on the team. In this scenario, Jade definitely has it over Josc and Jordan has definitely raised her stocks against every body else. The thing I think everybody is waiting to see is if Suni can do her bars routine successfully or something near it in d value and if Gabby can do her routines without messing up.
Jade should’ve been on the last Olympic team so I see no problem with her on this one either. A consistent double even finalist, is it 9 world medals I believe but for sure 7 and of course Olympic gold as well.
Who will go to the Paris Olympics? Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, Shilese Jones, Leanne Wong and Jade Carey are huge contenders for the team. I think the number for the team is 4 and then there are specialists and alternates, but it remains to be seen as to who they are.
Long way to go. Skye had a rare fall on bars or would be in this group. Suni also didn't compete bars or could have been a top 3 bar score too. If you put them on a team with Simone and Shilese, the smartest thing would be to have a strong all-arounder who excels at vault and floor, and that's jade carey. After this meet, thats my top 5, with skye and jordan interchangeable currently. Skye offers more potential upside with higher potential on bars and beam than jordan. But yes, long way to go. Wong, dicello, tiana still in this. The two days at Nationals and two more at Trials will obviously tell the tale.
A rare fall from Skye? She falls A LOT. For a gymnast that specializes in beam and bars her hit rate is literally like, 25%. I saw someone break it down mathematically. But what it comes down to is that falling isn't rare for her.
@omglauraelizabeth I wont deny Skye's beam is prone to falls, but that's not what I said. Maybe I wasn't clear, though I literally said "a rare fall on bars", meaning she rarely misses bars. I think of her bars as usually consistent and 14+, usually scoring higher than what Jordan or Trinity did here. She hit clutch bars at both 2023 World's qualifying and team finals, biggest meet of the year. She hit bars on both day 1 and day 2 of 2023 US championship. She hit at 2023 WOGA elite cup. At 2023 Winter Cup, she had an extra swing but no fall. She was so reliable for team USA on bars last year, and her dty vault is just fine if needed in a pinch. If she does indeed show a decent Cheng on vault at Nationals (Im skeptical) that would boost her chances greatly. Yes, her beam is hit or miss, a lot of upside with the d score but a lot of risk too.
@omglauraelizabeth yes...i listed 6 without falls, you listed 2 with. That is 75% hit rate, not 25% as you say. Most of us discount Winter Cup, lest you forget Suni's disastrous bars there. Jade and Kayla fell last night off bars too and Suni opted out. Suni is 0% hit on bars this year. They are all looking to peak next month, not yesterday. Skye punched her ticket to World's last year by being stellar on bars, stop gaslighting me with alternative facts.

Everyone saying Lee for beam and uneven bars and I am here waiting for her to do a complete and successful bar routine under pressure in a competition. She fell TWICE at winter cup and didn’t bother competing it at US and American Classic. Unless she hits 2 bar routines at Championship, i don’t think she can considered for the team just for beam. Wow! What a talented group Vault - Simone is other worldly Bars - Shilese’s power and interconnection of skills. W🤩W. I mussed Sunni’s elegance on there and hopefully she’ll get to compete it. Even so Shilese is a whole point ahead of everyone else. Beam - Suni)s grace and presence and simplicity makes everything look so easy, when it’s so hard. Definitely #1 beam worker. Shilese and Simone are close, but that’s Suni’s event Floor - Simone,… Duh 🙄… But she’s gotta stick the Landin’s and also her wolf turn is a little off these days Jade is powerful on the vault and her tumbling skills on the floor are money. Unfortunately she is not a good or pretty dancer. She tumbles and then when she transitions into the dance & acro skills, it’s like she becomes disconnected and is thinking instead of performing the material. I think if she spent some concentrated time on those parts of her routine and enjoyed that performance aspect, she would improve. Shilese on the other hand has had phenomenal dance training. You can tell. Her port de bras (carriage of the arms) and the way she extends movements through the tips of her fingers and toes is so beautiful. All of these young women are doing a phenomenal job and if they focus and tweak and finesse all of their weak areas, USA will dominate this summer.
Simone, Shilese, Jordan, Suni and depending on how the tryouts go Jade or Jocelyn. Although Jocelyn struggled abit yesterday possibly due to recovery from her injury

@@omglauraelizabeth I wouldn't even say she's getting wrecked by Jade. Josc's sloppy execution is doing the wrecking there. At this meet, Josc has a 1.2 point D score advantage across all apparatus over Jade at this meet, but Jade still beat her by 1.9 points.

