this is supposed to be a civilian training academy as opposed to a military one. why did pnpa adopts most of the system in PMA? no wonder most police dont think that police is a civilian agency.

+Miller Luzong PNPA graduates are government scholars, with montly stipends.. Once they graduate, they are confered Bachelor of Science in Public Safety or BSPS.. They are the cream of the crop, considering that out of 35k applicants, only the Top 300 will be included in the batch. Once they graduate, they are automatically commissioned as Inspectors or Lieutenant. They can choose their line of service, whether they will join PNP, BFP or BJMP... They will study inhouse as cadets at PNPA Camp Castañeda for 4 years where their studies will also undergo trainings. The concept is similar to PMA.. While the BS Crim is a course offered in colleges/universities. Their studies is just like any other courses in colleges. When they graduate, they will take the licensure exam administered by PRC... Once they passed the exam, they may apply at PNP, BJMP and BFP.. Non board passers may also take napolcom po1 exam. If they pass these, they will undergo series of exams, afterwhich, they will undergo 6months of training and 6months of Field training program... Then, they will be enter the PNP as Non commissioned officers with the rank of PO1, the lowest rank in the PNP...

Since the advent of the anti-hazing law, the Academy has been very serious in imposing the law and preventing maltreatment of cadets. there are several mechanism of checks being imposed inside the academy that would limit another cadet from conducting hazing. first of which is values education programs . second is the surprise Medical/body checks. any hematoma, gashes, other injuries found will be reported and squad leaders will be held accountable. hazing case is always a followed by dismissal of the senior cadets who have a direct supervision over the victim cadets. as such, your squadleaders, upperclassmen would surely look over you to ensure that nothing will happen to you. or else their own cadetship and officership is at stake. (former cadet, now an officer)

Isa lng po ang Training samga binubuno ng ating mga kadete sir. But there are other things aside from that. 4 years inside the academy, academic activities, extra curricular, and many more. Hindi lng po palakasan o pahirapan ang labanan. But of course, I really would agree na ang training sa SAF ay mahirap. A lot of officers that I admire are in SAF, or from SAF. Wala tayong pagtatalunan Jan sir.

+Blacksherman20 Hi sir, yes you can choose your branch, if you are referring to the tribureau: the bjmp,bfp and PNP. on the different unit(or specialty, if that's what you mean) selection, depende ksi every year nagbabago ang rule sa time namin, ang SAF at Maritime Group lang ang pwde piliin. the rest ay nagbunutan na kung saang region maaasign. kung gusto mo mag crjme lab, PNPA hasno quota for that unit kasi technical unit po yan. ang graduates ng PNPA ay sa line units lng po napupunta. so di po kayo mapupunta dun.
