Today she would have peeled her shirt off and glued herself to the kings horse.

She was not a kamikaze. Detailed analysis of the colorised newsreel shows very clearly that she was trying to drape a banner over Anmer's reins. How she thought she could do this in milliseconds probably tells us that she had no idea of the sheer velocity of a racehorse.

They went on to become very good friends and opened up a string of Ice Cream parlors. In all seriousness though, I believe I read somewhere that they both survived with no serious injuries and that he actually rode that same horse to victory in another race not long after.

The horse, Anmer, actually tried to finish the race. He wasn't injured from the collision and continued on his career as a racehorse. The jockey suffered a concussion, but recovered completely and continued to race until his retirement in the early 20s. Upon her death, he laid a wreath on Pankhurst's grave in honor of her and Emily Davison, whom he accidentally killed in the video here. He, unfortunately, committed suicide in the 50s after his wife's death.

Horrible behavior, nothing more. What about the horse and jockey? No one should ever pretend this sort of action is OK. Also, she didn't "throw herself" in front of the horse. She walked out and stood there to stuff a cloth with a slogan into the horse's tack as it passed by. Of course, that might not end well, but she probably didn't expect this deadly result. However, Darwin predicted it.

I find it unbelievable that people in the comments can be so vacuous, when they have the world of the internet at their fingers and say, ‘Why would she do that?’ and ‘What happened to the horse and jockey?’ Are these people still spoon-fed and unable to dress themselves? Do some research. You might learn something.