good competition but inflated scores on devices especially on ub and fx, Shilese 8.7 And on ub?? please give her a maximum of 15 with this difficulty.. and shilese can't get 14 on fx 13.8 and biles 14.6, not to mention the terrible artistic talents of biles and jade, the only american with good artistic performance on the ground is shilese biles jade and jordan they look like robots
I agree that Shilese has the best choreography and dance style of all of them. But let's be for real, it's not a dance competition - it's gymnastics! It's about doing the big tricks (D score) and executing them well (E score). Jade is the reigning Olympic champion on floor for a reason, and Simone is the reigning world champion on floor for a reason. While artistry is a judged component, it's not the most heavily weighted component and only counts for a few tenths overall. It makes no sense to complain that their scores are "inflated" when they have a history of outscoring everyone else internationally as well. The only two people who can even compete with Simone and Jade on the floor are Rebecca Andrade and Shilese Jones. But in terms of this competition, Shilese's difficulty on floor does not come close to Biles. She only did 3 passes (compared to Biles 4), and the dismount was watered down. Simone's routine was upgraded from Winter Cup, to the point where it's almost unbeatable unless she falls. Jade's entire routine was watered down, but she is capable of much more difficulty than Shilese is. So assuming she upgrades before the Olympics, Shilese is going to have a difficult time even making the floor finals, much less medaling. As far as bars and beam goes, scores are always slightly inflated on the national level compared to international competitions, but that's not a problem because it's still fair for everyone who is actually competing here. Shilese easily had the best routine of anyone, so her getting the highest score is fine. Remember that this is only the first major competition of the summer, and the gymnasts are expected to improve and peak much later in the season. Hopefully Shilese adds her half-out on her bars dismount, which would give her sufficient difficulty to potentially medal medal in bars finals (if she executes perfectly).
Shilese can get at least 8.6E for this bars so you are wrong. She doesn't have extra kip and extra half turn in handstand position now so these deductions are out from her 2023 bars.
Jordan can dance, recovering from a shoulder injury, and it's a new routine. Jordan's college routines were awesome, she definitely didn't look like a robot, so I think that eventually she'll loosen up on her floor routine.
Good thing this is gymnastics and not the nutcracker, my dude. Dance accounts for a very small portion of the score. Difficulty matters. And no one can beat Simone in difficulty. When Jade brings her upgrades in a few weeks Shilese can't challenge her on floor either even with her gorgeous artistry. Robots tho?? Lol Jordan can dance her ass off, you're crazy.
I love Shilese. She has such exquisite long lines and a very elegant gymnast over all. And her bars routine is just wow.
Rare combination to have the beautiful lines, grace, bars and dance skills, AND be as powerful as she is! I love watching her gymnastics.
I’m obsessed with Shilese Jones she is just beautiful to watch. ❤ I also feel privileged to be watching Simone do what she is doing in real time. 👏👏👏
Shilese has impressed me the most. She has grace and power. And she has peaked at the right time. If she continues as she has she will make the Olympics.

Biles is outstanding
WOULD EVERYONE PLEASE STOP TELLING LIES ABOUT SUNI! Yes she did win on beam, and definitely DESERVED TO!

When Trinity does this DTY and Chuso at Championships and Trials it’s Really going to SHAKE things Up!!!
Exciting gymnastics!
does Jordan really have that though? i agree overall though I dont think Jordan Suni is the best comparison
@@dkadkins6545I agree, it's just that Rio was under Marta. These days USAG doesn't seem inclined to take specialists anywhere.
You’ve seen gabby in training?

@@avyhuang101 I understand the nerves thing but she had nerves back at American classics and now here .. if she competes at nationals I hope she can really dig up the gabby from the past and show out .. she’s always had history with performing well under pressure so seeing her withdraw like that was pretty unsettling
@@HazelAmarie Ik but that was 8 years ago
If Suni goes on bars there is no need for Trinity.
simone, shilese and jade are all locks barring injury and their upgrades for championships and trials. in order for suni to make this team she's going to have to knock it out of the park on bars and beam at championships and trials and upgrade her vault and floor, and then the last spot will most likely go to the next best all arounder since we know from the last worlds and olympics that anything can happen and a main team player can go down at the last minute. that last person could be so many different people we'll just have to wait and see how they all do at championships and trials, the real competitions start in 2 weeks i'm so excited!
Jade isn't a lock at all. She has two events she is good with and that's it. USA doesnt need a person who specializes in vault and floor they need another strong bars worker. Jade doesn't fit that at all

I'm really impressed by all of them.
My team prediction is: Biles (AA), Jones (AA), Suni (BB, UB), Carey (VT, FX), Chiles (backup on everything)
But...
The international Judges hate Jade's floor... the year after she won, they changed the rules to incorporate dance. lol.
are you serious Jade just beat all of them yesterday NEXT!
Suni hasn't competed bars since her kidney issues started, so if she wants to make it on bars, she's cutting it kinda close.

@@omglauraelizabeth I said that same thing for Jade. If she comes with upgrades, my word!

Why would they be sticking landings at the us classic? I swear some of you have no common sense
I'm not going to disagree.
Let's be honest. You're not a qualified gymnastic judge & you have no idea the difficulty level of Suni's routine & why it warranted her getting the beam gold.
@@onetexan1058thank you 👏 truer words were never spoken lol
If Suni stays healthy and is able to compete bars by trials:
Vault: Jade, Shilese, Simone
Bars: Shilese, Suni, Simone
Beam: Suni, Shilese, Simone
Floor: Jade, Shilese, Simone
Pick a random gymnast but you only need these four to maximize scores.
Might as well take whoever gets third AA at trials for your team. Backup on everything.
@@ArikaNrazzle I think this is how it will go down. Right now though it is like this Suni vs Gabby, Jade vs Josc and Jordan vs everybody else (he he) for three spots.
@@aliciamcdonald7105 fair enough
I loved Suni's bar routine!!
Did she compete on bars?
Suni didn't compete bars
ジムナストの皆様方!大変美人揃いですね!
Jade should’ve been on the last Olympic team so I see no problem with her on this one either. A consistent double even finalist, is it 9 world medals I believe but for sure 7 and of course Olympic gold as well.
I hope that Gabby can pull herself together to get on her 3rd Olympic team..
Who will go to the Paris Olympics? Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, Shilese Jones, Leanne Wong and Jade Carey are huge contenders for the team. I think the number for the team is 4 and then there are specialists and alternates, but it remains to be seen as to who they are.
5 get named to the team, plus 2 alternates
Simone killed it!
@@wileecoyote671 didn't skye fall on bars in her last two elite competitions?
@omglauraelizabeth yes...i listed 6 without falls, you listed 2 with. That is 75% hit rate, not 25% as you say. Most of us discount Winter Cup, lest you forget Suni's disastrous bars there. Jade and Kayla fell last night off bars too and Suni opted out. Suni is 0% hit on bars this year. They are all looking to peak next month, not yesterday. Skye punched her ticket to World's last year by being stellar on bars, stop gaslighting me with alternative facts.
@@wileecoyote671 GASLIGHTING YOU? lol bro. You should learn the meaning of that word before you use it in a sentence. First of all, as I mentioned, I'm repeating what someone else Said. I'll go find the comment and copy it for you if it means that much to you. The fact remains that Skye is the Queen of nothing but inconsistency and shouldn't be considered seriously for a spot on the Paris team. She's a liability is what she is
For me, the US Olympic Team should be: Biles, Jones, Lincoln, Blakely, Chiles or DiCello
It’s not enough. You have a beam/UB and floor/vault specialist but you also need them to have serviceable and reliable routines on their 2 weakest events. So far Lee hasn’t shown that. Carey also has to show the mistake on bars was a one off
I miss the artistry, in gymnastics.
Infelizmente, acho que Rebeca não conquista a medalha de prata no Individual Geral nas olimpíadas. Shilese parece estar melhor.
Rebeca pode conquistar a prata sim. Basta tirar:
VT: 15,100
UB: 14,700
BB: 14,000
FX: 14,500
Total: 58,300
Vai ser uma grande disputa. Quem for mais precisa leva a prata.
It will be close.
It might be close Rebecca and Shilese for silver
Rebeca isn't known for consistency so I'm not surprised if Shilese win silver over Rebeca. Regardless, I want to see their best.
@@fgaspar1sendo que na trave ela tem feito melhorias e pode conseguir bem mais de 14,000
I support this team. Although Kayla who is usually very consistent could take Jordyn’s spot. Skye and Leanna reserves
Kayla is overscored on beam. Bent legs galore. But she’s good on the other events for sure
Wow! What a talented group
Vault - Simone is other worldly
Bars - Shilese’s power and interconnection of skills.
Shilese and Simone are close, but that’s Suni’s event
Floor - Simone,… Duh 🙄… But she’s gotta stick the Landin’s and also her wolf turn is a little off these days
Jade is powerful on the vault and her tumbling skills on the floor are money.
Shilese and Simone really building up their difficulty aiming for gold in Paris. I hope Rebeca is doing the same.
She shared an amanar on vt, toe on 1/1 fabrichnova on bars, a layout layout on beam + ftdt as dmt, and a double wolf + whip double lay on floor
@@_va_773 👍🏾
Melanie from Brazil also, love seeing these strong ladies push each other.
Shi skipped that floaty layout step out combo.😢
Just my opinione but all the skills were great however the artistry needs to improve in america and the skills need to flow together more
What's going on with USA gymnastics? Why is none of the newer girls good enough. This whole competition was extremely crunchy for most of them
It’s us classics….
Simone
Suni
Shilese
Jordan
Jade
Simone, Shilese, Jordan, Suni and depending on how the tryouts go Jade or Jocelyn. Although Jocelyn struggled abit yesterday possibly due to recovery from her injury
Joscelyn is pretty far behind Jade at this point...
Yeah I don't think joscelyn is part of the conversation anymore. It's not like Jade is just outscoring her by a little bit, she's getting full on wrecked by Jade.
@@calihapamama did you see when NBC put their scores next to each other? Lol as a Jade Stan and joscelyn hater I was loving it but I kinda feel bad for her. That's pretty embarrassing honestly. And Jade did that without full difficulty. She threw a cheng yesterday without even training it. She wasn't supposed to compete a cheng. She didn't do it in practice or podium training. And she still got a very respectable score doing it ice cold. That's wild.
@@omglauraelizabeth that graphic was unnecessary. I’m a Jade Stan, but not necessarily a Joselyn hater. I think Josc should have switched coaches sooner, to someone who would have cleaned up her execution before increasing difficulty.

THATS MY TEAM!!!!!
Simone. Shilese. Jordan. Skye. Jade.
You're picking Skye over Suni? Explain? 🤔
Not Skye at alllllll!
@@captainbryce1 Suni doesn't have a bars routine yet. That may change after national.
I ❤ Skye and she has a very hard beam routine but consistency has been an issue. I would love to see her nail it at nationals and make the team.
Skye is a NO. Suni is a lock
Simone has such a powerful run on vault . she's such a little powerhouse
Sooo a team of: Simone, Shilese, Jade, Suni and Jordan? Or Trinity Thomas? I’d pick Trinity over Jordan. More consistent.
Didn’t trinity fall twice on beam and then scratch floor at classic? Her difficulty is much lower than Jordan’s too
the team hasn't been officially chosen yet the top scorers from classics are possibles and alternates for Paris Olympics the only two locks are Simone Biles and Sunisa Lee as the highest scorers at classics the next competition is US Championships May 30th to June 2nd then the team trials at the end of June so Simone has been eligible since she won all around gold at the World Championships in Antwerp Belgium in October 2023 leading to her 20th 21st 22nd and 23rd Worlds Gold medals in team all around Individual all around Vault Beam & Floor no woman has ever swept all six Artistic Gymnastics medals at the Olympics in the 96 years Women have been competing although there have been 3 Women to win 5 of the 6 medals at the Olympics Mary Lou Retton 1984 Los Angeles Shannon Miller in Barcelona 1992 and Simone Biles in Rio in 2016 4 Gold team Gold individual all around Gold Vault Gold Floor Gold and Beam Bronze and team silver and Beam Bronze in Tokyo where as in 1996 Miller won 2 Gold Medals team all around and Balance Beam the only apparatus she never medaled at in the Olympics was Vault she won 2 silver and 3 Bronze in 1992 tied with Cristina Bontas of Romania and Tatiana Gutsu of Ukraine for Bronze on Floor she got bronze on bars and team bronze and the two silver were individual all around and beam tied with Lu Li of China
15.600 ain’t no way that would score that high internationally! Not with those steps
Each step was 0.3, so that’s 0.6 off. Flexed feet and bend knees in the air are 0.1 each, so that’s 0.8 off. Seems realistic to me.
I wonder why Skye B. Is not able do perform better????😢
Leanne is not even an alternate at this point…
Rebeca Andrade is the best in the world right now!
Sky-High!!!
I mean, she's not, but she is definitely amazing! No one is better than Simone. Andrade and Shilese will fight for Silver.
Simone shouldn't have been allowed to even try to be on the team, she's going to flake out again and drop out of the team competition and only care about the individual. Those other girls deserve a better teammate.
You clearly don’t know the full story or what you’re talking about.
What was that again about her dropping out of the team competition? I love when haters are proven wrong.😂
Simone might take them to team gold but if she has a bad day then it's over for them. Oh and if russia was there imao i don't even need to say what would happen.
Poor thing you.
Hahaha that’s hilarious. We’ve seen Russia compete this year, they are laughable bad
Don’t think the Russian at the current juncture would do well either, judging from Russian cup not long ago, they look worse than the Italian team lol
Say less-we don’t need your negativity.
Betty White😂
good competition but inflated scores on devices especially on ub and fx, Shilese 8.7 And on ub?? please give her a maximum of 15 with this difficulty.. and shilese can't get 14 on fx 13.8 and biles 14.6, not to mention the terrible artistic talents of biles and jade, the only american with good artistic performance on the ground is shilese biles jade and jordan they look like robots
Cara, tu vai quebrar a cara. A Shilese tira 8.7 sim se faz uma assimétricas dessa nas olimpíadas.
